The Crest Girls' Academy has formed an educational partnership with the Kamabai Secondary School in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Students and staff from both schools have begun communicating and learning about each other's cultures through sharing photos, letters, and joint educational projects. Over 35 students from Year 8 at Crest Girls' Academy make up the International Partnerships Committee, supported by 3 Year 9 ambassadors, and have participated in various activities to welcome the partnership, such as creating informational materials about life at their school. The academy aims to further develop its international programs and community involvement to achieve an intermediate level of recognition as an International School.

Empowering Teachers with More Pluggable Educational Technology
Teachers are often greatly limited in the educational technology they can use in their classes because it becomes increasingly complex to use on the web software from many different vendors. Students must get a separate account for each new system, teachers need to jump between systems to assess and grade student work and transfer grades between the different systems.
Thorough the IMS Global Learning Consortium (www.imsglobal.org), the marketplace is developing standards that will allow course rosters and roles to be moved from one system to another and for graded to be moved between systems without rewiring hand-copying of data between systems. The new standard is called 'IMS Learning Tools Interoperability'. For example if your school uses Moodle and you would like to use www.chemvantage.org for Chemistry homework, you can simply 'plug' ChemVantage into Moodle and the rest is handled automatically.
This presentation will introduce IMS Learning Tools Interoperability at a very high level and show some demonstrations of it working with Sakai, Moodle, and Blackboard.

Sue Kayser has had a long association with John Kelly Girls' Technology College and its successor The Crest Girls' Academy, taking on various roles such as head of modern languages department, assistant principal, and most recently chair of governors. She has worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition between the schools and will continue her weekly horse riding lessons at The Crest Girls' Academy. Several students from The Crest Girls' Academy had successes in the Brent art competition on the theme of 'Hate Crime' and attended an awards ceremony. Students also participated in entrepreneurship and science activities.

International School Partnerships-Developing Sustainability
This document discusses best practices for developing sustainable international school partnerships. The British Council has launched the British Council School Ambassadors (BCSA) programme in India and Sri Lanka. The BCSA programme aims to work with experienced schools that have led international partnerships and initiatives to help other schools explore global opportunities through the British Council. As volunteers, BCSAs will identify and mentor new schools, briefing them on programmes like the Connecting Classrooms Online Community. BCSAs that successfully register and guide multiple schools may receive rewards like certificates, prizes, or opportunities to assess the International School Award. The programme allows the British Council to strengthen relationships with leading schools and support more schools in developing global skills.

The newsletter provides updates on NWCCI students' achievements and activities. It encourages current students to make the most of their final quarter and prepare for returning home. It also welcomes new students joining the program in the coming year and highlights ways for current students to get involved and support incoming students.
Scsn oxford uni widen participation project
The Service Children Support Network is partnering with the University of Oxford Widening Participation Team to provide educational enrichment programs for primary and secondary school students in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. The project aims to raise aspirations, introduce concepts of further and higher education, and dispel misconceptions about university. It involves workshops and programs in schools and at the university on topics like the educational journey, solving a murder mystery set at the university, and addressing learning skills. The programs are free or low-cost and interested schools should contact Joy O'Neill by October 31st for details.
The Little Book of Big Thank Yous
The Vice Chancellor thanks donors for enabling many projects at Warwick University over the past year. Donations totaling over £12 million supported scholarships, science, medicine, global responsibility, and areas of greatest need. Funds helped establish the first national center for early miscarriage care and research. Donations also supported outreach programs in art, mentoring for students, research scholarships, and initiatives in Africa and India helping students. The donations are thanked for changing lives and supporting the university's vision.

This article profiles two lifelong friends, Chris Biocchi and Paul Bursche, who graduated cum laude from Algoma University's Bachelor of Business Administration program. Both attended Sault College's Aviation Technology Flight pilot training program but then decided to pursue business degrees from Algoma U to broaden their career options. They found the transition from college to university to be smooth with help from the registrar's office. While in school, they started their own successful business. Both are now enjoying career success, with Biocchi working as Security and Business Administration Manager at the Sault Ste. Marie Airport and Bursche working as an Aviation Flight Technologist at Sault College. Their degrees have already proven valuable to their careers.
No Author North Carolina Educational Exchange
The University of North Carolina Center for International Understanding promotes global engagement and international education in North Carolina through various programs. The Center helps establish school partnerships between North Carolina and Chinese schools to increase cultural awareness, world language opportunities, and global competence among students and teachers. Through student and teacher exchanges and online collaborations, the North Carolina-China School Partnerships program has established 23 partnerships so far between schools in North Carolina and China.

- 1. Building Friendships through International Partnership “It’s so exciting to be part of the International Partnerships Group, we have lots of ideas and can’t wait to share them” – D Avram 9C The Crest Girls’ Academy has formed an educational partnership with The Kamabai Secondary School in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Students and staff from both schools have begun communicating with each other to learn more about our different cultures, share good practice and plan joint educational projects. CGA students selecting photographs and reading letters from Kamabai Secondary School The CGA International Partnerships Committee is made up of over 35 Year 8 students. They are supported by 3 Year 9 ambassadors, who are already experienced in hosting international visits to our academy. Activities to date have included, creating ‘the life of a London school girl’ collage, a Crest Girls’ Academy information pack, signing up to write friendship letters, writing a ‘week in our academy life’ diaries and editing our forthcoming Kamabai Secondary School / Crest Girls’ Academy newsletter. Students will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other E-ACT academies involved in the project, which is supported by Plan www.plan-uk.org To find out more about the partnership or be involved get in touch with Ms Kamala – Senior Vice Principal / International Partnerships Coordinator.
