May 5, 2016 Online Regulation of Gambling
Casinos and gambling go well together like cheese and crackers. Gambling has been a part of the
hospitality and tourism industry for many years. Most people find it fascinating to see what their
chances are of willing a large sum of money is like and perhaps retiring early to enjoy their money.
Gambling attracts risk takers and adventurous people and it will always give an adrenaline rush
because they are playing with the unknown and it gives them an exciting feeling of anticipation.

Most of the calls would be going to Las Vegas and deals were being made constantly. The fear of
these organized crimes growing is a big concern for the Department of Justice. It is essentially
money laundering. The Department of Justice are looking for larger scale organizations rather
than a friend betting twenty dollars over the San Francisco Giants at a tailgate party. The
Interstate Wire Act was passed in 1961 and it has been very powerful from then on. However,
this has restricted Americans from having a good time with family and friends betting online as
well as gambling online. This act created a new law created more consequences to those who
participate in the illegal act of making gambles over the phone. As always, there will be some
people who will run an online operation of this or perhaps who call to places that use a different
name that is more discreet. However, this law has already made a huge impact on America s
economy and hospitality industry.
Next, The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) is another law passed by
lawmakers to shut down completely of organized illegal activities that are monitored by a third
party. The significance of this law is making it impossible for banks and financial institutions to
process the checks or transfers. People are confused by this law because it doesn t prevent others
from placing bets online or bet on the wire but it rather focuses on the payments that will be made
to another individual in results of

King Lear Vs A Thousand Acres Analysis
King Lear vs A Thousand Acres
While it may appear that Jane Smiley s A Thousand Acres is nothing but a modernized interpretation
of Shakespeare s King Lear, one can see that below the surface these two tales are anything but
alike. Through Smiley s characters Larry, Caroline, Ginny and Rose, it is easy to conclude that they
contrast their parallels, Lear, Cordelia, Goneril and Rose, greatly from Shakespeare s play. Among
the multiple themes that make this conclusion possible, the most prominent are the contrasting
themes of relationships, outcomes, character development and motivations.
At first, Shakespeare portrays King Lear as an arrogant man whose only concern is himself; Lear
has no problem relishing in his title and power as ruler, but has trouble carrying out the
responsibilities of a king and doing good for his people. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Caroline is portrayed as an intelligent, successful and well put together daughter, which is more
than Cordelia was perceived as. While Caroline was in fact pushed away due to her not agreeing
with her fathers ideas, instead of being seen as the good daughter, she is envied by her sisters.
As for her relationship with her father Larry, she was more or less forced into caring for him.
Due to her ignorance towards his molestation of Ginny and Rose, Caroline takes in her father
and attempts to protect him from her sisters who she believes are trying to hurt him. While Rose
tries to convince Caroline that Ginny and her are in fact trying to help, We did everything for
you! We saved you from Daddy! (Smiley 244), Caroline disagrees saying, Did I really have to be
saved from Daddy? From my own father? (Smiley 244). While Caroline is forced to care for her
father because her sisters would not, Cordelia willingly forgave and went with her father. This
difference in relationships only further aid the reader to conclude that Shakespeare and Smiley s
work are not

Thomas Pynchon Meaning
A screaming comes from the sky , imagine the moment where the sky is screaming. The image of
a mouth stretched as far as the eyes could reach, wide open screaming. Where the world is at a
standstill: the scream is ringing, eyes and fists are clenched. It is the moment where the story
begins. Although, in this phrase, it is taken out of context. I m talking about the image, Thomas
Pynchon is talking about the story. Well, in this lifetime, it is the What does this mean. What does
this mean. . . . or Where now? Who now? When now? of life.

Case 6.1 – Wild Horses Adm-624 Essay
Case 6.1 Wild Horses
Grand Canyon University: ADM 624
01/16/2013
In my opinion the Bureau of Land Management has had a great impact with all the services they
have provided over the time. As the years have past it has become triple the coast to keep up with
maintaining the care, services, shelter, and feeding of these horses. I understand the need and want
to keep the horses population from dying out being instinct and letting them run freely in the wild
as they are known to do. Not all animals should be restricted to where they can roam to just as
humans. Also like the human race the more you roam and run wild the more it is going to cost you

Now with all these know facts, acts, opinions all viewed as good and bad a decision can be made
by looking at what is helping and what is not helping. What was the main goal and purpose of
the program? Has it been met and if so are all the requirements and rules being kept and met to.
Also have to look and what is going to help keep the funding up and enough of it to maintain the
BLM up and running for years to come. This means abiding by the required rules regardless of
what the public or anyone else thinks. The key factor here is that the BLM is making sure they
are keeping these horses race alive, well, free to run, and very populated. By sticking to destroying
and selling off with no limits then the BLM s would not even be in this situation.
Going through all those steps one at a time including feed back and input from all involved

The Electronic Dance Music Culture
The first time when on the radio I listened to the remixed song Why Don t You?, I was quite of
surprised how DJ accessed to musical material from the past. The song affected me with a sense
of the past although it was skilfully woven and shaped into a new, very danceable sound of
electronic music described Irina Cvijanović. (Cvijanovic) Electronic dance music, or better
known as edm , has completely changed the music industry. Edm has now taken over radio and
the mainstream, and has become one of the main aspects of popular culture. (Tankel) The rise
and popularity of edm comes from it s unique and innovative sound that is based heavily on the
idea of musical remixing and the blending of genres. Bedroom producers have taken over the
music industry by incorporating old songs into brand new unique remixes that are being played
and enjoyed all around the world. (Väkevä) This electronic dance music culture has become one
of the most popular and profitable events in the United States, and they are only getting bigger and
better. An important pioneer and well recognized figure in this industry is Thomas Wesley Pentz or
professionally known as Diplo. Diplo has not only become one of the world s most popular DJ s,
but is known worldwide for his hybridization of musical genres. Diplo was one of the first
producers to incorporate dancehall and reggaeton into popular music, and with his Top 40 charting
tracks Lean on and Where Are U Now, has become a key innovator in popular

