1. As an Organic/Inorganic chemist, I was responsible for the analysis of a range of samples
using techniques including gas-chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography
and mass spectroscopy. I was employed by Versar Inc. in Springfield VA to analyze
chemical samples for a variety of public and private companies, and specialized in areas
including PCB’s, Pesticides, Herbicides, Dioxins, Water/Air analysis, Volatile Organics and
Atomic Absorption of heavy metals.
.I was also a QA/QC officer for the Binghamton NY PCB project and the PCB project out of
San Francisco, CA.
Experience included:
 using a range of software, techniques and equipment to carry out research and analysis
 analyzing and interpreting data
 Superfund ( CERCLA) : analysis for contaminated sites: hazardous substances and
pollutants.
 making sure that data was accurately recorded in accordance to EPA guidelines
 reporting/presenting results
 writing research papers, reports, reviews and summaries
 keeping up to date with scientific and technical developments
 ensuring that health and safety issues are adhered to
 developing new analytical methods
