Causal Analysis Essay Outline
Writing a Causal Analysis Essay Outline can be a challenging task that requires careful
consideration and thoughtful analysis. The difficulty lies in dissecting the various causal
relationships between different elements and events to create a coherent and well-structured
essay. This type of essay requires the writer to delve deep into the connections and consequences
of specific actions, events, or phenomena.
To start, one must thoroughly research and understand the topic, gathering relevant information
and evidence to support the causal links being explored. Organizing these findings into a logical
and clear outline poses its own set of challenges, as the writer needs to determine the most
effective sequence of events and relationships to present to the reader.
Creating a well-crafted Causal Analysis Essay Outline involves identifying the primary cause
and effect relationships, ensuring a logical flow from one point to the next. Each section of the
outline must contribute to the overall understanding of the topic, and the writer needs to strike a
balance between providing enough detail to support their claims without overwhelming the
reader.
Furthermore, the writer must critically analyze the information and draw meaningful conclusions
from the causal connections they've identified. This requires a keen understanding of the subject
matter and the ability to synthesize information to develop a compelling argument.
In summary, crafting a Causal Analysis Essay Outline demands a combination of research skills,
critical thinking, and effective organization. It requires the writer to navigate through complex
relationships and present them in a coherent and persuasive manner. However, with dedication
and a systematic approach, one can overcome these challenges and create a compelling essay that
explores the causal links within a given topic.

Desire In Ethan Frome
First Draft Desire inflates, when the fulfillment is illicit. The tragic romance Ethan
Frome is written by Edith Wharton and was published 1911 in Paris. It is about a
poor young farmer that lives near Massachussets in the stodgy town of Starkfield. He
is unhappily married to his older wife Zeena, who has a fictitious illness. When they
invite Zeenas bankrupt cousin to come and live with them to help out in their family,
Ethan unfortunately falls in love with her. Mattie is youthful, pleasant and beautiful;
she embodies everything that Ethan ever wanted. Zeena soon realizes the attraction
between Mattie and Ethan so she decides to dismiss Mattie and look for a new
household helper. Just as Ethan takes Mattie to the train station they both... Show

Ethan is attracted to his cousin Maddie, because she represents everything that he
was hopelessly looking for in his wife Zeena. Even though they re not intimate with
each other they still sleep in the same bed He and Zeena had not exchanged a word
after the door of their room had closed on them (Wharton 56).Between Ethan and
Zeena there is no more communication. Already early on in the novel, Wharton
makes it clear that there is tension between Ethan and his wife. Without trust and
conversation a relationship is not possible, and there is nothing to build upon. Later
in the novel we have the same situation but this time it was about Mattie When the
door of her room had closed on her he remembered that he had not even touched her
hand (Wharton 97).Unlike with his wife Zeena, Ethan consciously remembers that he
hadn t shown affection to Mattie. She s the last person he thinks about before he
goes to sleep and is beginning to fall and care for her. This detail foreshadows that
something vast will happen between them, as ffection is a big part of becoming close
to one another. Human affection is not just extremely important
How Does China Value Helpfulness
In folklore, China and Egypt are similar in cultural values. China values appearance
and Egypt values giving good so they both value helpfulness. In the text it states,
Mr.Chang ignored the coments of the little girls and retrived their shuttlecock .They
valued helpfulness because even though the kids told him to stop he helped them
anyway. This quotation supports that they valued helpfulness Mr.Chang helped them
even though he was viewed as an important person. The phrase retrieved from the
quote proves they valued helpfulness because that s how he helped the little girl. In
the Egypt folktale it states To the children s rescue come their old friend the
Crocodile who carried them safely home . Here, the crocodile came back save them

Health Of Achieving Health And Wellness
Achieving health and wellness is a highly individualized, dynamic process that is
characterized by six interrelated dimensions: physical, social, intellectual, emotional,
spiritual, and environmental health. The focus of this paper is my physical health as
it relates to wellness.
Furthermore, the objective of focusing on my physical health is to identify current
health behaviors and factors that may be impacting and prohibiting me from
achieving optimal physical health. Using the Transtheoretical Model for Stages of
Change1 as a guide, I will identify a specific health behavior I am seeking to
improve, and outline an action plan to achieve and maintain good physical health.
In assessing my health behaviors, I have identified three specific behaviors that have
negatively impacted my physical health: lack of physical activity, poor nutrition and
inadequate sleep. The factors that I attribute to these current heath behaviors are: a
lack of social support and guidance, the nutritional value of foods consumed (as
related to the culture in which I was raised), and time management.
I attribute my lack of physical activity to an absence of social support and guidance
in my life. For example, my mother suffers with cardiovascular disease (CVD), yet
rarely engages in physical activity. Five years ago, my mother had a heart attack, and
underwent an angioplasty2 in order to receive a stent3. In accordance with the

Kino s Emotions in Steinbeck’s Novel, The Pearl Essay
A small twist of fate can destroy the life of an individual. Kino, a Mexican, pearl
diver, is in desperate need of help when his baby, Coyotito, is stung by a scorpion.
Kino feels his only hope is to find a pearl beautiful enough to sell. His dream comes
true when he discovers a magnificent pearl one morning. At first the discovery of the
pearlcan be looked upon as not only a miracle but also a life saver. Throughout the
novel it becomes apparent the pearl is no where close to a miracle. Kino s life
becomes a struggle with many decisions that have to be made. In Steinbeck s novel,
The Pearl, the power of the pearl relates to Kino s emotions. Kino is hopeful in the

Juana will finally have a wedding and his son will attend school. Kino leaves his
house confidently with hopes of selling the pearl.
Kino s feeling of hope soon turns anger and greed, and in turn the pearl begins to
have evil powers. His plan of selling the pearl does not work out when he is only
offered a small amount of money. Kino becomes angry with the fact that he is not
going to receive the amount of money he feels he deserves and decides to keep the
pearl. Kino becomes obsessed with the pearl and his life begins to change
drastically. Kino admits, This pearl has become my soul. If I give it up, I shall
lose my soul (87; ch. 5). Kino is attacked by a group of men hoping to steal the
pearl; Kino, not thinking clearly, kills one of the attackers. Kino realizes what he
did is wrong decides to run away, so he takes his family and goes into hiding.
While hiding, trackers begin looking for Kino and his family. Kino decides to try
and attack the men in hopes of saving his family but one of the men shots into the
air and kills Coyotito. After killing both of the trackers, Kino realizes what the
pearl has done to his life and decides his only hope is to get rid of the pearl. Kino
returns to the beach where he found the pearl and throws it back into the water.

Shamanism and the Indigenous Peoples of Siberia Essays
Shamanism and the Indigenous Peoples of Siberia
Shamanism plays a role within most tribal communities of the indigenous peoples of
Siberia. Within the community the shaman has many roles; one of his[1][1] main
roles is that of a healer. The function of the shaman is closely related to the spirit
world (Eliade 71). A shamanuses ecstatic trance to communicate with spirits. Spirits
are integral to a shaman s ability to heal within his community.
Shamanic activity is generally a public function (Grim 11 12). Shamans are highly
respected members of the community. Shamans are of the elect ; recognition of a
shaman can only be bestowed by the entire community (Eliade 7, 17). Without the
community, a shaman is not a shaman ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The gods created man, and he lived happily until the time when the evils spirits
spread sickness and death over the earth. The gods decided to give mankind a
shaman to combat disease and death, and they sent the eagle. (Eliade 69)
Many tribes, other than the Buryat, consider the eagle, sent by the Supreme Being,
to be the creator of the first shaman . These peoples include the Yakut of Turkhansk,
Yenisei Ostyak, the Teleut, and the Orochon. Therefore according to this legend, the
shaman s initial purpose was to exterminate the evil spirits of sickness and death that
plagued the people; in other words, one of the shaman s first purposes was to heal
(Eliade 69 71).
As a healer, the shaman puts energy into the community. The shaman dramatizes and
makes visible the incomprehensible mystery of all existence. . . . The shaman s
ritual assures the flow of such vital energy into the community . . . [with the idea
that] no man can succeed in life alone, and he cannot get the help he needs from men
(Vilmos Dioszegi qtd. in Grim 13). An individual needs this assistance from the
higher powers of the sacred and the profane in the spirit world; this assistance can
only be achieved with the guidance of the shaman.
The shaman allows the community to perceive holiness of higher powers by
experiencing and absorbing sustaining, healing power and communicating this power
to his community. This power has a transformative quality to it that is
Foreign Policies Affect US Foreign Policy
Foreign policies are created in the interests of achieving safeguards and regulations
that best suit the wellbeing of a country or region. The reason for such policies is
to maintain order and peace while also protecting certain aspects of daily life from
people who might want to do harm. During the past few years many policies have
been changed due to the changing world and ideologies of the people these policies
protect. Certain policies affect people more than others while some are made to
impact corporations, governments, regions or jobs. For instance global warming
issues have arised due to carbon dioxide levels rising, putting pressure on
corporations to put better practices on manufacturing goods, decreasing water supply

