The Endangered Archives Programme aims to preserve archives in danger of destruction or deterioration worldwide by funding their digitization. It focuses on pre-industrial archives in places like Latin America. Projects have identified collections in countries like Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, and Peru. Grants of up to £10,000 are provided for pilot projects and up to £50,000 for major projects to locate, transfer, and digitize collections so they can be openly accessed online through the British Library. The digitized archives will remain in the countries of origin and the equipment provided is meant to be used for future preservation efforts.
Virtual memory
The document summarizes key aspects of virtual memory, including:
1) Virtual memory allows programs to have a virtual address space larger than physical memory by storing unused portions on disk and swapping them in and out of RAM as needed. This allows more programs to run simultaneously.
2) Address translation converts virtual addresses to physical addresses using a page table. If a page is not in memory, a page fault occurs which triggers swapping the needed page in from disk.
3) Page replacement algorithms like FIFO, LRU, and optimal selection determine which page to swap out when a new page needs to be brought in and no empty page frames are available. The algorithm with the fewest page faults is optimal

Students and teachers from a secondary school in Słupia, Poland visited Parma, Italy from October 7-12, 2013 as part of a partnership program between their school and a school in Parma. During the visit, the Polish students presented a multimedia presentation about a book and worked on joint projects with Italian students. The group toured Parma and Florence, visiting museums, palaces, and vineyards. They met with writers and school administrators to further their partnership program. The students found the trip to be a great adventure and cultural experience.

Meeting in Igualada (6 -10 Nov 2012) POLAND
The students and teachers from the Roman Czernecki Secondary School in Słupia, Poland participated in the international project "Wordcrossing" in Igualada, Spain from November 6-10, 2012. The delegation learned about the Spanish education system through participating in classes and visiting cultural sites like Montserrat and Barcelona. They met students from partner schools in Spain, Greece, Turkey, Italy and Romania to collaborate on project tasks and establish communication for future visits. The trip provided opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and learning about Catalonia.
