The world we live in is centered on consumption. It is built on
the belief that we must continue to purchase goods in order
to remain content. However our economy is based on a linear
model that hurts the environment. In order to solve this
problem, a circular model has been constructed.

through the practice of the circular economy. In particular, it is connected
to SDG 6 (clean water and sanitisation), SDG 15 (life on land), SDG 11
(sustainable cities and communities) and especially SDG 12 (responsible
consumption and production) . Aspects of the circular economy, such as
recycling of household waste, e-waste and waste water, provide a ‘toolbox’
to comply with the SDGs

● High-quality recycling of demolition waste, so that fewer primary raw
materials are needed;
● Administering materials, so that the value of raw materials is
preserved;
● Demountable construction, so that parts of a building can be reused;
● Modular construction, so that buildings can be adapted to new
functions;
● Designing for collective use, so that residents can share buildings and
belongings.

● Avoiding unnecessary use by handling plastic products and packaging
as sparingly as possible;
● Designs for reuse, such as a mug that can be used instead of a quantity
of disposable cups;
● Designs for high-quality recycling of products or packaging, such as
plastic trays made from mono materials.
● Targeted collection, sorting and recycling of plastic, so that it can be
reused at a high quality level;
● Earning models for optimal use, such as renting products instead of
selling them.

THE AMOUNT OF RESOURCES WE NEED TO KEEP ADDING TO
THE CYCLE.
