I.Policy
The purpose of this policy is to define and establish standards, procedures and
restrictions for the disposal of all non leased Information Technology (IT) equipment
in a legal and cost effective manner.
II.Scope and Limitation
This Policy applies to all Topaz workforce members.
III.Definitions
A.Non leased refers to any and all IT assets that are the sole property of Topaz; that
is, equipment that is not rented, leased or borrowed from a third party supplier or
partner company.
B.Disposal refers to the reselling, reassignment, recycling, donating or throwing out
of IT equipment through responsible, ethical and environmentally sound means.
C.Obsolete refers to any and all equipment over 5 years old and /or that which no ...
The IT Department is also responsible for backing up and then wiping clean company
data on all IT assets slated for disposal as well as the removal of company tags and/or
identifying labels.
C.The IT Department is in charge of selecting and approving external agents for
recycling hardware and/or sanitizing hardware of harmful toxins before shipment to
landfills. The IT Department is also responsible for acquiring credible documentation
from third parties that are contracted to conduct the data wiping, tag or label removal
or any other part of the disposal process.
D.Acceptable methods for the disposal of IT assets are as follows:
1.Sold to existing staff
2.Sold as scrap to a licensed dealer
3.Used as a trade in against cost of replacement item
4.Reassigned to a less critical business operation function
5.Donated to schools, charities, and other non profit organizations
6.Recycled and/or refurbished to leverage further use (within limits of reasonable
repair)
7.Discarded as rubbish in a landfill after sanitized of toxic materials by approved
service provider
E.It is the responsibility of the IT Supervisor to ensure that IT assets, equipment,
and hardware are disposed of according to one or more of the methods above. It is
imperative that any disposals performed by Topaz are done appropriately,
responsibly and ethically, as well as, with company resource planning in mind. The

from one side of the bank to the other. Starting at 0cm, we put a metre ruler into the
water, ensuring that it touched the ground, and first measured to where the water
stopped at the ruler to find the water depth. Then, we measured from the bottom to
where the tape was stretched out to find the depth of the channel. We repeated this
every 20cm until we got to the other side. This method was done for sites 1 and 2
on 27th June 2016, at about 10:30 am for site 1 (Busketts Lawn) and about 2:30
pm for site 2 (Woodlands). It took us about 20 minutes overall for each site. This
method is necessary because it will let me draw up a cross section graph which
allows me to find the occupied channel width (a key question), wetted perimeter
and hydraulic radius of the river so I can see how this changes as I go downstream.
The higher the hydraulic radius the lower the amount of water contacting the bed
and banks so the river should be more efficient because it has less friction and water

as a fashion designer. Betsey Johnson is a fashion designer, well known for her

catching accessories that make you want to buy her garments. Her childhood interest
of dance and costume laid the foundation for her creativity. Betsey attended Pratt
Institute and later graduated from Syracuse University. She did not in fact go to
school for fashion design, but her creative juices pulled her toward fashion. Upon
finishing school Betsey landed an internship with Mademoiselle publication. She won

Paraphernalia, made known a boutique called Betsey Bunky Nini, and other

Zoot Suit was written by Luiz Valdez and published in 1978. The story is based on
the Sleepy Lagoon murder trials of the 1940s and follows protagonist Henry
Reyna. This play deals with the intercultural conflicts between Henry s generation
and his parent s, as well as those between Mexican Americans and white
Americans. Mexican and American culture is effortlessly blended to show the
transcultural influences on Henry and his group of friends. In this historical
analysis, I will not only be looking at what historical events influenced this play
and the author, but how this play uses those historical influences to showcase the
battle of cultural expression in 1940s Los Angeles. Los Angeles was undergoing
severe demographic changes in the early 1940 s. Mexican refugees were escaping
the Mexican Revolution, farmers were fleeing the Dust bowl, and American
servicemen rushed to Los Angeles because of World War II ( People Events ). The
economy was booming from the war as American production increased and the youth
was appreciating jazz culture and began wearing zoot suits, just like in the play.
Because of the Sleepy Lagoon murders, the zoot suitwas associated with Mexican
violence. Eventually, fights escalated between the rebelling Mexican American youth
