The document discusses five journeys organizations can take to evolve their infrastructure to the cloud using Oracle Engineered Systems: 1) Streamline the enterprise on-premises infrastructure to dramatically improve costs and performance, 2) Extend an existing private cloud to optimize it for enterprise applications, 3) Deploy a hybrid cloud for development and testing, 4) Bring the public cloud model on-premises, and 5) Lift and shift workloads to Oracle's public cloud. It provides examples of customers who achieved savings and benefits by taking these journeys.
The document discusses Oracle's approach to enterprise cloud strategy. It notes that most public and private cloud offerings are incompatible and incomplete for enterprise needs. Oracle proposes an integrated cloud solution providing enterprise SaaS, PaaS and IaaS that can span both private and public clouds. This would allow enterprises to run applications and workloads across their on-premises infrastructure and Oracle's public cloud platform. Oracle argues this integrated approach is needed to bring true cloud agility to enterprise applications and IT.

Oracle provides private, public and hybrid cloud solutions with the most complete set of cloud products and services in the industry. The document also discusses Oracle's approach to application consolidation and migration to the cloud.
The document discusses options for moving Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) workloads to Oracle Cloud. It addresses customer concerns about ongoing support for EBS and outlines business drivers for cloud adoption like reducing costs and improving insights. The document presents three paths to the cloud: 1) re-platforming EBS on Oracle Cloud Platform by lifting and shifting workloads, 2) extending on-premises EBS with additive SaaS applications, and 3) shifting specific EBS environments like development, testing, reporting or disaster recovery to the cloud. Oracle Cloud is positioned as providing benefits like centralized management, rapid provisioning and integration with Oracle infrastructure services.

This document discusses Microsoft Azure Stack and its benefits for hybrid cloud solutions. It describes how Azure Stack allows customers to run Azure services locally while providing a consistent development experience whether applications run on-premises or in the public cloud. It also summarizes capabilities of Azure Stack like Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) as well as its roadmap for additional services and features. Profiles of several companies utilizing Azure Stack for hybrid cloud solutions are also provided.

When you think about Oracle cloud platform, it really is the ultimate expression of that mission.
It’s an integrated platform that provides unprecedented ability to take meaningful steps toward business transformation.
It spans every layer of cloud.
Data as a service
Software as a service
Platform as a service
And infrastructure as a service

Create cross-channel understanding
This is the capability to use our IaaS layer. As you know we have a complete layer of compute, storage and networking. We are always enhancing this. Thomas beyond a few minutes and talk about all the great new features we are adding to Oracle IaaS. And as you have heard from Larry the other night, compared to others, we offer you higher performance at a lower cost. It’s more agile than you trying to go to your data center and buy your own servers, set them up yourself and start to do work.
Shift VMware-based workloads without change
Migrate and deploy workloads; pre-built, auto-migration tools
Bring your app dev platforms and containers to IaaS
Build highly scalable, new cloud-native workloads

Many of these journeys start with on-prem systems.
My first step might be consolidating with engineered systems.
Then I add cloud services for back up and archive.
Or if I want to move to public cloud but I’m unable to for some reason, I could use Oracle’s Cloud@Customer to get the benefits of cloud but deployed behind my firewall.
These are just examples of some of the journeys and paths that we can enable for our customers.
So how do we support our customers in this journey
At Oracle, we see many different paths to cloud, not just one path for everyone
Our mission is to help customers support their own paths
We do so by offering a platform that is Complete, open, secure, provides choice and access to innovation for all.
We add Intelligence at every layer to support new business and engagement models
We understand that for most customers, new cloud services need to co-exist within current environments and investments
New applications need to interoperate with on-premises applications
New forms of doing business need to co-mingle with existing business processes
And we believe that everything Oracle has built to this point has brought us to this unique position where our customers can apply our expertise—in the cloud and on premises—to support their transitions to cloud.
Thank you.
Drop the mic.
So the way we would like to talk about this formally is that Oracle offers you six distinct journeys to the cloud. Now when I talk about these journeys, it doesn’t mean that you can choose just one. In fact we have companies using multiple journeys at the same time. Maybe they are doing them by division, they are doing them by application, whatever suits you needs is but there are six different ways to do it. So if you look around it briefly, our first journey talks about optimizing which you have in your data center today. How do you make it run, as effectively and efficiently as you can and again free up some other resources to work up on innovation. Our second journey to the cloud and capacity and ability of us to bring our public cloud to you. So, you will get a full public cloud experience but again its behind your firewall. Our third journey starts talking about moving and giving you the ability to improve your workloads by moving it on to our IaaS layer in the cloud. Our fourth journey gives you the opportunity to write net new workloads using the Oracle PaaS layer. Our fifth journey talks about using Oracle SaaS to transform your business. And our sixth journey really just talks about being born in the cloud entirely, never having to use the data center again.
So lets take a quick look at some of these journeys. Our first journey as we’ve been talking about is about optimizing your data centers.
Oracle Cloud Platform:
Most Comprehensive Offering, with best of breed solutions for Data Management, AppDev, Enterprise Integration, etc.
Based on Open Standards (HTML5, REST, Kubernetes, oAuth, etc.) and giving you a choice of technology stacks
Providing Seamless Integration among PaaS offerings and across the entire Oracle Cloud Stack (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
True Hybrid Cloud – providing you the flexibility of deploying in Oracle’s Public Cloud or in your own data center with Oracle Cloud @ Customer
And leveraging the superior Scalability, Availability and Performance of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure
