Opportunity Grant
• Undergrad students holding Pell Grants and

• Students can get $100 to $4,000 each school
year depending on the student's financial
need, the college they are attending and other
school financial aid policies.

8. Academic Competitiveness Grant
• This supplemental grant is awarded to first
and second year students who demonstrate
academic merit and were also awarded a
Federal Pell Grant.
• Students can get $750 for their first year of
study and another $1,300 for their second
year.

9. National SMART Grant
• The National Science and Mathematics Access
to Retain Talent (SMART) Grant is a
supplementary grant awarded to science,
math, computer, technology and engineering
students who are in their third or fourth year
of study.
• This $4,000 grant is awarded to students who
are eligible for Pell grants.

10. TEACH Grant
• This $4,000 grant is awarded to
undergraduate, post-baccalaureate and
graduate students who promise to teach in an
elementary or secondary school (public or
private) that caters to low income students.
