A two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was conducted to determine if monthly sales are affected by the age of the sales representative or the type of item sold, as well as whether there is an interaction between these two factors. The results of the ANOVA showed no significant difference in monthly sales between the two age groups of sales representatives. However, there were significant differences found between the types of items sold and a significant interaction between the age of the sales representative and the item type. This suggests that both the item type and the combination of the salesperson's age and item affect monthly sales amounts.
