Ernesto "Che" Guevara was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary born in 1928 in Rosaria, Argentina. He was a physician, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat, and military theorist best known as a major figure in the Cuban Revolution. In his early life, he enjoyed reading works by Marx, Lenin, and Nehru and traveled through South America with his friend Alberto Granado in 1951-1952 chronicling their experiences in his book The Motorcycle Diaries.
