from one side of the bank to the other. Starting at 0cm, we put a metre ruler into the
water, ensuring that it touched the ground, and first measured to where the water
stopped at the ruler to find the water depth. Then, we measured from the bottom to
where the tape was stretched out to find the depth of the channel. We repeated this
every 20cm until we got to the other side. This method was done for sites 1 and 2
on 27th June 2016, at about 10:30 am for site 1 (Busketts Lawn) and about 2:30
pm for site 2 (Woodlands). It took us about 20 minutes overall for each site. This
method is necessary because it will let me draw up a cross section graph which
allows me to find the occupied channel width (a key question), wetted perimeter
and hydraulic radius of the river so I can see how this changes as I go downstream.
The higher the hydraulic radius the lower the amount of water contacting the bed
and banks so the river should be more efficient because it has less friction and water
can move at a higher velocity. Therefore, I can see how the efficiency of the river

There were times when women were restricted to wear certain garments like a skirt
that does not go past the knee, pants, and anything men considered sexy. Through
trials and tribulations women have defied all odds with fashion. When I think of
fashion I think of self expression, thanks to the women before me. One woman who
fully inspired my fashionsense, is Betsey Johnson. With her fun, unique, and colorful
fashion lines, she helped me to find my style. She is also a huge inspiration to me,
as a fashion designer. Betsey Johnson is a fashion designer, well known for her
eccentric but ladylike designs; Puffy skirts to make you feel like a beautiful
ballerina, embellishments to make you sparkle and shine when your seen, and eye
catching accessories that make you want to buy her garments. Her childhood interest
of dance and costume laid the foundation for her creativity. Betsey attended Pratt
Institute and later graduated from Syracuse University. She did not in fact go to
school for fashion design, but her creative juices pulled her toward fashion. Upon
finishing school Betsey landed an internship with Mademoiselle publication. She won
a contest at the magazine, thus triggering her career; Fulltime fashion designer for
Paraphernalia, made known a boutique called Betsey Bunky Nini, and other
successful ventures she did. Although she has quite the success story, she has had a

54. Historical Analysis Of The Zoot Suit, By Luiz Valdez
Zoot Suit was written by Luiz Valdez and published in 1978. The story is based on
the Sleepy Lagoon murder trials of the 1940s and follows protagonist Henry
Reyna. This play deals with the intercultural conflicts between Henry s generation
and his parent s, as well as those between Mexican Americans and white
Americans. Mexican and American culture is effortlessly blended to show the
transcultural influences on Henry and his group of friends. In this historical
analysis, I will not only be looking at what historical events influenced this play
and the author, but how this play uses those historical influences to showcase the
battle of cultural expression in 1940s Los Angeles. Los Angeles was undergoing
severe demographic changes in the early 1940 s. Mexican refugees were escaping
the Mexican Revolution, farmers were fleeing the Dust bowl, and American
servicemen rushed to Los Angeles because of World War II ( People Events ). The
economy was booming from the war as American production increased and the youth

I came to Kaplan with one objective, to finish my long waited IT Bachelor s degree
and advance further in my career. At first, my goal was to go for the Cybersecurity
program, but due to cost and time, I decided to just finish my IT degree then
specialized in Security afterwards by taking certification classes after I finish my
degree. There are many opportunities after I get my degree, the door will be right
open to explore other things and specialized in a field I desire to enter. I do have
some weakness I needto work on it, such as scripting, server, and a more depth in

It sounds shallow, but it is what it is and what I m able to do right now. At work,
things are different, I do work well as part of a team, but in school, and especially
online, it is difficult to accomplish that. When I struggle with a subject, I do reach
out to the professor, do my own search online, get help from someone I believe
might know the answer, and try resolving myself. I have never paid for a tutor or
used the tutoring help, haven t needed yet, but if needed, I don t have a problem
doing at all. As I mentioned earlier, my plan, my goal after I finish my degree with
Kaplan is to purse more knowledge, certifications, and a career in Cybersecurity. It is
my passion and definitely what I want to do. It is a sort of game that fascinates me. If
you are passion about something and want to have a career you really love, then
you need to go for it, and my goal, my plan is to go for it. I do plan to take the
CCNA certification, Security + Certification then the CCNA Security Certification as
