Child Abuse
  Jordan Martin
5 children die every day as a result of
         abuse and neglect.
In 2011, nearly 279,000 children were
   helped by Children’s Advocacy
Centers. In 2012, the number of
    victims increased to 287,000.
Bruises, burns, fractures, head injuries and
abdominal injuries are among the most common
types of injuries found when treating an
                  abused child.
In 2012, over 256,741 offenders had
been caught. 210,828 of the offenders
   were parents/stepparents, other
     known relatives, or someone
        unrelated and known.
Children who have suffered from abuse are more likely
to develop a multiple personality disorder.
Depression and withdrawal
   symptoms can be found in
children as young as 3 years old
   who have been neglected.
Approximately 1/3 of abused and neglected children
will grow up and victimize their own children.
Children with a history of abuse
are 11 times more likely to
 become involved in criminal
     activity as a juvenile.
2/3 of people in treatment programs for drug abuse
have reported being abused in the past as a child.
Please.
Stand up and fight for the
       innocent.
Fight for the children.
