Click and Go
Description of Business Idea
Click and Go’s product is a button for lifeguard chairs that is connected to a lightbulb device in the guard room.
There are two buttons – one means the lifeguard got off the chair for a rescue, and the other means the lifeguard
got off for a rescue and requires EMS being called. If you click one button, the light in the guard room will flash. If
you click the other button, the light stays on. Each button has an ID, and when clicked, a display on the emergency
light indicates the signaling chair needing help.
Problem
As a head lifeguard, it is sometimes hard to hear when a guard blows their whistle requesting assistance. It is also
hard to determine which pool the whistle came from when there are multiple pools. With this product, the chances
of us missing a whistle and running around trying to figure out which guard needs assistance will decrease and we
will be able to help rescue someone as soon as possible.
Solution
My product will let the lifeguards in the chairs be able to whistle and just push a button and not worry about
people missing the request for help and not getting the assistance they require. It could be a rescue, or something
small. Either way, this will help the head guard and the guards on break be able to know exactly what location the
button was pushed from and help save a life.
Market
My product is for public pools where there will be a lot of people swimming and with a high chance of someone
drowning. The target consumer is any recreational center with a pool or just a pool in general where a lifeguard is
needed. My product will be able to tell other guards in what pool, and what chair the light is on for and help them
know exactly where to go. .
