Hanukkah celebrates the Maccabees' victory over King Antiochus and the rededication of the Jerusalem Temple after only a small jug of oil lasted eight days. Kwanzaa was created in 1966 to celebrate African and African American culture and focuses on seven principles known as "Nguzo Saba."
