comparison of development for given
countries.
2. Forms judgment as regards to the relative
level of development, and
3. Identify certain factors, both positive and
negative, which are significant in
determining the level as well as the pace
of development of country

3.  Development is a dynamic process in which
various factors 22 interact with each other.
 The purpose of development education is to
create awareness among educators and
learners of the this dynamic process.
 This also equip them with necessary skills
and motivate them to make +contributions.
 For doing this job the DE exposes the various
theories of socio economic system.

◦ Gross national Happiness (Bhutanese concept)
collective happiness, sustainable environment.