This is a big issue since most parents want their kids to have some job experience
while in college or some have to help with their families. I currently hold a job in
Disneyland that many hispanic, asian and african american people have, in many
different age ranges who either help support their family or work insane hours to
just put food on the table. A lot of my friends work two jobs since disney doesn t
give out full time to everyone but lets people work 40+ hours a week with no
benefits and no raises. The companies don t want to spend money on wages or
wage increases, so they cut back on workers or hire workers who will settle for a
lower wage, these being illegal immigrants without documentation or outsourcing
these jobs to people overseas in which their country dont have the same regulations or
rules as we

1) Which of the six colors of the rainbow is refracted the greatest?
Out of the 7 colors of the rainbow, Violet is refracted the greatest.
2) What is a mirage and why does it always disappear as the observer gets closer?
A mirage is a naturally occurring optical phenomenon in which light rays are bent
to produce a displaced image of distant objects or the sky. Mirages appear at very
low viewing angles, when you are far away. As you approach, the viewing angle
increases and the mirage disappears, or moves farther away. The reflection of heat
dissipates in the human eye causing the mirage or blur to vanish.

The same cloud that is not fog on lower ground may be fog where it contacts higher
ground such as hilltops or mountain ridges. A cloud is a visible mass of condensed
droplets or ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere above the surface of the Earth or
another planetary body. The branch of meteorology in which clouds are studied is
nephrology.
13) If you see towering puffy clouds in the afternoon, you are probably seeing what
kind of cloud?
A cumulonimbus Cloud.
What does this mean for the weather forecast this afternoon and early evening?
Cumulonimbus clouds are mostly affiliated with thunderstorms, lightning, heavy
rainfall, blizzard or hail. The forecast should reflect rain or chances of rain.
14) What is a weather satellite and how does it help us make forecasts?
A weather satellite is used by meteorologists to gather information about the weather.
Weather satellites give meteorologists a view of weather patterns over a very large
area. This enables meteorologists to track large weather patterns and make more
accurate predictions of future weather behavior.
15) How do computers help weather forecasting?
Using computers in meteorology helps weather forecasters analyze the atmosphere by
drawing weather maps separately for each of several atmospheric levels. Then the
computer can put it all together and generate a prediction.
Can we just let the computer tell us what the weather will be without human
Vitamin D and Nutritional Rickets
RICKETS For Scientific Principles and Health and Disease By: Mackenzie Gray
112 69 7540 April 7, 2010 Rickets is a disease that deals with a deficiency with
Vitamin D. Vitamin D is important by controlling calcium and phosphate levels. If
the blood levels of these minerals become too low, the body may produce hormones
that cause calcium and phosphate to be released from the bones eventually this leads
to weak and soft bones. (2) Throughout this paper we will go over a variety of
characteristics involving the disease of Rickets, these includes things such as: causes
of disease, risk factors, significance statistics of Rickets, diagnosis, treatment, disease
changes and comorbidity/comortality. The main cause... Show more content on

Secondary intervention is a little different in primary to the extent that the
individual actually falls into risk factors categories, and has the potential of getting
the disease. This intervention is relative to the diagnosis of the disease. For
example, to check to see if someone has hypertension, nurses and doctors would
consistently be checking the patients blood pressure in order to diagnose the patient
with hypertension. Likewise, running certain tests that were mentioned previously
in this paper help to diagnose Rickets. Tertiary intervention must occur once the
individual has been diagnosed with the disease and from this point forward can
only fight against the disease as best as they can. At this stage in the disease you
will have the disease and you can only help the disease by doing certain things to
help you live longer than expected (if the disease causes fatality). For example, when
a patient realizes that they have diabetes, that individual will live with that
complication for the rest of his/her life. Therefore, in order for diabetic patients to
live with their diabetes they must use insulin to regulate their glucose levels in the
blood. In the disease of Rickets, children can only prevent Rickets from getting worse
in this stage taking Vitamin D, Calcium, or Phosphorus supplements. (4) Rickets is a
type of disease than has changes as it progresses over a
Ebola Virus Disease ( Evd )
Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), formally known as Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever, which is
a severe, often fatal illness in humans. This virus is transmitted to people from wild
animals and spread in human population through human transmission. The Ebola

past outbreaks. EbolaVirus causes an acute, serious illness which is often fatal if it
is not treated, the virus first appeared in 1976 in 2 simultaneous outbreaks. One in

disease got its name. The current outbreak in West Africawas notified in March 2014,

the intense story of The Battle of Thermopylae. He is a fictional and nonfictional
historical writer and usually writes novels on the perspectives of warriors of ancient
Greece, so he would be a reliable and qualified writer on this subject. This battle is
one of the most famous battles in history that was fought in ancient Greece, this story
takes place in the hot summer of 480 BC and the story is told in the perspectives

The Rope sees a better meaning to its life instead of causing evil and doing wrong

evidence of the ropes humble sympathy twins wasn t made for this. I should be

Evolution of the Brain
In Revenge of the Nerds the author, Steven Pinker, begins by arguing for his claim
that there were four main traits that helped develop primates casual reasoning that
eventually led them to evolve into the humans we are today. These four traits are
vision, group living, use of hands, and hunting. Pinker provides each trait with several
reasons and factual evidence, including a chart, on its contributions to casual
reasoning. Later in the article, however, Pinker focuses on his main claim which
questions the timeline for human brain evolution. The first trait that Pinker mentions
is vision. He argues that the reason that vision makes a difference is due to depth ...

Pinker provides evidence that through evolution, upright posture may have evolved
under selection pressures, eventually leading to the reshaping of our bones that
allowed use of our hands. Pinker s reason for this claim is that monkeys and gorillas,
with their upright posture, have frequent use for their hands which leads to his
warrant that Precision hands and precision intelligence co evolved in the human
lineage, and the fossil record shows that hands let the way Pinker (194). Pinker
believes the last main contribution was hunting. His main reason for this claim is the
nutrients that hunting provides. Pinker mentions evidence to this statement by
stating all of the advantages to eating meat, including that this pure protein contains
amino acids, energy rich fat, and dispensable fatty acids, as well as stating how the
act of hunting requires a lot of skill which helps with brain development. His
warrant for this claim is that hunting was a necessity for our ancestors, as it provided

Essay on The Need for More Comprehensive Training of...
In his article Lack of Skills Leads to Violence , James J. Fyfe states that with
training...more comparable to that provided social workers, schoolteachers,
psychologists and lawyers , police would become more adept at preventing violence.
I believe this to be true, yet I think that many policedepartments confuse quantity
with quality, and divert funding to the wrong places in an effort to better themselves.
Training needs to be at the forefront of any reform. A police force that is educated
and experienced, with knowledge of the community will be much more successful at
preventing violence.
Most would agree that departments need more funding. However, there are
discrepancies regarding where to place these funds. Police ... Show more content on

