Majulah Singapura
Origin
“Majulah Singapura" was composed in 1958 by the late Encik Zubir Said.
Then Mayor of the City Council of Singapore, Mr Ong Eng Guan,
approached Encik Zubir Said to write an official song for the City
Council to commemorate the newly renovated Victoria Theatre. It was
first played by the Singapore Chamber Ensemble.
Meaning
The meaning of the national anthem is to unite together, in this
case as different voices sing the same anthem, for each and one
of us to progress in harmony though the song for the better
benefit of ourselves and our nation
Translation: Come, fellow Singaporeans, Let us progress, towards
happiness together, May our noble aspiration bring
Singapore success, Come, let us unite
In a new spirit, Let our voices soar as one
Onward Singapore, Onward Singapore
6. National Coat of Arms
Origin
Like the National Flag, the State Crest was conceived by a
committee led by then Deputy Prime Minister Dr Toh Chin Chye. The

Singapore's motto, 'Majulah Singapura' (meaning 'Onward
Singapore' in Malay)

7. Scout FLAG Ceremonies
The Flagstaff is an important part of
scout, for important events or important
dates, It is use to signify the start during
flag break and end during flag
down. They teach Scouts the values of
tradition, respect, hard work, and unity,
and they reinforce the principles of the
Scout Promise and Law. Through
ceremonies, Scouts develop a sense of
community and belonging that stays
with them long after they leave
Scouting. The images on the right shows
the flags, including girl guides and how
the ceremony flows.
