The document discusses the agenda of the United Nations Security Council meeting regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict from the perspective of Bangladesh. It provides background on the historical origins of the conflict over land between Arab and Jewish peoples in Palestine and Israel. It notes Bangladesh does not recognize Israel and forbids travel to Israel in solidarity with Palestinian statehood. Bangladesh condemns Israeli attacks in Palestine and views an independent Palestinian state as the only solution to the long-standing conflict.
An overview of the definition of refugees, similar terms and international legal regime concerning refugee laws, with special focus on the problem under Indian perspective.
Israel is a country of minorities—literally built and founded by immigrants from a multitude of ethnicities.
Judaism is the largest religion but its adherents hail from all across the globe, from Asia to South America. Hence, it
is difficult to talk about Israel without mentioning its core value of immigration by Jews from all corners of the earth,
or ‘Aliyah,’ (“ascension” to Israel).
Jews comprise approximately 75 percent of Israel’s total population. Israel’s Basic Law on Human Dignity and Liberty ensures full social and political equality, regardless of ethnicity, religion or gender to all its citizens.
The Syrian refugee situation, has become one of the biggest humanitarian crisis’ in the last decade. An estimated 9 million Syrians have fled their homes since the outbreak of civil war in March 2011. We see it on tv. We read about it in the news…but do we understand who and what a refugee is?
This slide is about the violence against refugee women and development of law over the period of time in relation to the refugee women. It also talks about the protection of refugees in India through the International Obligations, Constitutional provisions and the case laws.

It is full UN organization since it is created by UN General assembly within UN framework. This organization follows the notion of migration management but there is underlying differences between International Organization of Migration(IOM) and UNHCR. The first difference is IOM was not created within UN framework.
It was created as per UN general resolution in 1950 for the duration of 2 years to settle European refugees after world war II. And then renewed for three years and then renewed for 5 years and then later renewed till refugees exists. Like UN General assembly created them it can also be deleted.
Mission: It has two pillars since established.
International protection of the refugees and for this to collaborate with states the problems of the refugees and promote protection of refugees.
To provide resolution or assist in the durable solution by helping refugees to return to their own country or to settle permanently in another country.

This article aims to demonstrate the urgent need for the celebration of peace between Israel and Palestine to prevent the escalation of civil war in Israel between Jews and Muslims, of a regional war between Israel and Iran and other Arab countries and even of a new world war involving the great powers. Current events in which Palestinians in the Gaza Strip launch rockets over Israeli cities and Israel retaliates by dropping bombs and rockets over the Gaza Strip, that could evolve into their occupation by the Israeli Army and the massacre of the population in Gaza, need to be stopped. Unlike past conflicts, the current conflict is also contributing to the outbreak of a civil war in Israel involving Israeli Jews and Arabs. Peace must be celebrated between Palestinians and Israelis in order to end the violence between the two sister peoples and end the bloodbath that has occurred in the region since the end of the First World War in 1918.
PEACE BETWEEN ISRAEL AND PALESTINE REQUIRES EXTREMISTS OUT OF POWER AND RESTR...Faga1939
This article aims to demonstrate the need for Israeli and Palestinian extremists to be removed from power and for the UN to be restructured so that there is peace between Israel and Palestine. The construction of peace can only happen in the Palestine region if the Jewish people in Israel and throughout the world, as well as the Palestinians, politically repel the extremists who exercise power in their territories and establish governments that seek conciliation between the Jewish and Palestinian peoples. It can be said that there is only one solution to the conflict between Palestine and Israel: on the one hand, Israel needs to accept the constitution of the Palestinian State, seek a fair and negotiated solution regarding Jerusalem and the fate of Palestinian refugees and end the settlements Jews in the West Bank and, on the other, Palestinians need to recognize the State of Israel because neither Palestinians nor Israelis can impose their will on each other. Neither the right-wing extremists who govern Israel nor the Palestinian extremist groups will be able to impose their will by force of arms in Palestine. It is unlikely that the conflict between Palestinians and Jews will be resolved today because existing international institutions are not capable of building a negotiated solution to the conflict between these two peoples and between Israel, Iran and the Arab countries. This means that there is an urgent need to restructure the international system to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine, between Russia and Ukraine and all international conflicts that may occur in the future. The time has come for humanity to promote the construction of world peace and to exercise control over its destiny. To achieve these objectives, it is urgent to restructure the UN with a view to transforming it into a democratic government of the world that constitutes the only means of survival for the human species.

This article aims to demonstrate the urgent need to celebrate peace between the State of Israel and the people of Palestine to avoid the escalation of the civil war in Israel between Jews and Palestinians, a regional war between Israel and Iran and other Arab countries and , even, of a new world war involving the great powers. The construction of peace can only happen if the Jewish people in Israel and throughout the world, as well as the Palestinians, politically repel the extremists who exercise power in their territories and establish governments that seek conciliation between the Jewish and Palestinian peoples. This would be the way to avoid the continuation of the conflict between the State of Israel and the Palestinian people, which could evolve into a regional war involving all countries in the region. The transition from a regional war to a global conflict can also happen with the involvement of major military powers with the United States and the European Union alongside Israel and Russia and China alongside the Palestinians. We need to prevent the conflict between the State of Israel and the Palestinian people from becoming the epicenter of a new World War. Only peace between Palestinians and Jews will avoid the worst for their people and for humanity.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Agenda: Arab Israel conflict
Country: Bangladesh
A conflict between Arab- Israeli had led to wars and millions of displaced people. This particular
conflict has historical origins in the lives of the Arab and Jewish people. “The beginning of
Zionism and the Arab-Israeli Conflict explain the basic principles of this complicated dispute”
During the course of history, different groups have invaded Israel and Palestine. The area is
historically the homeland of the Jewish people who migrated to the area in the thirteenth
century but the true conflict began around 20th Century. The conflict mainly is a struggle over
land. Until 1948, both the Arab and Jewish people claimed the land of Palestine for numerous
reasons.
United Nations adopted many actions to control the conflict, and established new mechanisms.
Resolutions and Peacekeeping Operations adopted by the UN General Assembly and Security
Council. In the period from 1947 to 2002, the General Assembly adopted 627 Resolutions on
the Arab-Israel conflict. This production can be divided into three periods; the General
Assembly produced many Resolutions. This includes partition plan of the region, the Palestine
Mediator, the commissions for the Armistice Agreements and the Conciliation Commissions and
territories issues.
Bangladesh does not recognize Israel as legitimate and officially forbids its citizens to travel to
Israel by putting "Valid for travel to all countries except Israel" on Bangladeshi passports.
Bangladesh follows the same policy as other Muslim states, supporting an independent
Palestinian state and the destruction of Israel. Because there is an absence of ties, there are no
economic relations between the two states and Bangladesh has a complete ban on Israel,
ranging from travel, trade (direct and indirect) and other sectors of bilateral relations.
Bangladesh strongly condemns the ongoing discriminate Israel attacks in Palestine Bangladesh
reiterates its long position that the continued occupation of Palestine by Israel is the root cause
of violence, unrest and destabilization in the region. The people of Palestine are being denied of
their fundamental right to self-determination and the right to live freely in their own land.
Millions of Palestinians are living in refugee camps for generations in abject poverty.
Bangladesh believe in establishing of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem its capital
is the only sustainable solution to this lasting conflict