Lawyers and psychologists require even more schooling, a minimum of around
eight years. Police officers end up being all of these things, and more. To obtain the
real goal of law, and prevent crime, officers must have the trust and respect of the
community they serve. Instead, policing has been defined as uneducated people s
work (Fyfe, 262). Many citizens feel that the people protecting them are not as smart
as they are. This leads to disrespect, and a sense of superiority within the community.
With disrespect comes uncooperation, something any department would be worlds
better without. If officers were required to obtain more basic schooling, and focus on
social issues and psychology more during training, they would be better equipped to
take up the position of law enforcement in any community. Besides the obvious
benefit of being more adept at dealing with citizens, there would be added bonuses in
police departments requiring more strenuous schooling. With four years of general
education, officers would inherently become acquainted with a wide range of topics
that they might not otherwise be exposed to with the minimal curriculum now
required. Foreign language, art, and psychology classes would be especially useful in
exposing up and comers to the varied environments they might encounter in their
careers. Most importantly, people in the community would have a new respect for the
Six Perspectives In Psychology
In psychology there are six perspectives: psychoanalytic, humanistic, behaviorism,
cognitive, behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, and cultural. Each of these six
perspective contribute to love and I will be explain how as well as giving a few
examples for each. The first perspective I will be explaining is the theory that
Sigmund Freud founded, psychoanalytic. Psychoanalytic is an approach in psychology
that links psychological processes to activities in the nervous system and other
bodily processes. (Schacter, 2015, p. 8). The amygdala is the part of our nervous
system that is connected with emotions; for example the feeling of loveis coming
from the amygdala. An example that happened to me of psychoanalytic is, One day I
was hanging out with my friend John after getting out of a long term relationship
with my ex boyfriend Joe. John took me out to the movies that Joe would always

9) Humanistic psychology is study a person as a whole not just that person view on
themselves but, the person observing view on them as well. Every human wants to
feel like they re loved. For example if you see your boyfriend tells you he s not
feeling any love from you they might view you as maybe selfies because they think
the always make sure you feel love. Behaviorism psychology is, The idea that
psychology should restrict itself to studying objectively observable behavior. (
Schacter, 2015, p 10.) All behavior is learned from a persons environment. For
example a mother who has a child at a young age is more likely to have the same
happen to there child then someone who a child in there late 20 s early 30 s. If a
single parent brings a lot of different boyfriend/girlfriend s around there kids then
when the kid is older they will probably date a lot of people because they learned this

Analysis Of The Poem Bueno Dias Senorita
The bright morning sun cascaded into the exquisite bedroom, the early light
dancing onto the vanilla colored adobe walls. The climate was formidably arid, not
a hint of moisture lingered in the air and still, no breeze dared stir this early spring
day in southern California. Despite it being early May and early morning the
temperature was easily loitering over 80 degrees. Yes, it was going to be horribly
uncomfortable today. However the young Spanish womanwhom resided in this often
hostile environment languidly stretched upon rising from her slumber. She would
have California no other way. She had been born here, a 3rd generation Californiano,
the daughter of a grand ranchero who owned the famed Rancho San Rafael. The
lovely Hispanic girlrose from her bed and gently strolled over to the window seat
taking a seat and staring romantically overlooking the mint green landscape. Bueno
Dias Senorita. An older voice echoed within the room as the heavy walnutdoor swung
open. Bueno Dias. The young woman cheerfully replied, her eyes now closed as she
relished the sunlight that danced upon her face. From across the room the older
woman smiled in amusement, she had raised this young woman from infancy, and
although not her mother, she enjoyed the girl s company as if she were. Your father
is looking much better today. He has asked for your company this morning. The
matronly woman conversed warmly. The young Spanish girl smiled and turned her
attention from the sunlight back

based on context, and the structures of resulting indexes for the purpose of searching
them. For the discussion assignment, I needed to cover the differences between
BSBI and SPIMI. For our programming assignment, we needed to make some
alterations to a SPIMI python program to create an index and list of documents.

I am feeling pretty good about the class still. A lot of the techniques we are learning
about for efficient, accurate, and helpful searching of a corpus I find very interesting.
I need to take some more time to review the indexer Python code we were supplied
so I feel completely comfortable with how it is achieving the indexing.
Describe what you learned.
Particularly the handling of misspelled search terms or wildcard items was the thing
that I feel like I really took away from this week. Certainly, the index creation
techniques were learned but I think that to really strongly grasp those I just need to
get more hands on experience with their implementation. The things I learned about
for managing search terms I feel like I could, at least conceptually, immediately apply.
What surprised me or caused me to wonder?
I found the technique of the permuterm indexing especially of note. While it seems
like it results in a massive index it was interesting to think of how that could be
applied along with other ideas to mitigate human imperfections for searches.

should be allowed to use the bathroom during lunch because they need to wash up,
to use it for emergencies, and to use it if you all of the sudden need to use it during

What Conditions Do You Need To Grow Rice
Has there been any minds in this world that thought of breaking a permanent logic?
If there is, it would simply turn into a ridiculous joke from someone s eyes, but
from a certain person s sight is a delicacy, deeply craving for an answer. Rice
farming has been a traditional part of living since the old days. It has become an
essential part of humanity s survival, progress, and growth. From plains to mountains
to the hills to desolate lands, it has been grown in different places like in Japan.
Many believe that riceis a seasonal plant that can only grow in one season and
growing it in any other season will only diminish its growth and led to failure.
However with the current changes of living, it eventually made people think
farther and in a different way that it became unreasonable. It is possible to grow
rice in any season because it depends on the land condition, other country can grow
it, and having proper material, resources, layout, and planning. The condition of
the land is an important factor for growing rice. According to Brian Barth from
What Conditions Do You Need To Grow Rice , he stated the growing rice should
be kept weed free, has moisturize soil and is well fertilized with a source of
nitrogen . Brian Barth gave away the essential requirements of a good plot of land
where rice can grow without relying to the season. The weeds remove for spaces, the
wet soil that provides nutrients and both the fertilizerand nitrogen for further
nourishment of the rice

Gender Roles In The Han Dynasty
Within the Han Dynasty, there were three different social levels: emperor and their
family, skilled workers (farmers and merchants), and unskilled workers (servants
and slaves). These three classes were determined by social and economic standings
within each family. The gender roles within the region saw that women were not
viewed as equally as men, for the women s major role was to birth raise children,
and take care of the household. The social class system in the Han Dynastycan be
closely compared to the caste system in present day India since the unskilled are at
the bottom while the more highly people are at the top.

Using The Personal Task Management Software On
Computers...
1.Background Rationale
In contemporary society, many people are overwhelmed by the number of tasks
that need to be accomplished [1], this tasks are of different types, ranging from
daily based such as meetings at work, and non daily based buying groceries after
work. To help ourselves to remember these tasks, basic practices are to take notes on
the paper based day planners or post it and to use the personal task management
software on computers and/or smartphones. As smartphones are used as an
alternatives to personal computers, taking notes on smartphones is getting more and
more popular [1].
Similar to programs on a personal computer, applications can downloaded and
installed on a smartphone. Similar to a personal computer there exists a wide
selection of proprietary and open source mobile operating system platforms, out of
these smartphone operating systems, the most prominent ones being Apples iOS,
Googles Android, Symbian from Symbian foundation, RIM blackberry OS and
Windows mobile from Microsoft [2].
This project focuses on developing a mobile application, Locale Reminder for
Google s Android operating system. Majority of smartphone manufacturers such as
Samsung, Motorola and HTC have adopted Android as operating system for their
products. As indicated by App Brain statistics, there are more than 1.4 million
applications accessible as of November 2014, of which more than 1.2 million are free
and more than 0.2 million are paid. On July 24, 2013 Google declared
What Makes The Walt Disney Company Competitive
Successful companies such as the Walt Disney Company, along with its subsidiaries,
always face tough competition across their numerous markets. Competition is not
only restricted to products and services; each Disney segment also competes against
other companies for talent. Recruiting creative and skilled workers, and retain them
is what makes the Walt Disneycompany leader within the industry.
Disney Parks and Resorts business main competitors are Comcast Corp which owns
the Universal Studios theme parks, Six Flags Entertainment, and Cedar Fair, to name
a few. The Disney Cruise Line and its Disney Vacation Club brand compete with
Carnival Corp in areas that also include entertainment, lodging, tourism and
recreational activities.

