The problems of scale, speed, persistence and context are the most important design problem we'll have to deal with during the next decade. Scale because we're creating and recording more data than at any time in human history – much of it of dubious value, but none of it obviously value-less. Speed because data flows now. Ceaselessly. In high volume. It has to be persisted in multiple latencies, from milliseconds to decades. And context because the context of creation is different from the context of transmission is different from the context of use.
There are a lot of red herrings, false premises and just-plain-dementia that get in the way of us seeing the problem clearly. We must work through what we mean by "structured" and "unstructured", what we mean by “big data” and why we need new technologies to solve some of our data problems. But “new technologies” doesn’t mean reinventing old technologies while ignoring the lessons of the past. There are reasons relational databases survived while hierarchical, document and object databases were market failures, technologies that may be poised to fail again, 20 years later.
What we believe about data’s structure, schema, and semantics are as important as the NoSQL and relational databases we use. The technologies impose constraints on the real problem: how we make sense of data in order to tell a computer what to do, or to inform human decisions. Most discussions of data and code lose the unconscious tradeoffs that are made when selecting these technology handcuffs.

Transfer of Training and Knowledge Sharing Are Important for Nonprofits
Nonprofit organizations such as the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and government agencies such as the Peace Corps routinely send workers to some of the most dangerous, underdeveloped nations in the world. They rely upon temporary and short-term field workers and volunteers and have small training budgets compared to those of private, for-profit companies. Despite the difficulties they face, nonprofits still manage to train their workers successfully so they can be effective in their mission. It is especially important that what is emphasized in training is used on the job (transfer of training) and that the valuable knowledge that volunteers have gained about a location, its people, and the assistance needed is not lost when they leave the organization (i.e., knowledge sharing occurs).
For example, consider the online course used by Darkness to Light (D2L), an international child abuse prevention, education, and public awareness organization. "Stewards of Children Online" is designed to teach adults how to prevent and recognize signs of sexual abuse in children. The training was developed around "universal truths" to ensure that the basic principles emphasized in the course would be relevant for everyone, regardless of their culture, socioeconomic background, or location. For
185
example, one of the "universal truths" is that it is healthy and good for parents to talk to their children about their personal boundaries.
UNICEF, which provides humanitarian and development assistance to children and mothers in developing countries, uses a blended learning approach. The majority of e-learning programs offered by UNICEF include both CD-ROM and Internet formats, which allows trainees without dependable access to the Internet to train using personal computers available at their location. Course content is broken into modules so individual regions can easily customize content to local culture and situations.
At the Peace Corps, more than 90 percent of training is conducted by local staff in the field. The Peace Corps trains volunteers in the actual perfor.

Module 4 - Homework Assignment
PART I
1. In an essay, describe a crime scene including material information evidence and physical evidence that can be used to develop a case without an expert's examination. Explain how to collect terrorism evidence, pack it up, and ship it to the lab.
2. Explain the concept of an investigative task force and how they work together even in different jurisdictions proving to be most helpful in terrorism cases where vast amounts of area may be involved (air transport, mail, trans-national e-mail, etc.).
3. What would be an ideal operational situation for a task force involved in a bomb explosion right outside the city limits of Chicago that is similar to an explosion just two weeks prior in Milwaukee? Explain the steps you would use to try to connect both bombings and the ramifications of a possible serial bomber to capture in two jurisdictions.
4. Explore the many bits of information that a mail cover might develop. Tell what the best kind of mail cover is and how that which is on the outside of a target's mail can be utilized legally.
5. Delineate the role of the crime laboratory's responsibilities in terrorism investigation and explain how the investigator must go the extra steps needed to obtain valuable evidence.
PART II
Directions: For this assignment, you are to research the Internet and locate a terrorist attack. Once you have researched the case, you are to write an essay explaining the nature of the incident and the actions needed at the scene to begin the investigation. Be sure to include what you are looking for as an investigator and how you will go about conducting your investigation.
Your paper should be 1 to 2 pages in length not including the title page and the references page. Citations, references, formatting should be in accordance with APA guidelines. The ICF has potential to improve communication and collaboration (through its universal concepts and language) among health professionals working within multidisciplinary teams in research and practice to impact health outcomes for patients. Thus, it is timely for clinicians and trainees working in health-related fields to incorporate its framework into practice and research. It is hoped that professional programs will model our approach to develop similar courses within their professional curriculum to build capacity for application of the ICF. Education and training through a combination of peer support and mentorship for health professionals in the use of the ICF could assist with facilitating its uptake.