7 Habits Of Highly Effective Teens Book Report
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens written by Sean Covey, has made me a smarter, more
confident, and more efficient teenager, and really can do the same for you. Sean Covey began
his post secondary education at Brigham Young University, where he also played quarterback
for the Cougars football team. While Covey s future in football was promising, he suffered an
ultimately career ending injury after his junior season. Although his football career was over, his
academic career had only just begun. He later went on to earn a masters degree in business from
Harvard University. Since the release of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, Covey has

This topic is paradigm shifts. A synonym for a paradigm would be a perception, and for most
teenagers, the way you are perceived is a very important piece of the mental, and emotional
aspect of life. Asking yourself what is most important to you, and what you spend the most time
thinking about, can often reveal the paradigms of your life. Covey refers to paradigms as life
centers, or things you center your life around. Some of these life centers include friends, stuff,
school, parents, sports, and social media. I learned that heavily focusing on one of these life
centers is not a healthy way to perceive your life, and that equally focusing on all of them is a
much more effective way to use paradigms. Time management is another subject I feel Covey
has really mastered. Covey puts all people into four quadrants: slackers, procrastinators, the yes
man, and the prioritizers. Being honest with yourself and determining where you fall in these
four categories is important. Once you have decided where you are at, you decide where you want
to be, and how you are going to get there. Setting up a game plan is one of Covey s go to strategies
for dealing with the problems of being a teenager. A plan, with the end in mind, is a major key in
becoming the best person you can be. Covey s main point for readers, was to have a perfect balance

Brown V Board Of Education
Landmark Supreme Court Cases пЃ¬Brown v Board of Education (1954) пѓ The Background: In
the 1950 s, schools were separated by race. Linda Brown and her sister had to walk down a
dangerous railroad switchyard to get to the bus stop to their all black elementary school. There was
an all white school closer to the Brown s house, and the Brown family believed that segregated
schools violated the Constitution. пѓ The Constitutional Issue: This issue violated the Equal
Protection Clause of the Fourteenth amendment because segregated schools for people of race are
unconstitutional and unequal. пѓ The Outcome: The Supreme Court states that segregated schools
could never be equal to each other. The Court decided that laws requiring separate schools
violated the Fourteenth Amendment. This decision supports that all people are equal. As a
student, I am affected because people of different race are welcome to go to school where I go to
school. пЃ¬Mapp v Ohio (1961) пѓ The Background: The police were suspicious of Dollree Mapp
hiding a person suspected in a bombing. They went to her house and demanded entrance, but Mapp
would not let them in because they did not have a warrant. The police broke into her house and
found evidence of crime. At the trial, the police could not show their warrant at the U.S. Supreme
Court. пѓ The Constitutional Issue: This violated the Fourth Amendment, because the Fourth
Amendment protects the people from unreasonable search and seizure by the government. пѓ The

Pep Rally Argumentative Essay
Based on the criteria we set as a class, I determined that the Pep Rally went successful. A Pep
Rally is where we compete against other grade levels in order to win a prize. The prizes are
homework free for a week and having a week to listen to music during lunch. Although, in order
to receive this prize you must win the break down. A break down is when we stomp on the floor
to make sick beats. Each grade level gets a turn to participate the break down in other words,
who ever stomps the loudest wins! The criteria that I used to evaluate the SGMS Pep Rally was
Energy, Loud, Good Music, Games, and Performances/Visitors. One reason why the Pep Rally
went successful is Energy. Although, teachers didn t seem to have that much energy at the Pep
Rally. But, the whole students had a lot of energy they just wanna go KABOOM. During, the Pep
Rally students were jumping on the bleachers cheering for their Team. Also, teachers and students
were screaming saying their favorite quote THIS IS OUR HOUSE !!!. Lastly, students were
stomping as Loud as thunder where they can make their team better than any other grade levels.
Another, reason that the Pep Rally went successful is Performances or Visitors. Now we didn t
have any Performances or Visitors that came to SGMS because in my opinion I think maybe their

Rationale For Selecting A Research
3.0 INTRODUCTION
The aim of this chapter is to validate the method of the research which will be used in this study.
The different type of ploy that will be used in delivering this research will be explained and the
chosen strategy will also be highlighted. There will also be an explanation on the rationale for
selection. Also in this chapter, I will explain comprehensively the merits and demerits of the method
chosen and highlight various ways which this dissertation will be undertaken alongside the
referencing to enhance validity and reliability. The approach of the research and the paradigm of the
research will be briefly explained and the various data source will be identified.
3.1 RESEARCH PHILOSOPHY
3.1.1 RESEARCH PARADIGM
A research paradigm can be described as a framework which philosophically pilots the way
scientific research should be implemented. However, Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus (1997),
defined the term philosophy as the obtaining truth and knowledge though the use of reason and
argument . There are two major types of paradigms described by Collins and Hussey (2009).
Positivist Research: These research paradigm is based on the hypothesis that fact is objective and
singular and altered by the act of fact finding. Under this type of research method, the basis of
clarification is supplied by theories, allows anticipation and also allows them to be controlled

Criticism of Reality Television
The days of traditional television shows, movies and plays are slowly coming to an end. Many
people have replaced scripted shows with favorite actors with reality television. Reality television
has introduced viewers to a cast of regular people they can relate to, and some of whom they are
fond of or mimic in their day to day life basis. Reality television has however been on the receiving
end of endless criticism. Critics maintain that it has overwhelmingly turned young girls into divas
and young men into bodybuilders . Despite this rapid transition in media that has led many to an
inclination toprefer reality television rather than the traditional television shows, movies and
plays, which was the case many years back, critics feel that the social, moral fabric is eroding at
an extremely high rate . Certainly, this criticism aid in shaping reality television as we shall see in
this study .
While network officials and all the brains behind any reality television broadcast that benefit
tremendously from the high ratings of reality television are filled with praise, the industry continues
to face overwhelming criticism (Rose). The strongest of them being talented movie or tv show
actors and scriptwriters who feel that popularity has shifted from talent based shows to reality

