Denise Jane Chiu organized a project to teach proper waste segregation in her community. Her goal was to segregate garbage properly and teach people, especially children, how to do so. She invited fellow members of her GCE organization to help plan how to segregate waste and teach others. They searched for improperly segregated garbage and cleaned an area, separating waste into the proper bins. After their project, they had successfully taught over 30 people how to properly segregate garbage.

The goal was to clean the seashore and prevent further trash from being thrown into the sea like plastic, cans, paper and bottles. On the day of the event, Flordeliza and her friends spent the afternoon cleaning the surrounding seashore area. They were happy with the results of their cleanup efforts to maintain the cleanliness of the local sea and seashore.

- 2. Need for the Project In my community, there are many garbage. I saw in the streets. Garbage that is not properly segregated.
- 4. Goal My goal for my little project, is to segregate the garbage properly. To teach people and children how to segregate their own garbage properly.
- 5. Project Activity To complete my goal, I invited my GCE fellow members to join me in my small project.And making a plan on how to segregate and how to teach our fellow citizen to segregate waste.

Step by Step Planning • I invited my classmate and GCE fellow members to help me out with my little project. • We went to our school and public places to search for garbage that is not properly segregated. • Last November 9,2012 at exactly 9:00 in the morning, we directly went to the place that we have planned. • After the segregation, the place that we clean is fully segregated. All the of the garbage are in their own trash can.
- 7. Result After my small project , we successfully teach my fellow citizen on how to segregate garbage with my 10 fellow member and 20 additional people who help on our project. We are very successful in our very own small project.