Akhenaten Sun God Analysis
The Author s (Akhenaten, the sun God) purpose was that Akhenaten wanted
everyone to only believe and worship one god. He wanted everyone to trust in only
one God, and that God of course, was Aten the sun god. The story of Aten was that
he wanted to change everyone s beliefs into the same as his own.The people of
Egypt was forced to change from a polytheistic religion, the worship of many gods.
He believed that all good things are connected to the sun, in which is said to create
life and well being. He achieved the purpose by changing people s beliefs but soon
after he died, his ideas were abandoned and and people moved back to their original
city. Even though Akhenatens son tried to keep the religion going.

Akhenaten sees the sun as his one and only god and for example Christians they
see God as their one and only god. Aten is the sun god and Akhenaten walks the
reader through his belief of what his god does. The short story is trying to persuade
the readers to worship Aten and become monotheistic (which means to worship only
one God, similar to Christianity). The poem is trying to persuade the readers to pick
a certain God they want to follow. So in comparison between the short story and
poem is to only worship one God.
This Hymn could take place at any point in time because Aten is everlasting. Even if
there was a great revelation happening, Akhenaten would attribute it to Aten.
However, the setting would change the entire tone of the hymn. This hymn deals
with things that are new and glorious, but if one were to change the setting to a
revelation, it would deal with death and destruction. The only major difference
between the story and the poem is that in Rebellion you are free to choose what god
you would want to follow, but in the story Akhenaten forces his people to give up
other gods in order to only worship
Freud s Trust Vs. Miss Trust Theory
Half of the infants in the United States today have employed mothers, twice the
proportion that there were in 1970. Studies on the affect of mothers going back to
work have been varied and have thus for lead to interpretations of the results. The
mothers and infants relationship has a central part in a lot of theories on an infants
trust development. Freud s trust vs. miss trust theory is an example of this. Infants
must learn to trust their caregivers to meet their needs. Responsive parenting is
critical. (Pg 38, Life span and development, Text book). Freud theory focused on the
importance of the individuals early experience with the family. He believed that an
infant s early experience went on to contribute to the individual s adult personality.
The following studies data is based of a one time assessment session. This research
found by (refecence 3) has found that infants still form attachments with their mothers
who work full time. Although they did argue that these infants are more likely to
form an insecure relationship with their mothers compared to mothers who did not
work or worked part time. This then posses the risk that working mothers are at risk
of having a emotional insecurity as the infants may perceive the parents absence as a
rejection. This could be disturbing because of the development of coping strategies
leading to anger and mistrust with the mother. Other study that have been done to try
and compare infants trust with working or non working
Auto Drivers Research Paper
Today, auto technology on sale allows cars to see all around, gathering data on
possible roadway concerns and giving driver s eyes in the back of their heads.
Since more than 90 percent of crashes involve driver error, automakers created a
range of safety systems that aid drivers for brief periods to help avoid accidents.
Driver assist systems include lane departure and blind spot warnings, adaptive cruise

Essay A. Marcello Oboe Concerto in D Minor

From the journal of Antonio Vivaldi
December 12, 1717
As noted in a previous journal entry, I had made a trip to Cöthen where the great
composer, Johann Sebastian Bach, is under the service of Prince Leopold. There I
heard a recent keyboard transcription of Bach s. The transcription was of a piece
called Concerto in D minor for Oboe, Strings and Basso Continuo. Bach listed the
composer as the well known Venetian composer Benedetto Marcello. As I listened to
the piece, I was captured by the simple yet eloquent melodies that were presented
but I also was curious as I had not known of Benedetto to write for oboe. I also know
that Marcello stated, Oboes, flutes, trumpets, bassoons, etc., will always be out of ...

There are three Marcello brothers, Alessandro, Benedetto and Girolamo, who were
born of nobility here in Venice. Benedetto is well known for his music. Alessandro
composes also but his interests actually lie more with philosophy, mathematics,
history, chemistry, painting and poetry. Alessandro has a small body of work in
music. This is probably due to him being much more of a figure head in the
Venetian government since his father passed away in 1707. Benedetto has a much
larger body of work composing of many instrumental and sacred vocal pieces. I
recalled that considering the academic pursuits of the Marcellos, that it was possible
that they were members of the Arcadian colony. The Arcadians were a new
movement of intellectuals that emphasized the respect of artistic achievement and a
return to the Greek ideals that music and poetry worked together. They also wished
to avoid lavish displays and encouraged simplicity. The Arcadians would also use
pseudonyms and I discovered that the pseudonym of Eterio Stinfalico belonged to
Alessandro Marcello.
Now that I learned who the true author was, I went to seek out Alessandro. It is
typical of nobles such as the Marcello to conduct concerts in their home. I went to the
Palazzo Marcello and discovered a concert was being performed that had the concerto
on its program. The oboist was unknown to me. The audience contained mostly

The Competitive Advantages Of SME In Malaysia
SME in Malaysia can be determined based on employee head count and their sales
turn over. By definition, SMEs are easier to manage than large companies in many
aspect of the management. By this, logistic can be a great tool for SMEs to increase
their efficiency and effectiveness in business activity. Logistic in SME can be divided
into customer service, demand forecasting and planning, inventorymanagement,
procurement, material handling, packaging, warehousing, transportation or even
more. All of these aspects in logistic can increase the competitive advantage for SME

Some of SME may require for packaging while other SME may require for
warehouse storage. There are several advantages for SME to use third party
logistic. Frist is cost and time saving, this is the greatest advantage for
manufacturing or selling product SME. Third party logistic has greater knowledge
and equipment to support their logistic service compared with non logistic based
SME. Thus, SME do not need to purchase more equipment, storage place or
increase human resource to process their products. Second advantage is focus, 3PL
will prepare and solve all the logistic problem for SME so that SME can focus on
their core business. Thirdly is flexibility, 3PL can be more flexible in distributing the
products to different region since they have a strategic location for their warehouse
and distributing centre. SME business can expand and grow in different region when
their products are able to distribute to other region or market without

Polytheism In Ancient Egyptian Religion
Egypt had their own strong religious beliefs and believed that worshipping gods
and goddesses should be an everyday thing. Many Egyptian religious customs
mostly focused on what happened after people have died. Like Mesopotamians, the
Egyptians practiced and learned how to use polytheism in their everyday life. Each
village worshipped its own gods, so the Egyptiansbuilt temples to the gods all over
the kingdom. The temples collected payments that were both from the government
and the worshippers. Many Egyptian gods were a mixture of human and animal
forms. Most of the Egyptian religionalways focused on what happened after people
died which is called the afterlife. The Egyptians believed the afterlife was a happy
place full of joy. The paintings

Storing nail polish in the bathroom is one of the biggest mistakes people make. And

Lonnie And His Wife Monologue
Pathological lying is a behavior of habitual or compulsive lying. Induvial are aware
they are lying but begging to believe they are telling the truth over time. We see this
specifically with the main character Lonnie. Lies are obstacles that harm one s
internal states of life which makes one unable to communicate with others. Was lying
going to sharpen his and his wife s relationship, make his addictiongo away of even
make his past come back? Lies are used to avoid hurting others and the
relationships with them, they destroy trust between people. Throughout the
passage we see Lonnie destroy his relationships with his wife. His lying goes
deeper than not wanting to go to work. It goes way back to his young days when
he was in the band. Lonnie is depressed because his dream of becoming famous
didn t exactly work out for him. His wife is disappointed in him and he is unhappy
with his life. He begging s to rely on alcohol to take away his pain of not being
good enough. Although addiction can be very hard to overcome this doesn t make
it an excuse for Lonnie to act out the way he does. As a man, he needs to deal with
his problems head on. He has a wife and daughter to care and provide for. It was by
nine o clock I had my first drink this quote from the passage shows us that Lonnie
has a drinking problem. He is so caught up in the past and idolizes over it. Sadly, he
can t face the fact that times have changed, he has grown up and he isn t a young

