A survey of cloud users found the following: - Nearly half of respondents were from companies with 1-100 employees. Most respondents were in IT/Ops or development roles. - Over 40% of companies reported no downtime from cloud reboots, while 23% reported less than 5 minutes of downtime. - Cloud users felt less prepared for reboots than Xen users, and cloud reboots resulted in more extra work than Xen reboots. - To avoid future issues, most companies planned to implement redundant architectures across availability zones and leverage more automation.
