The Mind

           www.pathofbliss.com
The Thought Process
 Close your eyes and try to think of
   nothing
  It is not easy
 The mind exists because it thinks
 Our meditation is not to think of nothing.

                  www.pathofbliss.com
The Thought Process
 Close your eyes and try not to think of a
   red car
 The mention of the “red car” makes the
   mind think of it.
 A negative suggestion is not our way of
   meditating.

                  www.pathofbliss.com
You are what you think.

             www.pathofbliss.com
The Human Potential
 Human beings are utilizing only a
   fraction of the mental potential
  Modern civilization has emphasized
   external life, technology and mastery
   over nature

                 www.pathofbliss.com
The Human Potential
 But today we see a lot of interest on
  psychic powers, spiritual disciplines,
  mind expanding drugs, hypnosis,
  meditation, dreams and creativity

                  www.pathofbliss.com
The Human Being
  Body, Mind and “Spirit”
 The most external layer is the physical
   body.
 From body to “spirit” there exists the
   mind.

                  www.pathofbliss.com
The Layers of the Mind
 In Yoga the mind has been divided in 5
layers from the densest to the subtlest.
 The higher layers contain vast
   reservoirs of energy and knowledge.

                  www.pathofbliss.com
The Layers of the Mind
 In each succeeding layer there is a
   more joyful and expanded awareness.
 The higher layers exert a subtle
   influence over the lower ones.

                 www.pathofbliss.com
Infinite Consciousness
 Beyond all the five layers of one ’s
individual mind is the realm of Infinite
   Cosmic Consciousness
 It is a state of perfect peace, the pure
   Self within.
 When one attains this state, even for a
   moment, one’s entire existence is
   flooded with inexpressible joy.

                  www.pathofbliss.com