Essay on Case Study Ticketmaster Exclusive Dealing
Ticketmaster v. Tickets.com (2003 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 6484) Background Ticketmaster ( TM ) and
Tickets.com ( TC ) were full service ticketing companies serving local markets across the United
States. In the late 1990s, TM sued TC for deep linking, whereby TC allegedly listed TM events on
its website and linked visitors to TM s website just before the point of purchase. TC countersued
under Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act claiming TM s exclusive contracts unreasonably
restrained trade and maintained their monopoly in the ticketing industry. TC s fundamental claim
was that TM s long term exclusive contracts with venues foreclosed TC from competition, resulting

Typically, all companies proposed long term exclusive contracts across all four distribution
methods. The length was generally 3 10 years with the average being 5 6 years. Thus, on
average around 20% of venue contracts came up for bid each year3. According to TC, it
competed with TM for every large venue contract that came up for bid since 19984. The relevant
price a venue pays a ticketing company is the split of the C H fees. For example, suppose the
average per ticket C H fee for Staples Center is $15. During the RFP process, Staples Center
negotiates with each ticket company over the share of the C H fee Staples would keep and the
share that would go to the ticket company. The amount of C H fees that goes to the ticket
company is the relevant price paid by Staples Center for ticketing services. Thus, of a $15 C H
fee, if Staples Center gets $7 and Ticketmaster gets $8, the relevant price paid by Staples for
ticketing services is $8. If Staples chooses the Paciolan self supply option, it pays a licensing fee
and then keeps the entire $15 C H fee for itself. Sometimes up front payments are made to a venue
such as lump sum payments (e.g., $1 million upon contract signing), cash advances, or low interest
loans that are paid back to the ticket company by future C H fees. In addition to contracts with
individual venues, both TM and TC competed for long term exclusive contracts with

Army Musket
Throughout history the United States Army has undergone a plethora of changes. Since its
inception in 1776 ever this has evolved from personnel, to rank structure, even the uniforms but the
one piece of equipment that has seen the most change has been the weaponry; more specifically the
small arms issued to individual soldiers. Small arms used by American forces in the Revolution
were many and varied, however at the beginning of the war the British Short Land Service Musket,
often referred to as the Brown Bess, was perhaps the most common musket on hand. In 1777, the
French allied themselves with the American cause and began sending arms and equipment. After

M16 reached Vietnam, reports of jamming and malfunctions in combat immediately began to

Moreover, complaints about the inadequate penetration and stopping power of the 5.56mm

Emotion Coaching And Children With Oppositional Defiant...
Emotion Coaching and Children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder
Children who consistently display behavioral problems in the home and within a social context
(Dunsmore, Booker, Ollendick, 2013) characterize oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). According
to Dunsmore, Booker, and Ollendick (2013), the widespread cases for ODD are 1 percent to 13
percent in children at the age of 6 17 years (p. 444). Children with ODD have frequent explosive
episodes of opposition, disputation, and antagonist behaviors that upset intercommunications with
like aged children, their own parents, and siblings (Dunsmore, et. al., 2013). Other evidence of
ODD involves rage, quick agitation, and becoming nasty or revengeful (Dunsmore, Booker,

China s Nationalism And Isolation From Western Society
For thousands of years China has operated dynastically, in a cyclic mode, causing no forward
movement or linear progress. China s ethnocentrism and isolation from Western society led to
internal disorder. The isochronous nature of the Chinese feudal system eventually led to the demise
of the last dynasty, the Qing Dynasty, in 1911. This vulnerability provided Western influence
allowing for imperialism throughout the country. Students and intellectuals with Westernized
educations saw that the political and social turmoil was attributed to a long history of rejection of
anything Western. On May 4, 1919, students led a revolt, called the May Fourth Movement, against
Confucian culture promoting science, democracy, and anti imperialism. The May Fourth
Movement was a period of total iconoclasm, of complete rejection of past tradition, and of absolute
ratification of western ideals resulting in a literary revolution. By exploring Lu Xun s realist
writing style and Yu Dafu s romantic writing style, the true function of literature during the May
Fourth era is revealed.
May Fourth Background: The May Fourth movement occurred as a response to the Chinese
government s poor response to the Treaty of Versailles, known as the Shandong problem. The
Treaty of Versailles took the rights to the Shandong providence, in China, from Germany and gave
them to Japan. When attending the meeting, China came with three requests; first was abolition of
all foreign privileges, second was the

Scoliosis Research Paper
Introduction
Everyone s spine has natural curve which round our shoulders and make our lower back curve
slightly inward (Common Scoliosis Questions). Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine
(Taylor, 2011, p394). Scoliosis can also be defined as a lateral (towards the inside) curvature of the
spine with increased convexity (the quality or state of being curved outward) on the side that is
curve (Taylor, 2011, p601). There are several less common types of scoliosis, but the four major
different types of scoliosis are congenital scoliosis, early onset scoliosis, idiopathic scoliosis, and
neuromuscular scoliosis. The spinal curves cannot be corrected simply by learning to stand up
straight like poor posture.

