Allosaurus was a large carnivorous theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 150 to 140 million years ago, across North America, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Europe. It grew up to 40 feet long, 10 feet tall, weighed around 4.5 tons, and had razor sharp teeth, a skull with two short horns and bony knobs, and powerful jaws, allowing it to hunt and scavenge large plant-eating dinosaurs either alone or in groups.
