- 2. The finer things in life come easy for the wealthy,
- 3. the average and poor people are trying to stay financially healthy.
- 4. Day to day money issues are always on people’s minds,
- 5. As they struggle to make ends meet, it’s very hard some times.
- 6. The average American citizen lives from payday to payday,
- 7. Silverspoon guys and gals just go on their merry way.
- 8. Reality stars like Snooki and the Situation,
- 9. Are now a part of the celebrity attention.
- 10. With the large amounts of money they now have to spend,
- 11. They won’t have to ask for that one time lend.
- 12. So as they’re paid to party day to night,
- 13. A lower class mother works nonstop with all her might.
- 14. While applying to colleges by a child of the higher class,
- 15. They have little worry because they’ll get by with that “free pass”.
- 16. However a little girl on the other hand, doesn’t think about much while playing in the sand.
- 17. She doesn’t know that while she plays care free, her father tells her mother they must flee.
- 18. For little Jenny has no idea of her parents socio-economic state, she will grow up poor not knowing her educational fate.
- 19. In the past high school has been known as the “best” years,
- 20. but when you don’t have the popular brands, you result with tears.
- 21. If you’re not sporting the new Ugg boots or a backpack from The North Face,
- 22. you’ll be moving up the social ladder at a very slow pace.
- 23. Now I hate being the bearer of bad news, but I think it’s time we all took a walk in someone else's shoes.
- 24. Because the America I love and call my home, is a place where different classes do in fact roam.
- 25. We can all work together to stop the discrimination and oppression,
- 26. before this country experiences another sad life of depression.
- 27. So if you’re one that lives a cushy lifestyle, where you can sit back with your coffee, relax, and watch your kids play in a pig pile,
- 28. remember there is a family out there, living with such horrible despair.
- 29. And although you may have worked hard to get where you are today,
- 30. that family will struggle every step of the way.