Purifying A Compound Of Benzoic Acid
Introduction
The purpose of this lab was to purify a compound of benzoic acid through the
process of recrystallization. This was done in a couple steps, first dissolved the
product to be recrystallized in hot solvent then filtered off impurities, then filtered to
isolate the crystals from the recrystallizing solvent [1]. For this method to work there
were many different theories that play a role, one of the theories is solubility.
Solubility is a chemical property that a solute is able to dissolve in a solvent [2].
This plays a huge role in the experiment as the first step was to dissolve the crude
benzoic acid in water. Solubility was important because if the crude benzoic acid did
not dissolve within the solvent then the impurities would ... Show more content on

In the first step the benzoic acid had to be dissolved in the solvent, water, so that the
impurities can separate from the benzoic acid. Next, the solution was cooled slightly
to add decolorizing charcoal in order to remove the impurities. Then, the solution was
heated up again for 20 minutes. Then, the solution was filtered so the charcoal
wouldn t be in the final product. Finally, when filtering with the Buchner funnel the
water was cooled this was used to prevent the benzoic acid from dissolving in the
water and being flushed away with the rest of the water.
The melting point of benzoic acid is 122.35 В°C [5]. The melting point determined
from the experiment is a range from 118В°C 120В°C. The reason for the
experiment producing a melting range compared to a melting point is due to
impurities as well for the reason of a lower melting point [1]. Impurities within the
product lowers the melting point due to intermolecular forces, this causes benzoic
acid to not have as strong of a bond together in its crystal structure as there are
impurities in the way. This allows a lower level of heat to melt the benzoic

Which bring us to Sinek s other point impatience and how millennials expect instant
gratification and instant praise from doing minimal work.
Millennials are faced with a challenge of instant gratification , Sinek suggests that
millennials can have whatever they want whenever they want. Personally, I believe
he is missing a key point; most young people have been impatient since the beginning
of time. Worst case scenario is we re seeing an increase in suicide rates. The best
case scenario is you have an entire population growing up and going through life
and just never really finding joy, they ll never really find deep, deep fulfillment in
work or in life. In my view, the fact that most young people have impatience is a
good thing; they will have the drive to help change the world. I happen to believe
there is far too much patience in the workplace and school right now. We keep
teaching young adults the same thing repeatedly instead of speeding up the process
and teaching them to move forward and wanting to complete tasks faster is a good
thing. I was impatient in my current job and kept pushing for what I wanted and
was promoted to a management position in less than a year of working for the
company, bypassing that have worked there for year who were patiently waiting for
an opportunity to fall into their laps. The world is changing now and we need to
change with it.
Critical Book Review Essay
To begin, I feel the need to state that this book was slightly hard to digest. I realize
that I am meant to elaborate on whether or not I agree with Joseph Nevins thesis, but
to be honest, I was rather confused as to what that thesis is. The author jumped
around quite a bit, giving the reader extensive background information and lessons in
history and geography, and yet, he managed to tie everything back to the main story
of Julio Cesar Gallagos. I think that, perhaps, the extraneous information might have
drawn too much attention away from Julio s story, and therefore, I found myself
becoming detached and uncertain of Nevins central argument. Basically, I have
concluded that Nevins is a humanist. I believe that the main point of... Show more

Nevins admits that he felt paralyzed in this situation, despite being outraged .
However, an older man in a suit and tie began to yell at the Border Patrol agents,
comparing their behavior to that which he had witnessed during the time period of
the Nazis. In short, these Spanish speaking individuals were being treated as
criminals, or as Nevins states, permanent outsiders (Nevins, p. 177). This was a
very compelling passage, and it jogged my memory back to a time where I was
returning from visiting some friends in San Marcos, California. On this occasion, I
saw for the first time, yellow traffic signs on the side of the freeway that portrayed
silhouettes of a man, woman, and child holding hands in a running motion, with the
word Caution posted above. To this day, that image haunts me. That horrid traffic sign
is probably still there, warning the people of Southern California that immigrants are
some kind of potential threat or something to be afraid of. Additionally, I think that
the majority of people who want to abolish illegal immigration, are not worried about
the dangers that individuals like Julio face, but are concerned with their own safety
from these outsiders. Nevins seems to capture this idea in his statement: ...Combined
with the state s power to mold the collective mind set of its citizenry to distinguish

Comparison of William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily and...
The two short stories A Rose for Emily and The Yellow Wallpaper are two very
similar but at the same time very different. The main characters Emily Grierson,
from William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily , and the narrator, from Charlotte
Perkins Gilman s The Yellow Wall Paper, are both in the same boat that many
women were placed in the late 1800 s and the early 1900 s. Both of these two
stories were written in a generation that women were looked downed upon and
made to feel less important than males. I feel these two stores are similar in terms
of where women stood in society at that time and how society affected emotional
downfalls in both of these main characters. These women are both the protagonists
of each of those two stories who both go from being extremely depressed and
lonely to absolutely insane. However, these stories are written in totally different
point of views which creates two totally different outlooks. A rose for Emily is
written in third person while Yellow Wallpaper is written in first person. Also, the
characters are different in terms of that they have two completely different
personalities. The two authors ideas in both of these stories focus on how women are
looked down upon in different situations and generations in society at that time of
history. The Yellow Wallpaper is written in first person, which kind of gives it a
personal dairy feel into the characters mindset that is suffering from post partum
depression but the main

The production of law enforcement cameras on police officers should be highly
enforced. In South Carolina a police officer was charged with murder after shooting
an unarmed man during a traffic stop. Somehow, someone caught everything on tape.
Michael T. Slager was running for his life when a police officer shot him 8 times in
the back. The officer said he had feared for his life because the man had taken his
gun and in the video it clearly showed the man had no weapons. Normally, police
officers wouldn t get caught or taken to jail for things like this because of their lies.
If police officers were to get body cameras placed on their uniforms we could see the
truth. Keeping cameras on police officers can lower death rates.
Vladimir Lenin And The Soviet Revolution
Vladimir Lenin has proven to be a difficult figure to place in history. Some choose
to view him as one of the most influential political leaders in history, while others
allow him to fade off into the past. Lenin s image also greatly depends on where
one lives. In the western half of the world, Lenin is viewed as a man of destruction,
and Winston Churchill called him The Grand Repudiator. In other parts of the world,
he is viewed as a man who tried to make the best out of a failing situation. Lenin was
a revolutionary intellectual who establish the Bolshevik Party (later renamed the
Communist Party). He was the leader of the Bolshevik Revolution, and, therefore,
began the first government of the Soviet Union. Lenin became leader of the USSR in
1922 and ruled until his death in 1924, when Joseph Stalin assumed power. Though
many argue that Lenin started one of the worst governments in history, Russian
Communism, Lenin actually provided a solution for the troubling times in Russia. In
the 1890, Lenin quit his job as a lawyer and moved to St. Petersburg where he
became involved with a group of radicals that supported the ideas of Karl Marx. In
1903 at the Second Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party
(RSDLP), Lenin and his fellow radicals argued for the development of a new
political party that was tight knit and limited in number. This party would be highly
involved in organizational work. Later in 1904 1905 when Russia went to war with
Japan, and
The Iraq War On The United States
Austin Dever
English Paper
The Iraq war had a lot of different causes and effects on the United States. There has
been a lot of controversy about why we started the War; a big theory is that we
entered the war over oil because Iraq wouldn t let America buy oil. Another big
reason is because of the 911 attacks on the World Trade Center. Combined force of
troops from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Poland, invaded.
Hard fought war which concluded with the capture of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad by
American troops. The main reason is that the United States and the United Kingdom
thought Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, which they didn t.
A lot of it had to do with the ending of the gulf war. But let s take a few steps back
and let me explain why the Gulf war had such a big impact leading up to the 10 year
Iraq war. So there were a lot of different names for the Gulf war such as Desert
storm, Desert Shield, Etc. For this Paper I will just be calling it the Gulf war. The
main reason why the Gulf war s even happen was because Iraq decided to invade
Kuwait for whatever reason. The problem with that is the United States and other
major power nations of the world didn t like that. Reasons to believe the United
States had the biggest problem with it and asked other power nations to join in the
fight to liberate Kuwait from Iraqi troops. So nations like the United Kingdom,
Egypt all joined the U.S. to start an Arial attack which is bombing by

identity by mirroring people he admires. However, these
mirrors actually block him from finding his true self. He falls in love with women
whose personalities intrigue him; he mimics the actions of men he looks up to.
Eleanor Savage and Burne Holiday serve as prime examples of this. Until
Amory loses his pivotal mirror, Monsignor Darcy, he searches for his soul in all the

