was afraid of the unknown and felt obligated to her family. Evelyn fears breaking the
promise made to her mother.* The wording of the thesis can be changed but the it should
follow that general idea* Please show a rough publish before completionThe requirements
for the essay are as follows:• Essay must be exactly 2 pages in length• Essay must be
argumentative (persuasive) in nature• Essay must use a sufficient number of textual
examples–quotations followed by explanationand interpretation–as argumentative
support• Essay must adhere to MLA standards and guidelines (e MLA Handbook, 8th ed)•
Essay must contain a “Works Cited” pageEssay Format• Double-space everything• Set
document margins to 1” on all sides• Number all of the pages of your essay; page numbers
should be inserted in the upper right-handcorner of the page, one-half inch from the top

read the story you are discussing but does not remember it in detail. Inother words, be sure
