This document provides instructions for opening Microsoft Word and selecting the page orientation in a blank document. It outlines 4 steps: 1) Open MS Word by clicking the Start button and searching or clicking the MS Word icon. 2) Open a blank document which will display a toolbar. 3) Click the Page Layout tab in the toolbar to change the bottom options. 4) Choose between Portrait and Landscape page orientations by clicking Page Orientation.

2. STEP 1:
• OPEN MICROSOFT WORD BY FIRST CLICKING ON THE START BUTTON USUALLY LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM LEFT OF YOU DESKTOP
SCREEN.
• THEN YOU CAN FIND MS WORD BY EITHER SEARCHING YOU COMPUTER USING THE SEARCH BAR AT THE BOTTOM OF THE START
BUTTON SCREEN FOR MS WORD, OR BY CLICKING ON THE MS WORD BUTTON THAT IS ALREADY LOCKED ONTO THE START BUTTON
SCREEN.

3. STEP 2:
• ONCE THE MS WORD SCREEN COMES UP YOU ARE GOING TO WANT TO OPEN A BLANK DOCUMENT.
• AFTER YOU HAVE PICKED A BLANK DOCUMENT YOU WILL SEE THE BLANK DOCUMENT WITH A TOOLBAR AT
THE TOP OF THE IT.
• THIS TOOLBAR IS WHERE YOU WILL LOCATE THE PAGE ORIENTATION BUTTON.

4. STEP 3:
• ON THE TOOLBAR YOU WILL SEE A LIST OF TABS AT THE TOP THAT HAVE NAMES SUCH AS HOME, INSERT,
DESIGN, TRANSITIONS, ETC.
• YOU ARE GOING TO WANT TO CLICK ON THE TAB THAT SAYS PAGE LAYOUT LOCATED AT THE TOP OF THIS
TOOLBAR.
• AFTER CLICKING ON THE PAGE LAYOUT TAB THE ITEMS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE TOOLBAR WILL CHANGE.

5. STEP 4:
• AFTER CLICKING ON PAGE ORIENTATION YOU WILL SEE TWO CHOICES EITHER PORTRAIT, AND LANDSCAPE.
• YOU ARE GOING TO WANT TO CHOOSE THE PORTRAIT PAGE ORIENTATION.
