Moving your applications from traditional IT stacks to the cloud is not an easy task. Migration to the cloud can cause security nightmares, performance degradation, and sudden cost spikes, to name just a few possible problems. For a successful cloud migration, you need to evolve both technology and business processes.
Nonetheless, moving from legacy infrastructure to public, private, or hybrid cloud can bring massive benefits, including increased flexibility, the ability to scale up or down as needed, and dramatic cost savings. When done well, transforming your business to adopt cloud services can be both painless and profitable.
Please join us for this webinar by James Bond, CTO at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and an expert in cloud computing. He will cover best practices for making your cloud migration successful, including:
* Why your organization should consider a cloud migration
* How to properly plan for cloud deployment
* What approach you should take to ensure security
* How orchestration tools can help achieve efficiency
* How to build cloud native applications to best take advantage of the cloud
Speaker: James Bond, facebook.com/enterprisecloud
James Bond is an expert in cloud computing with over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He is a true cloud industry pioneer, having created several successful companies, founded business practices, and hosted infrastructure and software services long before the term "cloud computing" was first used. James is a Chief Technologist for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) providing cloud strategy, guidance, and implementation planning to Fortune 100 organizations that are planning a transition from legacy IT to cloud. He is a featured speaker at industry conferences and executive briefings throughout North America.

As existing workloads evolve and deployments grow in size and complexity, managing them is a key challenge. Learn how Red Hat Insights proactively identifies configuration and security risks before business operations are affected. In this session, we will also learn how developers and operators are embracing Linux containers and Kubernetes with OpenShift. OpenShift is well positioned to manage the complexity of Machine Learning and democratize access to these techniques. OpenShift will even allow you to deploy AWS services from within Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform both on-premises and in the cloud.
From Multi-Cloud and MicroServices to12-Factor Apps, Cloud-Native Applications are designed to be fast, tested and fail safe with continuous deployment to production. Simple policy declaration and enforcement across your stack allow you to move at greater speed, safety, and scale.
There are options beyond a straight forward lift and shift into Infrastructure as a Service. This session is about learning about how Azure helps modernize applications faster utilising modern technologies like PaaS, containers and serverless
How to build "AutoScale and AutoHeal" systems using DevOps practices by using modern technologies.

The adoption of tools for the provisioning and automatic configuration of "Infrastructure as Code" (eg Terraform, Cloudformation or Ansible) reduces cost, time, errors, violations and risks when provisioning and configuring the necessary infrastructure so that our software can run .
However, those who have begun to make intensive use of this technology at the business level agree to identify the emergence of a very critical problem regarding the orchestration and governance needs of supply requests such as security, compliance, scalability, integrity and more.
Learn how The Digital.ai DevOps Platform (formerly XebiaLabs DevOps Platform) responds to all these problems and many more, allowing you to continue working with your favorite tools.

The Fastest Way to Redis on Pivotal Cloud FoundryVMware Tanzu
Ā
What do developers choose when they need a fast performing datastore with a flexible data model? Hands-down, they choose Redis.
But, waiting for a Redis instance to be set up is not a favorite activity for many developers. This is why on-demand services for Redis have become popular. Developers can start building their applications with Redis right away. There is no fiddling around with installing, configuring, and operating the service.
Redis for Pivotal Cloud Foundry offers dedicated and pre-provisioned service plans for Cloud Foundry developers that work in any cloud. These plans are tailored for typical patterns such as application caching and providing an in-memory datastore. These cover the most common requirements for developers creating net new applications or who are replatforming existing Redis applications.
We'd like to invite you to a webinar discussing different ways to use Redis in cloud-native applications. We'll cover:
- Use cases and requirements for developers
- Alternative ways to access and manage Redis in the cloud
- Features and roadmap of Redis for Pivotal Cloud Foundry
- Quick demo

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
Ā
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more āmechanicalā approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Ā
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as āpredictable inferenceā.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Ā
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