It affects eighty five percent of people. Idiopathic scoliosis frequently runs in families and there
is a growing body of evidence that genetics plays a major role (What Causes Scoliosis, 2008).
Congenital scoliosis is when scoliosis is present at birth when the vertebrae is irregularly
formed. Central nervous system disorders (cerebral palsy), muscle diseases (muscular
dystrophy), or genetic diseases (Down syndrome) may cause scoliosis. Infections and fractures
containing the spine, may cause scoliosis. The risk factors for scoliosis are age, gender, and
family history. The usual age is typically between 9 and 15 years, which signs and symptoms
begin during growth spurt prior to puberty. Both boys and girls develop mild scoliosis at about
the same rate, yet, girls have a much higher risk of the curve worsening and requiring treatment
(Scoliosis, 2012). Scoliosis is maybe hereditary, but most children with scoliosis do not have a
family history of the disease (Scoliosis, 2012). If there is a family history of scoliosis, 20% will

Islm Curve
Understanding Equilibrium in the IS/LM Model 1995 version Prof. Humberto Barreto1
Introduction: This brief work is designed to provide additional ammunition for the student in the
ongoing war against IS/LM confusion and ignorance. The author has claimed in his Notes on
Macroeconomic Theory (1995) that, There should be no mystery or uncertainty surrounding the IS
/LM analysis at this point. IS/LM curves are simply a short cut to finding the equilibrium values for
income and interest rate. There are two equations and two unknownsГ‘what simpler strategy than to
put them on one graph could be devised? (p. 52) The author still worries, however, that the student
is memorizing the equilibrium condition, IS=LM generates Ye, without really... Show more content

The student should see that the existing values of i and Y will have a tendency to change. The
interest rate will fall because there is a shortage of bonds and as the price of bonds rises to drive
the bond market to equilibrium, the interest rate will fall. The equilibrium interest rate, of course,
will be found at the intersection of the Ms and Md schedules. Output will increase because a
falling interest rate will trigger higher investment expenditures by firms. The increased I will
increase AD and, therefore, Ye will increase. But then the higher income will shift money demand
up, which will increase the equilibrium interest rate, and the same chain will be triggered leading
to a decrease in the equilibrium level of output. The student undoubtedly knows that, eventually,
after running through a series of converging loops, the system will settle into a mutually
compatible, or general equilibrium, combination of i and Y. If you think the iteration process is a
messy and cumbersome means of calculating the general equilibrium, or final, resting place of i
and Y, you should applaud the use of the IS/LM graph. In one quick graph, we can immediately
and easily see the system s general equilibrium solution. From our initial i0, Y0 combination, the
IS/LM graph allows us to instantly see the final solution and to predict a decrease in interest rates
and increase in output. However, a drawback is that it does not show how or why

The Language Of A Programing Language
A Programing language is a formal language that is designed to communicate information to
machine. By using programing languages we will write code to control the machine and for the
computation. The programing languages are preceded by the invention of computer. The first
computer programing language was written in 1950 s. The first high level programing
language Short Code was proposed by John Mauchly s in 1949 for an electronic computer.
Generally the artificial language can been split into syntax (form) and semantics (meaning).
During that period the computer hardware was very cheap and advanced which requires a good
programing tool to develop a computer application software for the system. C was developed by
Dennis Ritchie in 1972. C was the most popular programming languages at that period. As time
goes on programmers found that it was difficult with structure syntax and they developed a new
philosophy language called as OOP. The main concept in OOP was reuse of code. By including
all the features and fundamentals of OOP, the new programing language was named as C++
which was developed by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1979. In OOP, problem is made into small units
known as objects. Class is the basic unit of code which helps in creating the run time objects.
OOP uses bottom up approach. The design of OOP is the chain of responsibility i.e the pattern
consists of a source command objects and a series of processing objects. The basic features of OOP
are 1. Object. 2. Class. 3.

The Argument for Shakespeare Being the Real Author
Ever since the author s background has been questioned, scholars and other people have debated
over who wrote the famous plays and sonnets that have the name William Shakespeare signed on
them. Many alternative candidates have been presented, such as Edward de Vere, the 17th Earl
of Oxford. However, these people do not have strong or valid arguments to support their theories.
Based on biographical evidence, Shakespeare, not Edward de Vere, most likely wrote
Shakespearean works. The arguments for other candidates like de Vere are not strong enough to
show that Shakespeare did not write Shakespearean works. The argument for Edward de Vere does
sound plausible at first. Many connections have been made to Oxford s life and Hamlet(Bethell)....

McCrea even mentions that the difference in French is very visible when comparing the studied,
high school French of Henry V to the assured expression of Oxford s 1563 letter . Oxford s
supposed motive does not help him, either. It is noted that Oxford did write under his name, and
he is the acknowledged author of sixteen poems and the probable author of four more (Edmondson
42 43). Not only that, but Oxford also has been praised for writing comedies. One of these people is
Francis Mere, who wrote:
...so the best for Comedy amongst vs bee, Edward Earle of Oxforde, Doctor Gager of Oxforde,

Shakespeare, Thomas Nash, Thomas Heywood, Anthony Mundye our best plotter, Chapman,
Porter, Wilson, Hathway, and Henry Chettle. (qtd. in Edmondson 43)
Notice how not only Oxford is praised, but Shakespeare is highly praised, too. There would be
no reason for Oxford to not get credit for highly praised works if he is not hiding the fact that he
writes in the first place. Despite the weakness of their argument, Oxfordians claim that
Shakespeare s background makes Shakespeare less likely to have written Shakespearean works.

trading stock in companies aimed for an acquisition or merger, and this type of enterprise is
legal as long as the trade was based on public information of looming acquisitions. This case

How Did The Federalist Papers Influence The Ratification...
Section A: Identification and Evaluation of Sources This investigation will explore the
question: To what extent did The Federalist Papers influence the ratification of the Constitution?
The publications, arguments, and effects of this document will be the focus of the investigation
to allow for an analysis of where and in what ways The Federalist was influential during the
constitutional conventions from 1787 to 1789. The first source that will be evaluated in depth
is Ron Chernow s book Alexander Hamilton which was published in 2005. The origin of this
source is valuable because Chernow is a historian and writer who graduated from Yale university,
Pembroke College, and Cambridge. He has won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography and the
American History Book Prize and has written many books about the founding fathers and early
republic, indicating his extensive knowledge on the subject. The purpose of Alexander Hamilton
is to tell the story of the first secretary of the treasury and his influence on the new nation from
his birth in 1755 to his death in 1804. This is valuable, because as the author of more than half of
The Federalist, extensive knowledge on Hamilton s political pursuits and views is helpful in
creating an informed conclusion. However, since the main focus of the novel is Hamilton, the role
of Madison and Jay may have been downsized or less researched. Also, the focus of the book was
not the Constitutional convention and impact of the federalist papers, so

