This document discusses 6 rules for responsive web design:
1. Responsive design doesn't end with squishy layouts - optimize based on user capabilities rather than just screen size.
2. There is no responsive pixie dust - streamline workflows and use rapid prototypes and style tiles to communicate fluid layouts.
3. Your workflow will change - iterate designs quickly through prototypes rather than big reveals.
4. Your tools will change - leverage preprocessors like SASS and frameworks like Foundation for responsive coding.
5. The web is responsive by default - prioritize content and build APIs to support multiple platforms.
6. Embrace unpredictability - acknowledge the constraints of different devices
Coming with 7+ years of experience in visual UI / front-end development work, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Web Standard HTML5. Also, bringing outstanding ability to carry out client-approved mock-ups, and to develop web features with great user experience.
The document discusses the development of an affordable and portable projection mapping kit. It begins with exploring the need for such a product through surveys that identified projection mapping and issues with existing solutions being expensive, difficult to set up, and inaccessible. The brief is then defined to scale down projection mapping in size and cost to allow broader use. Criteria for evaluating success are outlined around resolution, mobility, energy use, simplicity, and affordability. Research is presented on existing projection mapping uses, equipment rental costs, and issues with DIY solutions. Factors affecting the design such as function, environment, cost, customer needs, and mass production potential are also discussed.
The three modern product trends discussed are:
1. Design as an investment - Companies that invest in design outperform those that don't. Design should be considered an investment, not just a cost.
2. Product decisions should be based on evidence from design research - Relying only on experience and assumptions is misguided; product decisions benefit from qualitative and quantitative user research data.
3. Empowering small teams - Large, centralized teams are less agile than small, cross-functional teams empowered to make decisions based on evidence from research.

DESIGNS
Over the Summer of 2019, I got the chance to live
in Sydney, Australia. While there, I interned for
an educational institute working under the CEO
and the head of their Digital Media Team. My job
was to design them a new, fantastic website. I had
to create wireframes, pitch the ideas, then imple-
ment the designs. It was an awesome experience
that taught me a lot about designing great User
Interfaces and User Experiences. When I got back
to college, I decided to take the skills that I had
learned there and apply them to the Hackberry
Lab Website, correcting old features and design-
ing new and exciting User Experiences.
Skills Learned:
Designing Wireframe Mockups, Rapid-
ly Changing Wireframes to suit Client
Needs, Executing Designs in Wordpress

9. CHIBIKART
The Chibikart was created with a group
of four other students. When creating it,
I learned all about how electric vehicles
work. I worked specifically on the elec-
tronics of the Chibikart. When we had to
add a custom part, we decided to add
electric NERF guns that could be fired
from the steering column. I was in charge
of figuring out how to do this. When it was
finished I decided to teach myself how the
electric motors worked. In my research,
I learned how to code the electric break
out of it, while also ramping up the output
of the engines.
Skills Learned:
Wiring, Coding, Soldering,
Mounting and Modifying Different Equipment,
Documentation of Progress through videos,
Experience with Adobe Premiere

Sunset Drop was a game created using
Processing, Arduino, an Xbox Kinect, and a
custom made Infrared Controller.The group
that I was with split the parts of the game
up, and I was in charge of making the Infra-
red Controller and making sure that it talk-
ed to the Xbox Kinect. I also helped to make
sure Processing could read the signals com-
ing from the Xbox Kinect. I also helped to
create the logical flow of the games’ pages.
Skills Learned:
How Infrared works in motion tracking, Pro-
cessing,
Basics of User Experience Design, Program-
ming an Arduino to send and receive data
with another device

13. INFRATRACK
Infratrack was a major project created for
our Design Studio class. I was in a team of
three that was given the objective to help
a Podiatrist run a more efficient business
with technology.We created three ob-
jectives to accomplish this: tracking the
employees, tracking the efficiency of the
employees, and giving Dr. LaPointe infor-
mation to help him choose which patient
to see next. Our prototype used infrared
technology to track the employees and a
website to display the information.
Skills Needed:
Designing Breadboards, Using an Arduino to
send information to a Database, Getting an
Arduino to Track Infrared Signals, Creating a
Website to Display Information on which

15. CANSTOOL
The Canstool was created to help lower the amount of trips i have
to make from my car to the campsite by creating a campstool that
can carry cans. It was designed with six holes measured to fit
cans of all different sizes. From Coke cans to soup cans, the Can-
stool can carry it all. It was designed in Fusion 360 and cut out
with a Crawlbot, then painted, and assembled by hand.
Skills Needed:
Design in Fusion 360, Modelling/Rendering in Fusion 360, Up-
loading the design to a Crawlbot, Painting Skills, and Assembly

17. COOLER
The COOLer was created so that i could
have the ultimate BBQ experience by
combining the two essential items for
any good outdoor party: an old cool-
er and a speaker system. I turned the
speaker system into a bluetooth system,
then added it to my cooler. I filled in
the holes with a type of resin, so that the
electronics will not get broken by the
ice and drinks.
Skills Needed:
Practical electronics
Wiring
Soldering
Setting up Bluetooth Connections
Setting up a Speaker
Working with Resin

19. BRIGHTSHADES
Brightshades were created as a fahion-
able glasses to be worn when you want
to stand out.You will light up the room
with customizable, programmable
glasses that can be made to react to
sound and movement.
Skills Needed:
Arduino Programming, Mounting
Neopixels, Breadboarding,
Soldering

21. STORMLIGHT SIGNALS
I created a circuit board using EasyEDA software.
When it came in, I soldered the LEDs, Arduino
Nano, buttons, resistors, and a capacitor to the
board. After all of that was finished, I coded three
different functions into the Nano for each of the
buttons.
Skills Needed:
Programming an Arduino Nano, Creating a PCB,
Mounting Parts to the PCB,
Soldering the Parts, Basic Circuit Building

23. FUSION 360
A valuable skill that I have learned
during my time at Hackberry Lab
is designing and modeling in Fu-
sion 360. It is a 3D Design software
that is great for creating renders of
prototypes that can then be up-
loaded to a number of tools. I have
done designs that I 3D printed,
laser cut, and uploaded to a Crawl-
bot to cut out of wood.
Skills Learned:
3D Design, 3D Rendering, Laser
Cutting, 3D Printing, Automated
Wood Cutting
