This document introduces the CELSUS project, which offers a do-it-yourself book scanning solution using unique software, mobile camera stands, and ordinary equipment like a compact camera, computer, and lamp. The solution allows users to scan books and documents into digital formats like e-books and PDFs. It will be sold as multiple software versions through an online shop with plans to later expand to retail stores. The affordable solution costs $29.99 compared to competitors that cost over $10,000. The founder, Ondrej Stastny, is recruiting team members to help with areas like product design, sales, and digital image processing.