Difference Between Hiring A Professional
Graphic Design
Many assume that the only difference between hiring a professional to handle graphic design and
doing the work on their own is the price. Nothing is further from the truth, as the average person
doesn t have the skills needed to create a professional image, one that truly reflects the business
and its values in a positive light. A professional design goes above and beyond attracting the
attention of the viewer. It provides a call to action, encouraging the viewer to purchase the product
or service, yet many don t recognize this. They assume a logo or another design is nothing more
than a symbol of the company, but it is much more, and our designers understand this.
With the help of professional graphic design, companies find it easier to share their message with
the customer. Individuals continue to be bombarded by advertising messages everywhere they
look, and a professional design helps to attract attention in a crowded field while also providing the
customer with information about the company. Although these may not seem of importance to the
average person, technical aspects such as bleeding and cropping do play a role in the customer s
perception of the brand. They don t realize this, but it is truly the case. Our team of graphic
designers is familiar with these and other techniques and use them where appropriate to convey the
desired message.
Most importantly, graphic design involves more than creating a logo. Layout and production design

Riverview Medical Center ( Rrmc )
OVERVIEW
In 2004, Riverview Medical Center (RRMC), originally called The Holy Name of Jesus
Hospital, was acquired and revamped by the Hospital Management Associates (HMA) and has
become a state of art facility with improved efficiencies to ensure high quality care. RRMC is a
281 licensed bed acute care facility accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations, certified for participation in the Medicare Program, and contracted
/participated in Blue Cross Plans (Richards Slovensky, 2004). The facility is one of the primary
employers in the area and provides job opportunities to approximately 700 individuals (Richards
Slovensky, 2004). RRMC encountered significant challenges against their competitors, Mountain
View, Gadsden Regional and HealthSouth. A major challenge was the fact that they were not the
sole or primary healthcare provider in the market service area. Secondly, many of RRMC s key
medical staff members and group practices were not in a central location within the vicinity of the
hospital. Thirdly, RRMC s emergency department was in great need of renovation and they lacked

Why Lunch Ladies are Heroes. He presented his purpose, to get society to thank people more
often, to an upper class audience. Krosoczka hopes that by thanking a person each and everyday

his thank you changed a lunch ladies life. Krosoczka does a fantastic job at persuading readers
by pulling at their heart strings, playfully speaking to the audience, and allowing people of all

truth. This pulls away from why it is important to give someone credit for their hard work, when
he is nagging on others for not doing so. Although a strength in his argument is that he did say
not many people thank lunch ladies, which is most likely true. He believes everyone should be

Analysis Of The Disney Competitive Strategy
A company that would like to expand and continue the health of the company needs to formulate
strategy. There should be goals that plans and actions of a company would attempt to reach. A
company may utilize competitive strategies that in which goals are made with competition in
mind and corporate strategy concerns goal directed plans and actions that target business choices
(Coulter, 2013). The Disney Difference and how it Affects the Company s Corporate, Competitive
and Functional Strategies The Disney Difference is the strategic plan that was implemented by
the Disney CEO in 2005, Bob Iger. Mr. Iger determined that there was too much Disney product
of inferior quality available to the public. He also noted that much of Disney s products were old
and outdated as well as targeting too narrow of a young audience. Mr. Iger began to create
formulate strategies that would attract a wide variety of consumers (Coulter, 2013). The Disney
brand is traditionally one that parents trust with their children. When determining what is a
functional strategy, not only is there the world market to explore, but there is the age market. The
goals of competitive strategy should be to develop a brand that multiple ages, genders and cultures
would enjoy. Disney competes with other companies, such as Nickelodeon and Universal Studies.
The reason for this these strategies is maximize consumption which really is profit and corporate
survivability (Meyers, McKnight Krabbenhoft,

Beowulf As A Epic Hero
A hero is defined in Merriam Webster as a ...legendary figure often of divine descent endowed
with great strength or ability...who shows great courage . In order for someone to be recognized
as a hero, they must demonstrate bravery and stand up for what is fair and just, even when they
face conflict. Most traditional heroes are chivalrous and selfless, but in some cases, the hero
desires power, fortune, and a high status, which makes him focus on his own advantages without
much concern for others. During the Anglo Saxon to Medieval period in Britain, heroes
changed from acting selfishly to nobly as exemplified by Beowulf and Arthur. Beowulf is a
legendary hero, whom people have told many stories about, but he is also extremely selfish.
When Beowulf is stopped and questioned by the watchman about his soldiers and past life, he
states that his father was a famous soldier, known far and wide as a leader...men all over earth
surely remember him still (Beowulf 27). By telling the watchman this, he brags about his
distinguished father and his superiority, proving that Beowulf himself should also be highly
regarded. This is one of the first moments in the story the reader notices Beowulf s boastful and
egoistical character. In addition, Beowulf does not seek to conceal his desire for praise. He boasts
of his exploits with a child s simplicity of enjoyment because he craves recognition of his
impressive feats (McNary). Author Sarah McNary conveys that heroes of this time only

Incidents In The Life Of A Slave Girl Analysis
Cracker( person would whip slaves) , Flogging( the beating of someone with a stick or whip for

