harder. Cheatingcostspeople alotof moneybygivingoutdegreestopeople whocannotthe really

so seriousthatKemLey,a social developmentresearchersaid“The corruptioninfinal examsof

Meanwhile onhome shores, thirteenstudentshave beenexpelledfromDeakinUniversityforpaying
a thirdparty to complete theirassignments forthem. Thisrepresentsonly0.04% of the student
populationintheircourse,howeverthe problemissoseriousthat expulsionwastheirresponse.

couldpossibly wantanAustralianworldwhere theycheatwithbothhands. Familymembersall look

UnitedKingdomUniversitieshave recentlycaughtand50,00 universitystudentscheatingontheir
universitycourseworkandexaminations.The UKfiguresfrom the lastthree yearsshow non-EU
studentsfourtimesmore likelytocheatinexamsandcourseworkessays.These statisticsallow the
UnitedKingdomauthoritiestomore easilytargetpotential cheatersbasedontheirbackground.
Non-EUstudentsmade up35% of cases butaccountedfor just12% of the studentpopulation,
requestsfrom70 universitiesshowed.AtQueenMaryUniversityof London,75% of postgraduates
foundguiltyof plagiarismwere fromabroad,withathirdfromChina.
Frequentcheater,MrSchneaky,whohascheatedon examsforyearswrote inhismemoir, Why do
the work,when you can cheatyourself into any job you want,“Cheatingatschool issomethingthat
youreallyneverlose the abilitytodo,itis an importantskill tocherish.” MrHonest-face,along-time
do-gooder,however,spoketoustodayand noted,“I reckonthatpersonis goingtohell.”
