Chris Brown began his career in 2004 with his self-titled debut album which went double-platinum and had a number one single "Run It!". He grew up listening to Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder and later moved to New York City where he recorded nearly fifty songs in six months. While his record label RCA plans his tours, Brown chooses his own outfits without stylists and plans his own events. Early in his career, Brown self-funded but is now supported by his record labels. He names his fan base "Team Breezy" and has a website called TBWorld to keep fans updated on his latest news and activities.