Eleanor and Amory hate each other after this realization, but the hatred has a good
quality in that Amory understands that he had loved himself in Eleanor, so now
what he hated was only a mirror (218). Choosing to emulate Eleanor s dementia
proved to be a bad decision along the course of Amory s search for himself. He sees
his own defunct image in this mirror, and it frightens him.
It causes him to temporarily loathe himself as well as Eleanor, but it also teaches him
that he needs to become an individual. While this idea exists in
Amory s mind, it does not strike him full force until the death of Monsignor
Darcy.
Monsignor Darcy seems to be an odd choice for a role model for Amory since
Amory continually refers to himself as a paganist (209). However, it is not
surprising that Amory idolizes the Monsignor not only because his pagan talk is
superficial, but also because Beatrice held the Monsignor in the highest regard.
Amory does not mean he believes in paganism when he refers to himself as
paganist; he does not know himself well enough to know whether or not he believes
in God. Rather he means he experiences what could be called a paganism of the soul:
he has no soul, therefore nothing exists for him to, figuratively, worship, or
technically, with which to worship. Amory looks up to Monsignor
Darcy because he epitomizes what Amory wishes he could be; passively he
A Romanticized View Of Their Ancestors
In southern fiction there are many characters to be found that possess heroic, or
idealized, views of their ancestors. These same characters are often times burdened
by, or feel responsible for, the legacy left behind by their families. The ancestor s
beliefs are like ghost constantly haunting characters in southern literature. Fennell
aptly quotes Faulkner in her article writing:
No man is himself, he is the sum of his past. There is no such things really as was
because the past is. It is part of every man, every woman, and every moment. All of
his or her ancestry, background, is all a part of himself and herself at any moment.
And so a man, a character in a story at any moment of action is not just himself as he
is then, he is all that made him. (Fennell 37)
It is seemingly impossible to separate the past from the present among characters in
southern literature. In this paper I will examine three characters and their
romanticized view of their ancestors, as well as their burden. I will be considering
Gail Hightower and Joanna Burden in William Faulkner s Light in August, and
Cheyenne Cotterell in Tiya Miles The Cherokee Rose: A Novel of Gardens Ghosts.
All three of these characters idealize their ancestors while simultaneously feeling
burdened as a result of it.
In Faulkner s Light in August Gail Hightower, an outcast reverend, is heavily

Sacagawea s Impact On The Lewis And Clark Expedition
Sacagawea s help on the Lewis and Clark Expedition Makes it a Success All across
America people know the name of Sacagawea, the Indian interpreter for the Lewis
and Clark expedition. Sacagawea was known for being the only woman on the
expedition, but many people may not know all the reasons as to how she survived
being the only woman. She became strong through all of the events that happened to
her. Sacagawea, the only woman on the Lewis and Clark expedition, survived because
of events that happened to her at a young age and because of her good interpreting
skills. Sacagawea, also known as Bird woman, was the daughter of a Shoshonechief(
A Fine Boy ). Sacagawea s tribe, the Shoshone, was a very poor tribe(Patrick,
Mcgrath). She was born in either 1788 or in 1789(Patrick, Mcgrath). Sacagawea
was captured by the Hidatsa Indians at the young age of 12 and she was also raised
by them( A Fine Boy ). Because she was the daughter of an Indian tribe, she made
the expedition a success and was able to accompany Lewis and Clark on their return
back to their own country(Fisher,Doris,pg 14). The expedition may not have been a
success without the courage and the knowledge of Sacagawea(Kelly, Stephanie,p 9).

They discovered 24 Indian tribes, 178 plants, and 122 animals which were unknown
to the United States at that time. Some of the animals that were discovered were
ones such as the pronghorn antelope, the bull snake, the tern, the prairie dog, the
jackrabbit, the grouse, the pelican, the porcupine, and the coyote. They also got
rewarded some land in the end. Clark was offered 1,000 acres by Congress and Lewis
was offered 1,600 acres. Lewis refused because he said that he had promised Clark
that they would get an equal amount of reward. So after Lewis made this argument,
Congress awarded Lewis and Clark both with 1,600 acres of land (Patrick,

Functional Analysis Of Present Trade Compliance Process
Essay
4. Functional Analysis of Present Trade Compliance Process Study of the Supply
Chain Risk associated to Trade Compliance. The functional analysis is analyzing
the function of the business process, a function is defined by author Modell as a
series of relative activities, involving more than one entities, performed for the
direct or indirect, purpose of fulfilling one or more mission or objectives of the
firm . Modell also explains that a function should have following characteristics
like i.Identifiable ii. Definable in terms of responsibility iii. Definable in terms of
activity iv. Definable in terms of accountability The function also has the freedom
to be any part of the business process, it can be a major control process, it can
contain more sub functions, can be performed in multiple or single area, can be
performed by individual or a group of people and can have dependent or independent
activities. A business function has two main categories based on the level where it s
acting business and administrative, support or overhead. The business category is

An Analysis Of Gregory Mobley s The Return Of The Chaos
Chaos: the state of the universe before there was order and before stars and planets
were formed (Merriam Webster). As defined, this state of disarray existed before
existence of life itself was even possible. Hence, the chaos was a precursor for the
opportunity of a higher being to take control of the universe. This is where the Old
Testamentcomes into play in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
From that point on, the plotthickens as the characters battle to find order hidden
amongst worldly turmoil. Throughout the Old Testament, each character struggled
with the underlying issue of making meaning from the chaos of experience, the
human condition (Mobley 2). However, many fail to realize that these people and
plot twists of the biblical stories commonly reoccur time after time throughout history.
In The Return of the Chaos Monsters and other backstories of the Bible, Gregory
Mobley exhibits how the 7 backstories have been strikingly similar to other
infamous stories. His underlying theme of proving this connection between biblical
stories and stories passed on since then was well supported by his method of close
inspection of the text from peculiar perspectives. Overall, Mobley effectively
conveys the duo of order and chaos in order to explain how the Old Testament
functions as a storybook through the use of modern day examples and a
conversational writing style that made the book enjoyable to read. At first, I was
unfamiliar with a book title that