Much Ado About Nothing, By William Shakespeare
Love is never an easy concept to understand, let alone when everyone around you seems to be
figuring it out and you feel out of the loop. In the play, Much Ado About Nothing, and the novel,
Pride and Prejudice, this shows to be the main plot line. These are quite dated. However, a modern
twist to this story line is also seen in the television series, Gossip Girl. It is the typical lovestory; the
prospective pairs can only fall in love with each other once they recognize their isolation and
fight their way towards their own happy ending. With different plots and twists, each love story
stands out in its own way and sets itself apart from the others. In the play, Much Ado About
Nothing, the prospective couple is Beatrice and Benedict. Their relationship begins as merciless
fighting and teasing between both characters, also known as the war of wits . Shakespeare made
sure to make this type of relationship prominent and important in the beginning of the play since
Beatrice s first words towards Benedick were, I wonder that you will still be talking, Signior

Weakness Of The Constitution By Louis Seidman
The Constitution The Constitution, that has been used to govern this country over the last 200
years has become ineffective and out dated. The constitution can no longer serve the purpose it was

country almost immune to change. Louis Michael Seidman, a Carmack Water House Professor of

Seidman points out some of the out dated and dysfunctional systems implemented by the
constitution, such as revenue measure must originate in the lower chamber and the fact that the
political system keeps people from debating the merits of divisive issues. Seidman also points out
the strong obedience people have to the constitution, which creates a strong resistance to change.

Ode to the Nightingale, John Keats The lyrical poem Ode to the Nightingale was written in 1819
by an English poet, John Keats. Beside Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley, he is classified as
one of the main leaders of the late Romanticism. „This movement emphasize the method in
which the author describes the contrast between reality and dreams, he creates exceptional
characters and use a lot of subjective emotions is his poems. (Е tД›panГk, 16) In comparison to his
contemporary authors Byron and Shelley, John Keats did not describe much of the social
conditions in his works. Probably he did not want „to be the savior of the world, did not want to
dream about the future of mankind and did not want to judge social injustice (Klein, 30) as much...

I appreciate the usage the small bird as a symbol which can provoke such deep thoughts about
our life. For me, the nightingale s song is the symbols of beauty which should be really enjoyed.
It is this small bird who is free to fly wherever it wants to, singing its beautiful song and making
the world better and nicer for us. I really like the whole idea of John Keats having a moment for
himself listening to this sweet song and thinking about it and its originator. Our life can
sometimes be a little bit stressful. People deals with stress in different kinds of way. One of
them can be savouring of those moments that feels really nice, in which we can be left alone to
our thoughts. I think that it is really important to always look on the brighter side of life. My life
is sacred to me. I feel that people are given lives for some reason and it should be their duty to try
to live in the best possible way. Those small moments, sometimes similar to the one John Keats
experienced in the garden of his friend Charles Brown while listening to the nightingale5, are also
important. These moments can compensate for the suffering which sometimes comes to our days.
Life is a precious thing and we should savour it like the smallest breath of air. We should not
waste our time and energy on bad things which will not matter in the end. One moment our life is
in our lungs and in a few seconds it fades away.

Public Drinking Water Fluorination Research
Fluoride is a mineral found in the earth s crust with proven benefit in protecting against dental
caries better known as cavities (Colgate Oral Care, 2016). Fluoride is available through oral health
care products and disseminated through the public water supply in every state across the country.
Even rural residents receiving their water from a well have trace concentrations of fluoride.
Individuals using private well water are urged to have their fluoride levels analyzed by a
laboratory; suggestions on reputable laboratories are provided through the U.S Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) website (CDC.gov, 2015).
According to the EPA, the recommended level of fluoride in drinking water to maintain good oral
health is 0.7 mg/L (CDC.gov, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Fluoride yields other unwanted byproducts such as aluminum and iron ore which causes ill
physiological effects when levels are above 4.0 mg/L (Peckham Awofeso, 2014). The negative
physiological effects of inappropriate fluoride ingestion, include skeletal fluorosis, dental fluorosis,
and calcium and magnesium imbalances (Peckham Awofeso, 2014). In addition, gastrointestinal
symptoms are seen when over 4 grams of a fluorine product is ingested (Health Magazine Online,
2016). Opponents do not truly oppose public water fluorination and commend its benefits, but insist
on the consistent analyzation and constant regulation of the practice by state and local