Build a slide presentation (PowerPoint preferred) of the health promotion plan you developed in the first assessment (order _134058_350788.doc ). Then, implement your health promotion plan by conducting a face-to-face educational session addressing the health concern and health goals of your selected community member or group. In addition, collaborate with any participants in setting goals for the session, evaluating session outcomes, and suggesting possible revisions to improve future sessions.
Review attached Vila Health Doc. The information gained from completing this activity will help you succeed with the assessment as you consider key issues in conducting an effective educational session for a selected audience. Completing activities is also a way to demonstrate engagement.
Professional Context
Health education
is any combination of learning experiences designed to help community individuals, families, and aggregates improve their health by increasing knowledge or influencing attitudes (WHO, 2018). Education is key to health promotion, disease prevention, and disaster preparedness. The health indicator framework identified in Healthy People 2020 helps motivate action in such areas as health service access, clinical preventive services, environmental quality, injury or violence, maternal, infant and child health, mental health, nutrition, substance abuse, and tobacco use.
Nurses provide accurate evidence-based information and education in various formal and informal settings. They draw upon evidence-based practice to provide health promotion and disease prevention activities to create social and physical environments conducive to improving and maintaining community health. When provided with the tools to be successful, people demonstrate lifestyle changes (self-care) that promote health and help reduce readmissions. They are better able to tolerate stressors, including environmental changes, and enjoy a better quality of life. In times of crisis, a resilient community is a safer community (ODPHP, n.d.; Flanders, 2018).
This assessment provides an opportunity for you to apply teaching and learning concepts to the presentation of a health promotion plan.
Demonstration of Proficiency
By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and assessment criteria:
Competency 3: Evaluate health policies, based on their ability to achieve desired outcomes.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

CIF - Classificação Internacional de Funcionalidade
1. Introduction
Title
The publication of the International
Classification of Functioning, Disability
and Health (ICF) in 2001 had, as one
of its main bases, the objective to
control the situation of functioning and
disability at populations, as a statistical
tool. Such control may be able to drive
health policy. However, to be possible,
it is necessary that professionals be
able to use ICF safely and assertively.
The first step to be implemented, as
the literature clearly indicates, is the
insertion of the conceptual model of
functioning and disability of WHO in
professional practice, in political
practice and academic practice. The
multidimensional model does not deny
the existence of a linear model, but the
reverse is true. Currently, the training
of health professionals institutions still
teach the execution of the linear model
for clinical practice and for determining
the political and social guidelines. It is
necessary, in principle, that the
content of ICF be included in
undergraduate and graduate.
But, by now, the professionals must
learn about ICF after graduation. To
facilitate the ICF dissemination, a
online learning tool in Portuguese was
created and it is avaliable in the
webpage http://hoducif.org/hoducif.
ICF Online training for
Brazilian professionals
Abstract The online learning tool from CIF Brasil is avaliable since 2013. After two years, professionals from different
parts of the country could know the ICF and its applications. Students, health professionals and managers are the target
audience for this course. It has four modules containing vídeos, texts, articles, exercises and forums for discussing.

Methods Results and Discussion
The course is avaliable in a free
internet model for online couses called
Moodle Plattaform. We created four
sections. Each one contains a video-
class, an article and a guide text. The
complementation is done with queries,
exercises and forums for discussing.
The students stay online during two
weeks, about two hours by day and
the professor share informations,
questions and other forms of learning
stimulations.
The Moodle Platform offers all the
features that are necessaries for
learning and teaching in online
courses. Our greatest care was the
recording of lessons, made by a
professional team for videos making.
Figure 1 – ICF online course page
Figure 2 – Video 1 image
Figure 2 – Video 3 image
The modules presents and discuss the
ICF conceptual model, applications,
structure, qualifiers, and examples of
codes, codification, study cases and
ways to implementation.
Demands for this course come from
national institutes, professional
associations and unions, hospitals or
other health institutions, as well as
universities. We started the method in
2013, after 5 years with the face-to-
face. Until now, more than 5.000
students learned about ICF on CIF
Brasil ways. The online course has
been, at least, a great improvement to
talk about public policies.
A comparison of the “functional health
status” of the populations according to
the presence of diseases and contextual
factors may help us to determine
actions about the environment so that
we can improve the functionality and
prevent disability.
The information system can collect data
from different sources, not only in
healthcare, but also through population
surveys, through school forms or
periodic examinations of workers. But
the professionals must know about that
and how they can help the information
system for big data.
Besides the educational materials from
WHO, other education and exercise
tools were developed to facilitate
integration of knowledge, one of these
is the online courses.
Online courses can provide informations
about ICF using to people in different
places at the same time. So it has been
an important tool in Brazil, wich has a
very large geographical area.
