4. The purpose of Color
• Color plays a vitally important role in the world
in which we live. Color can sway thinking,
change actions, and cause reactions. It can
irritate or soothe your eyes, raise your blood
pressure or suppress your appetite. When used
in the right ways, color can even save on
energy consumption.
As a powerful form of communication, color is
irreplaceable. Red means "stop" and green
means "go." Traffic lights send this universal
message. Likewise, the colors used for a
product, web site, business card, or logo
cause powerful reactions. Color Matters!
5. The History behind Color :
How color wheels looked in the past & how they look today !
6. Where does color come from
• Color actually comes from light
refracted through prisms. Then light
travels through a prism (or
atmosphere) is bent and forms
different colors. When something is
white it is the combination of all color -
as that's how color starts out.
7. Rainbow facts
• When you see a rainbow... it is after rain. The sun is
always behind you and the rain in front of you when
a rainbow appears, so the center of the rainbow's
arc is directly opposite the sun.
• Most people think... the only colors of a rainbow are
red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet,
but a rainbow is actually made up of an entire
continuum of colors, even colors the eye can't see!
