1) The document analyzes Co3O4@x%rGO (where x=0%, 5%, 10%, 15%) composites as electrode materials for supercapacitors.
2) Characterization of the materials showed Co3O4@15%rGO had the best performance with higher specific capacitance and energy/power densities.
3) Testing included XRD, CV, GCD, EIS and found Co3O4@15%rGO to have highly crystalline cubic structures, pseudocapacitive behavior, and longer discharge times than other compositions.

LGS crystal which melts congruently at 1470⁰C has been grown by Czochralski method. The langasite
crystal of length about 1cm grown along its Z-axis was cut in X and Y directions , polished and
subjected to various characterization studies. Phase and structure of the grown crystal was confirmed by
Powder XRD measurement. FTIR spectrum was carried out to confirm the functional groups present in
the grown crystals. The optical behavior was studied by UV–vis-NIR analysis. Electrical properties such as Dielectric constant, Resistivity, Conductivity and Piezoelectric coefficient have also been studied.

Experimental Characterization of Carbon Fibre T700 / Epoxy towpreg for Space ...IJERA Editor
This document covers detailed experimental characterization of Carbon Fibre T 700/Epoxy towpreg. The
experimental characterization of carbon fibre T 700/Epoxy towpreg composite material is necessary required for
generation of mechanical properties data for analysis, design, and fabrication of structural components using
that material and for quality control of the material. The testing of composite materials offers unique surprises
because of the special characteristics of composites. Factors not considered important in metals testing are very
important in testing composites. For example, composites are anisotropic, with properties that depend on the
direction in which they are tested. Speed must be carefully monitored at the time of testing of specimens and
also fiber content, void content, specimen conditioning (drying, storage, etc) have important effects on material
properties.
In order to design composite products, a thorough experimental characterization of carbon fibre T 700 / Epoxy
towpreg composite material and its behaviour is necessary.

This webinar will briefly review the theory behind isotopic effects, it will explain the units used to characterize the ratio of isotopes, and it will discuss the simple mathematics that can relate the shift in the ratio to the extent of degradation. Then the webinar will illustrate an approach to estimate rate constants for natural biodegradation of contaminants in ground water. The isotope analysis will be used to estimate the extent of natural biodegradation of MTBE at a gasoline spill site. The extent of biodegradation will be combined with the hydrological parameters at the site to estimate rate constants for biodegradation.
The webinar will conclude with a number of cautions and warnings. Heterogeneity in flow paths in the aquifer and proximity to NAPL or other source of contamination to ground water can substantially confuse the interpretation of stable isotope data. Both these conditions cause the isotope analysis to underestimate the extent of degradation. Heterogeneity in the rate of biodegradation can produce substantial errors in the forecasts of plume behavior. The webinar will provide recommendations to deal with the effects of heterogeneity in rates of biodegradation.
U.S. EPA has released A Guide for Assessing Biodegradation and Source Identification of Organic Ground Water Contaminants using Compound Specific Isotope Analysis (CSIA) [EPA 600/R-08/148 | December 2008 | www.epa.gov/ada]. The Guide provides recommendations for sample collection, sample preservation, and sample analysis; recommendations on QA/QC issues; details on calculations; and a catalogue of expected initial values for the ratios of 13C to 12C in organic compounds such as TCE and PCE. The Guide also illustrates in detail the process to use isotope ratio data to estimate rate constants for degradation of organic compounds in ground water.

The Determination of Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) Using EPA Method 8082PerkinElmer, Inc.
Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) are considered persistent organic pollutants under the Stockholm Convention of Persistent Organic Pollutants and have not been manufactured in the U.S. since they were banned in 1979. They are relatively chemically inert and do not decompose readily, being resistant to oxidation, and are only very slightly soluble in water. Prior to being banned, PCBs were widely used in closed systems such as electrical transformers, capacitors and as heat transfer fluids. They were also used in adhesives, paint, plasticizers and machining oils. Production in the U.S. was wholly from the Monsanto company, who manufactured PCBs under the name Aroclor from 1930 to 1977, using a naming scheme that generally followed a four number convention with the first two digits the number of carbons and the last two digits the percentage of chlorine by mass. Aroclor 1260 (12 carbons and 60% chlorine by mass) was used in electrical equipment up until 1950, when it was replaced by Aroclor 1242 through the next 20 years, until Aroclor 1016 (12 carbons and 42% chlorine) was produced.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
