1. Peter stood up before the crowd and addressed them, forgetting his past failures of denying Jesus. 2. He knew his audience was made up of Jews and others from Jerusalem, and responded to their assumption that the disciples were drunk by explaining what was happening using Scripture. 3. Peter focused on who Jesus was and what God had done through him, calling the people to repent and be baptized in Jesus' name for forgiveness of their sins.