California Politics and Government California is the wealthiest and most diverse
state in the country. Just like the National government, California is comprised of
three branches; Legislative, Executive and Judicial. The legislative branch is the
largest, and is made up of the state Senate and Assembly. The Assembly consists of
eighty representatives, one from each county, to serve for up to three two year terms.
The California Senate holds forty Senators, who are allowed a maximum of two four
year terms. The Executive branch consists of the state Governor and a group of
elected constitutional officers. The final branch, the Judicial branch, is made up of
California s supreme court, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We see that the passage of these initiatives affected the ability of the legislature to
create important policies. Proposition 140 is a reform initiative that drastically
changed the fundamentals of the legislative system. This proposition halted the
cycle of institutional knowledge for legislators who become experts in certain
policies. They are barred from running for office once the term limit is fulfilled. In
the bigger picture, legislative committee leaders are sometimes new legislators who
do not have expertise in the policy. This is problematic because lack of expertise
hinders the creation of innovative and effective policy. Proposition 140 created a
better over turn thus, giving minorities and women the chance to represent their
constituents; the point of the term limit was to repopulate the legislature. By creating
this constant repopulation, it allows expertise to be achieved by legislators but it
bars them to contribute into policy making once their term limit is achieved.
Proposition 118 on the other hand intends to change the composition of the
legislature but makes it harder for redistricting to occur. By passing Proposition 118,
the legislature will not be able to represent the people of California accurately; thus,
creating policy problems since enacted policies will not
How Did Andrew Carnegie s Impact On American Society
During the mid nineteenth century, two symbolic icons of industrial growth and
entrepreneurial finesse, Andrew Carnegie who built an enormous steel corporation,
and John D. Rockefeller creator of Standard Oil, both dominated their respective
industries and impacted American society in terms of supplying necessary goods like
steel and petroleum, employment opportunity, philanthropic causes which set
precedents not only for significant strides of government oversight on big business,
but also toward fair labor practices.
Andrew Carnegie, a poor Scottish immigrant at the age of 12 in 1848, wasted little
time engaging his talent for success. Beginning as a bobbin boy in a textile mill, he

Rockefeller set up pools of multiple businesses that fixed prices and production
quotas, and by 1879, had seized 90% of the oil refining capacity. He established the

companies, and an arrangement of stockholders who held trust certificates. Through
this absorption and cooperative management of rival companies, Rockefeller
controlled the petroleum industry horizontally as well as vertically through control of
costs and
Attractive Faces Lab
Abstract
In the experiment, the experimenters studied the effect attractive faces had on
newborn infants. The experimenters hypothesis was blank. They tested their
hypothesis by measuring the time newborn infants looked at attractive and
unattractive faces. From the finding of this experiment, it was found that newborn
infants prefer upright attractive faces. To go further with their findings, they tested
the effect the orientation of attractive face had on the newborn infants by using the
inversion effect. Overall, they found that newborn infants prefer upright attractive
faces.
The hypothesis for this experiment was that newborn infants would look longer at
attractive faces than unattractive faces because they are more symmetrical. They ...

The experiments design was conducted well. Since the experimenters chose all
Caucasian newborn infants, it was a good idea to use Caucasian faces because that
is a face they are most used to. Also, it was a good idea to use female faces instead
of males faces because the newborn infant spend months in their mothers stomach
and have a connection with females since the females are the parents who care for
the newborn infants the most and are more likely to stay at home with them. For
example, females breast feeding newborn infants and staying at home with the
newborn infant longer after their maternity leave is over. Once it was known that
attractive faces are preferred over unattractive faces, seeing if the orientation of the
face changes the looking time is important. It is important because from the findings
of this experiment, we can relate it to the attractiveness adults see in other adults.
Adults who are more attractive and have a symmetrical face are preferred over
others. This experiment also brought up a good fact that, no matter what age you are,
it is harder to distinguish a face if inverted. This experiment overall not only provides
information about newborn infants perception, it provides a basis for development.
We can use this information and connect it to development from birth to
Martin Luther King s Contribution To The Civil Rights...
In October Atlanta students convinced Martin Luther King jr to participate at a sit in
at Rich s which was a local department store. King and 300 other students were
arrested, the students were later released from jail but king remained in Georgia state
prison until President John f. Kennedy and his campaign manager/brother Robert
Kennedy helped secure his release. Their intervention contributed to his narrow
victory over Richard Nixon in the presidential election. By the end of 1960 the civil
rights movement had been transformed by independent student protest movements as
well as assistance by the NAACP allowed the victory of the civil rights acts in North
Carolina. Birmingham, Alabama 1963 In April 1963 Martin Luther King jr and the...

supported The Congress of Racial Equality, or CORE in an attempt to desegregate
Albany and with the help of the Attorney General ordered the Interstate Commerce
Commission, or ICC, to ban segregation in interstate travel, thus giving official
federal support to the Freedom Rides. The Albany Movement, as it came to be
known was a movement which martin Luther king became heavily involved in a
protest already in progress. This is what he had done in Montgomery and with the
Freedom Riders as well. The SNCC had already started voter registration centres in
the heavily segregated city, and this had provided a base of operations for various sit
ins and protests in Albany. King stepped in when he felt that the movement could not
afford to give up any more of its members to the prisons and their efforts
Describe The Sculpture Of Trajan
This sculpture comes from the Romans, specifically, the era of high imperial art.
During this era, Rome was ruled by Trajan during 98 117 CE, which is also the time
period for this sculpture. The lighting is slightly dramatic, creating stark lights and
darks in the figure. It gives it a sense of authority. The hair is in the Roman style, and
is similar to that of Augustus. This marble sculpture s head is of the emperor
Trajan, and it was a bust of some sort. However, the nude body was later added. The
sculpture is in a variation of contrapposto, with the the right arm contracted and
fingers spread out. The full open sculpture makes Trajan seem more youthful, which
applies more culturally to the Greeks, who are concerned with beauty and

  • 2. Desire In Ethan Frome First Draft Desire inflates, when the fulfillment is illicit. The tragic romance Ethan Frome is written by Edith Wharton and was published 1911 in Paris. It is about a poor young farmer that lives near Massachussets in the stodgy town of Starkfield. He is unhappily married to his older wife Zeena, who has a fictitious illness. When they invite Zeenas bankrupt cousin to come and live with them to help out in their family, Ethan unfortunately falls in love with her. Mattie is youthful, pleasant and beautiful; she embodies everything that Ethan ever wanted. Zeena soon realizes the attraction between Mattie and Ethan so she decides to dismiss Mattie and look for a new household helper. Just as Ethan takes Mattie to the train station they both... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ethan is attracted to his cousin Maddie, because she represents everything that he was hopelessly looking for in his wife Zeena. Even though they re not intimate with each other they still sleep in the same bed He and Zeena had not exchanged a word after the door of their room had closed on them (Wharton 56).Between Ethan and Zeena there is no more communication. Already early on in the novel, Wharton makes it clear that there is tension between Ethan and his wife. Without trust and conversation a relationship is not possible, and there is nothing to build upon. Later in the novel we have the same situation but this time it was about Mattie When the door of her room had closed on her he remembered that he had not even touched her hand (Wharton 97).Unlike with his wife Zeena, Ethan consciously remembers that he hadn t shown affection to Mattie. She s the last person he thinks about before he goes to sleep and is beginning to fall and care for her. This detail foreshadows that something vast will happen between them, as ffection is a big part of becoming close to one another. Human affection is not just extremely important

  • 4. Health Of Achieving Health And Wellness Achieving health and wellness is a highly individualized, dynamic process that is characterized by six interrelated dimensions: physical, social, intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and environmental health. The focus of this paper is my physical health as it relates to wellness. Furthermore, the objective of focusing on my physical health is to identify current health behaviors and factors that may be impacting and prohibiting me from achieving optimal physical health. Using the Transtheoretical Model for Stages of Change1 as a guide, I will identify a specific health behavior I am seeking to improve, and outline an action plan to achieve and maintain good physical health. In assessing my health behaviors, I have identified three specific behaviors that have negatively impacted my physical health: lack of physical activity, poor nutrition and inadequate sleep. The factors that I attribute to these current heath behaviors are: a lack of social support and guidance, the nutritional value of foods consumed (as related to the culture in which I was raised), and time management. I attribute my lack of physical activity to an absence of social support and guidance in my life. For example, my mother suffers with cardiovascular disease (CVD), yet rarely engages in physical activity. Five years ago, my mother had a heart attack, and underwent an angioplasty2 in order to receive a stent3. In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (2015), the American