Most of the calls would be going to Las Vegas and deals were being made constantly. The fear of these organized crimes growing is a big concern for the Department of Justice. It is essentially money laundering. The Department of Justice are looking for larger scale organizations rather than a friend betting twenty dollars over the San Francisco Giants at a tailgate party. The Interstate Wire Act was passed in 1961 and it has been very powerful from then on. However, this has restricted Americans from having a good time with family and friends betting online as well as gambling online. This act created a new law created more consequences to those who participate in the illegal act of making gambles over the phone. As always, there will be some people who will run an online operation of this or perhaps who call to places that use a different name that is more discreet. However, this law has already made a huge impact on America s economy and hospitality industry. Next, The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) is another law passed by lawmakers to shut down completely of organized illegal activities that are monitored by a third party. The significance of this law is making it impossible for banks and financial institutions to process the checks or transfers. • 3. King Lear Vs A Thousand Acres Analysis King Lear vs A Thousand Acres While it may appear that Jane Smiley s A Thousand Acres is nothing but a modernized interpretation of Shakespeare s King Lear, one can see that below the surface these two tales are anything but alike. Through Smiley s characters Larry, Caroline, Ginny and Rose, it is easy to conclude that they contrast their parallels, Lear, Cordelia, Goneril and Rose, greatly from Shakespeare s play. Among the multiple themes that make this conclusion possible, the most prominent are the contrasting themes of relationships, outcomes, character development and motivations. At first, Shakespeare portrays King Lear as an arrogant man whose only concern is himself; Lear has no problem relishing in his title and power as ruler, but has trouble carrying out the responsibilities of a king and doing good for his people. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Caroline is portrayed as an intelligent, successful and well put together daughter, which is more than Cordelia was perceived as. While Caroline was in fact pushed away due to her not agreeing with her fathers ideas, instead of being seen as the good daughter, she is envied by her sisters. As for her relationship with her father Larry, she was more or less forced into caring for him. Due to her ignorance towards his molestation of Ginny and Rose, Caroline takes in her father and attempts to protect him from her sisters who she believes are trying to hurt him. While Rose tries to convince Caroline that Ginny and her are in fact trying to help, We did everything for you! We saved you from Daddy! (Smiley 244), Caroline disagrees saying, Did I really have to be saved from Daddy? From my own father? (Smiley 244). While Caroline is forced to care for her father because her sisters would not, Cordelia willingly forgave and went with her father. This difference in relationships only further aid the reader to conclude that Shakespeare and Smiley s work are not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This topic is paradigm shifts. A synonym for a paradigm would be a perception, and for most teenagers, the way you are perceived is a very important piece of the mental, and emotional aspect of life. Asking yourself what is most important to you, and what you spend the most time thinking about, can often reveal the paradigms of your life. Covey refers to paradigms as life centers, or things you center your life around. Some of these life centers include friends, stuff, school, parents, sports, and social media. I learned that heavily focusing on one of these life centers is not a healthy way to perceive your life, and that equally focusing on all of them is a much more effective way to use paradigms. Time management is another subject I feel Covey has really mastered. Covey puts all people into four quadrants: slackers, procrastinators, the yes man, and the prioritizers. Being honest with yourself and determining where you fall in these four categories is important. Once you have decided where you are at, you decide where you want to be, and how you are going to get there. Setting up a game plan is one of Covey s go to strategies for dealing with the problems of being a teenager. A plan, with the end in mind, is a major key in becoming the best person you can be. In the late 1990s, TM sued TC for deep linking, whereby TC allegedly listed TM events on its website and linked visitors to TM s website just before the point of purchase. TC countersued under Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act claiming TM s exclusive contracts unreasonably restrained trade and maintained their monopoly in the ticketing industry. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Typically, all companies proposed long term exclusive contracts across all four distribution methods. The length was generally 3 10 years with the average being 5 6 years. Thus, on average around 20% of venue contracts came up for bid each year3. According to TC, it competed with TM for every large venue contract that came up for bid since 19984. The relevant price a venue pays a ticketing company is the split of the C H fees. For example, suppose the average per ticket C H fee for Staples Center is $15. During the RFP process, Staples Center negotiates with each ticket company over the share of the C H fee Staples would keep and the share that would go to the ticket company. The amount of C H fees that goes to the ticket company is the relevant price paid by Staples Center for ticketing services. Thus, of a $15 C H fee, if Staples Center gets $7 and Ticketmaster gets $8, the relevant price paid by Staples for ticketing services is $8. If Staples chooses the Paciolan self supply option, it pays a licensing fee and then keeps the entire $15 C H fee for itself. Sometimes up front payments are made to a venue such as lump sum payments (e.g., $1 million upon contract signing), cash advances, or low interest loans that are paid back to the ticket company by future C H fees. Emotion Coaching and Children with Oppositional Defiant Disorder Children who consistently display behavioral problems in the home and within a social context (Dunsmore, Booker, Ollendick, 2013) characterize oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). According to Dunsmore, Booker, and Ollendick (2013), the widespread cases for ODD are 1 percent to 13 percent in children at the age of 6 17 years (p. 444). Children with ODD have frequent explosive episodes of opposition, disputation, and antagonist behaviors that upset intercommunications with like aged children, their own parents, and siblings (Dunsmore, et. al., 2013). Other evidence of ODD involves rage, quick agitation, and becoming nasty or revengeful (Dunsmore, Booker, Ollendick, Greene, 2016). Oppositional defiant disorder links these children with the incapability to express feelings, connect and manage intimate relationships, and work within a team environment (Dunsmore, et. al., 2013). Children displaying behavioral problems lack the parental emotional communication called emotion coaching than mothers of children without conduct problems (Dunsmore, et. al., 2013, p. 445). China s ethnocentrism and isolation from Western society led to internal disorder. The isochronous nature of the Chinese feudal system eventually led to the demise of the last dynasty, the Qing Dynasty, in 1911. This vulnerability provided Western influence allowing for imperialism throughout the country. Students and intellectuals with Westernized educations saw that the political and social turmoil was attributed to a long history of rejection of anything Western. On May 4, 1919, students led a revolt, called the May Fourth Movement, against Confucian culture promoting science, democracy, and anti imperialism. The May Fourth Movement was a period of total iconoclasm, of complete rejection of past tradition, and of absolute ratification of western ideals resulting in a literary revolution. By exploring Lu Xun s realist writing style and Yu Dafu s romantic writing style, the true function of literature during the May Fourth era is revealed. IS/LM curves are simply a short cut to finding the equilibrium values for income and interest rate. The student should see that the existing values of i and Y will have a tendency to change. The interest rate will fall because there is a shortage of bonds and as the price of bonds rises to drive the bond market to equilibrium, the interest rate will fall. The equilibrium interest rate, of course, will be found at the intersection of the Ms and Md schedules. Output will increase because a falling interest rate will trigger higher investment expenditures by firms. The increased I will increase AD and, therefore, Ye will increase. But then the higher income will shift money demand up, which will increase the equilibrium interest rate, and