This document discusses a messaging app called Chatshopper that allows users to get shopping recommendations and assistance from chatbots or human agents within messaging platforms like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. It started as a shopping consultancy service via WhatsApp in 2015. While humans don't scale as well as chatbots, Chatshopper aims to use both chatbots and human agents to enable scalable one-to-one communication for shopping assistance to users and partnerships with retailers.