the same chain will be triggered leading to a decrease in the equilibrium level of output. The student undoubtedly knows that, eventually, after running through a series of converging loops, the system will settle into a mutually compatible, or general equilibrium, combination of i and Y. If you think the iteration process is a messy and cumbersome means of calculating the general equilibrium, or final, resting place of i and Y, you should applaud the use of the IS/LM graph. In one quick graph, we can immediately and easily see the system s general equilibrium solution. By using programing languages we will write code to control the machine and for the computation. The programing languages are preceded by the invention of computer. The first computer programing language was written in 1950 s. The first high level programing language Short Code was proposed by John Mauchly s in 1949 for an electronic computer. Generally the artificial language can been split into syntax (form) and semantics (meaning). During that period the computer hardware was very cheap and advanced which requires a good programing tool to develop a computer application software for the system. C was developed by Dennis Ritchie in 1972. C was the most popular programming languages at that period. As time goes on programmers found that it was difficult with structure syntax and they developed a new philosophy language called as OOP. The main concept in OOP was reuse of code. By including all the features and fundamentals of OOP, the new programing language was named as C++ which was developed by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1979. In OOP, problem is made into small units known as objects. Class is the basic unit of code which helps in creating the run time objects. OOP uses bottom up approach. Boesky s journey from a college dropout to a Wall Street executive is of a man obsessed with money and the lifestyle that it afforded. In the end, greed didn t prevail, and many lives, laws, enterprises were impacted, often for the better. Ivan Boesky was born 1937 in Detroit where his father owned several bars, restaurants and delicatessens (Meserve, 2012). During his child hood, Boesky and his family lived in a nice Tudor style house in an upper middle class neighborhood. Boesky s parents were immigrants from Russia. • 28. How Did The Federalist Papers Influence The Ratification... Section A: Identification and Evaluation of Sources This investigation will explore the question: To what extent did The Federalist Papers influence the ratification of the Constitution? The publications, arguments, and effects of this document will be the focus of the investigation to allow for an analysis of where and in what ways The Federalist was influential during the constitutional conventions from 1787 to 1789. The first source that will be evaluated in depth is Ron Chernow s book Alexander Hamilton which was published in 2005. The origin of this source is valuable because Chernow is a historian and writer who graduated from Yale university, Pembroke College, and Cambridge. He has won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography and the American History Book Prize and has written many books about the founding fathers and early republic, indicating his extensive knowledge on the subject. The purpose of Alexander Hamilton is to tell the story of the first secretary of the treasury and his influence on the new nation from his birth in 1755 to his death in 1804. This is valuable, because as the author of more than half of The Federalist, extensive knowledge on Hamilton s political pursuits and views is helpful in creating an informed conclusion. However, since the main focus of the novel is Hamilton, the role of Madison and Jay may have been downsized or less researched. Also, the focus of the book was not the Constitutional convention and impact of the federalist papers, so ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 30. Difference Between Hiring A Professional Graphic Design Many assume that the only difference between hiring a professional to handle graphic design and doing the work on their own is the price. Nothing is further from the truth, as the average person doesn t have the skills needed to create a professional image, one that truly reflects the business and its values in a positive light. A professional design goes above and beyond attracting the attention of the viewer. It provides a call to action, encouraging the viewer to purchase the product or service, yet many don t recognize this. They assume a logo or another design is nothing more than a symbol of the company, but it is much more, and our designers understand this. With the help of professional graphic design, companies find it easier to share their message with the customer. Individuals continue to be bombarded by advertising messages everywhere they look, and a professional design helps to attract attention in a crowded field while also providing the customer with information about the company. Although these may not seem of importance to the average person, technical aspects such as bleeding and cropping do play a role in the customer s perception of the brand. They don t realize this, but it is truly the case. Our team of graphic designers is familiar with these and other techniques and use them where appropriate to convey the desired message. Most importantly, graphic design involves more than creating a logo. Layout and production design along ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This pulls away from why it is important to give someone credit for their hard work, when he is nagging on others for not doing so. Although a strength in his argument is that he did say not many people thank lunch ladies, which is most likely true. He believes everyone should be thanked for their hard work, but lunch ladies rarely are. Krosoczka stated, the lunch lady has not been treated very kindly in popular culture over time (Krosoczka 1:44). The Disney Difference and how it Affects the Company s Corporate, Competitive and Functional Strategies The Disney Difference is the strategic plan that was implemented by the Disney CEO in 2005, Bob Iger. Mr. Iger determined that there was too much Disney product of inferior quality available to the public. He also noted that much of Disney s products were old and outdated as well as targeting too narrow of a young audience. Mr. Iger began to create formulate strategies that would attract a wide variety of consumers (Coulter, 2013). The Disney brand is traditionally one that parents trust with their children. When determining what is a functional strategy, not only is there the world market to explore, but there is the age market. • 38. Beowulf As A Epic Hero A hero is defined in Merriam Webster as a ...legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability...who shows great courage . In order for someone to be recognized as a hero, they must demonstrate bravery and stand up for what is fair and just, even when they face conflict. Most traditional heroes are chivalrous and selfless, but in some cases, the hero desires power, fortune, and a high status, which makes him focus on his own advantages without much concern for others. During the Anglo Saxon to Medieval period in Britain, heroes changed from acting selfishly to nobly as exemplified by Beowulf and Arthur. Beowulf is a legendary hero, whom people have told many stories about, but he is also extremely selfish. When Beowulf is stopped and questioned by the watchman about his soldiers and past life, he states that his father was a famous soldier, known far and wide as a leader...men all over earth surely remember him still (Beowulf 27). By telling the watchman this, he brags about his distinguished father and his superiority, proving that Beowulf himself should also be highly regarded. This is one of the first moments in the story the reader notices Beowulf s boastful and egoistical character. In addition, Beowulf does not seek to conceal his desire for praise. He boasts of his exploits with a child s simplicity of enjoyment because he craves recognition of his impressive feats (McNary). Author Sarah McNary conveys that heroes of this time only ... In the play, Much Ado About Nothing, and the novel, Pride and Prejudice, this shows to be the main plot line. These are quite dated. However, a modern twist to this story line is also seen in the television series, Gossip Girl. It is the typical lovestory; the prospective pairs can only fall in love with each other once they recognize their isolation and fight their way towards their own happy ending. With different plots and twists, each love story stands out in its own way and sets itself apart from the others. In the play, Much Ado About Nothing, the prospective couple is Beatrice and Benedict. Their relationship begins as merciless fighting and teasing between both characters, also known as the war of wits . Shakespeare made sure to make this type of relationship prominent and important in the beginning of the play since Beatrice s first words towards Benedick were, I wonder that you will still be talking, Signior Benedick.