Shamanism and the Indigenous Peoples of Siberia Essays Shamanism and the Indigenous Peoples of Siberia Shamanism plays a role within most tribal communities of the indigenous peoples of Siberia. Within the community the shaman has many roles; one of his[1][1] main roles is that of a healer. The function of the shaman is closely related to the spirit world (Eliade 71). A shamanuses ecstatic trance to communicate with spirits. Spirits are integral to a shaman s ability to heal within his community. Shamanic activity is generally a public function (Grim 11 12). The gods created man, and he lived happily until the time when the evils spirits spread sickness and death over the earth. The gods decided to give mankind a shaman to combat disease and death, and they sent the eagle. (Eliade 69) Many tribes, other than the Buryat, consider the eagle, sent by the Supreme Being, to be the creator of the first shaman . These peoples include the Yakut of Turkhansk, Yenisei Ostyak, the Teleut, and the Orochon. Therefore according to this legend, the shaman s initial purpose was to exterminate the evil spirits of sickness and death that plagued the people; in other words, one of the shaman s first purposes was to heal (Eliade 69 71). As a healer, the shaman puts energy into the community. The shaman dramatizes and makes visible the incomprehensible mystery of all existence. . . . The shaman s ritual assures the flow of such vital energy into the community . . . [with the idea that] no man can succeed in life alone, and he cannot get the help he needs from men (Vilmos Dioszegi qtd. in Grim 13). An individual needs this assistance from the higher powers of the sacred and the profane in the spirit world; this assistance can only be achieved with the guidance of the shaman. The shaman allows the community to perceive holiness of higher powers by experiencing and absorbing sustaining, healing power and communicating this power to his community. This power has a transformative quality to it that is

The reason for such policies is to maintain order and peace while also protecting certain aspects of daily life from people who might want to do harm. During the past few years many policies have been changed due to the changing world and ideologies of the people these policies protect. What does this mean for the weather forecast this afternoon and early evening? Cumulonimbus clouds are mostly affiliated with thunderstorms, lightning, heavy rainfall, blizzard or hail. The forecast should reflect rain or chances of rain. 14) What is a weather satellite and how does it help us make forecasts? A weather satellite is used by meteorologists to gather information about the weather. Weather satellites give meteorologists a view of weather patterns over a very large area. This enables meteorologists to track large weather patterns and make more accurate predictions of future weather behavior. 15) How do computers help weather forecasting? Using computers in meteorology helps weather forecasters analyze the atmosphere by drawing weather maps separately for each of several atmospheric levels. Then the computer can put it all together and generate a prediction. Can we just let the computer tell us what the weather will be without human

Vitamin D and Nutritional Rickets RICKETS For Scientific Principles and Health and Disease By: Mackenzie Gray 112 69 7540 April 7, 2010 Rickets is a disease that deals with a deficiency with Vitamin D. Vitamin D is important by controlling calcium and phosphate levels. If the blood levels of these minerals become too low, the body may produce hormones that cause calcium and phosphate to be released from the bones eventually this leads to weak and soft bones. Secondary intervention is a little different in primary to the extent that the individual actually falls into risk factors categories, and has the potential of getting the disease. This intervention is relative to the diagnosis of the disease. For example, to check to see if someone has hypertension, nurses and doctors would consistently be checking the patients blood pressure in order to diagnose the patient with hypertension. Likewise, running certain tests that were mentioned previously in this paper help to diagnose Rickets. Tertiary intervention must occur once the individual has been diagnosed with the disease and from this point forward can only fight against the disease as best as they can. At this stage in the disease you will have the disease and you can only help the disease by doing certain things to help you live longer than expected (if the disease causes fatality). For example, when a patient realizes that they have diabetes, that individual will live with that complication for the rest of his/her life. Therefore, in order for diabetic patients to live with their diabetes they must use insulin to regulate their glucose levels in the blood. In the disease of Rickets, children can only prevent Rickets from getting worse in this stage taking Vitamin D, Calcium, or Phosphorus supplements. I believe this to be true, yet I think that many policedepartments confuse quantity with quality, and divert funding to the wrong places in an effort to better themselves. Training needs to be at the forefront of any reform. A police force that is educated and experienced, with knowledge of the community will be much more successful at preventing violence. Most would agree that departments need more funding. However, there are discrepancies regarding where to place these funds. Police ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lawyers and psychologists require even more schooling, a minimum of around eight years. Police officers end up being all of these things, and more. To obtain the real goal of law, and prevent crime, officers must have the trust and respect of the community they serve. Instead, policing has been defined as uneducated people s work (Fyfe, 262). Many citizens feel that the people protecting them are not as smart as they are. This leads to disrespect, and a sense of superiority within the community. With disrespect comes uncooperation, something any department would be worlds better without. If officers were required to obtain more basic schooling, and focus on social issues and psychology more during training, they would be better equipped to take up the position of law enforcement in any community. Besides the obvious benefit of being more adept at dealing with citizens, there would be added bonuses in police departments requiring more strenuous schooling. With four years of general education, officers would inherently become acquainted with a wide range of topics that they might not otherwise be exposed to with the minimal curriculum now required. Foreign language, art, and psychology classes would be especially useful in exposing up and comers to the varied environments they might encounter in their careers. Most importantly, people in the community would have a new respect for the
  • 15. Six Perspectives In Psychology In psychology there are six perspectives: psychoanalytic, humanistic, behaviorism, cognitive, behavioral and cognitive neuroscience, and cultural. Each of these six perspective contribute to love and I will be explain how as well as giving a few examples for each. The first perspective I will be explaining is the theory that Sigmund Freud founded, psychoanalytic. Psychoanalytic is an approach in psychology that links psychological processes to activities in the nervous system and other bodily processes. (Schacter, 2015, p. 8). The amygdala is the part of our nervous system that is connected with emotions; for example the feeling of loveis coming from the amygdala. Every human wants to feel like they re loved. For example if you see your boyfriend tells you he s not feeling any love from you they might view you as maybe selfies because they think the always make sure you feel love. Behaviorism psychology is, The idea that psychology should restrict itself to studying objectively observable behavior. ( Schacter, 2015, p 10.) All behavior is learned from a persons environment. For example a mother who has a child at a young age is more likely to have the same happen to there child then someone who a child in there late 20 s early 30 s. If a single parent brings a lot of different boyfriend/girlfriend s around there kids then when the kid is older they will probably date a lot of people because they learned this from there

The climate was formidably arid, not a hint of moisture lingered in the air and still, no breeze dared stir this early spring day in southern California. Despite it being early May and early morning the temperature was easily loitering over 80 degrees. Yes, it was going to be horribly uncomfortable today. However the young Spanish womanwhom resided in this often hostile environment languidly stretched upon rising from her slumber. She would have California no other way. She had been born here, a 3rd generation Californiano, the daughter of a grand ranchero who owned the famed Rancho San Rafael. The lovely Hispanic girlrose from her bed and gently strolled over to the window seat taking a seat and staring romantically overlooking the mint green landscape. Bueno Dias Senorita. From across the room the older woman smiled in amusement, she had raised this young woman from infancy, and although not her mother, she enjoyed the girl s company as if she were. Your father is looking much better today. He has asked for your company this morning. The matronly woman conversed warmly. If there is, it would simply turn into a ridiculous joke from someone s eyes, but from a certain person s sight is a delicacy, deeply craving for an answer. Rice farming has been a traditional part of living since the old days. It has become an essential part of humanity s survival, progress, and growth. From plains to mountains to the hills to desolate lands, it has been grown in different places like in Japan. Many believe that riceis a seasonal plant that can only grow in one season and growing it in any other season will only diminish its growth and led to failure. However with the current changes of living, it eventually made people think farther and in a different way that it became unreasonable. It is possible to grow rice in any season because it depends on the land condition, other country can grow it, and having proper material, resources, layout, and planning. The condition of the land is an important factor for growing rice. According to Brian Barth from What Conditions Do You Need To Grow Rice , he stated the growing rice should be kept weed free, has moisturize soil and is well fertilized with a source of nitrogen . Brian Barth gave away the essential requirements of a good plot of land where rice can grow without relying to the season. Using The Personal Task Management Software On Computers... 1.Background Rationale In contemporary society, many people are overwhelmed by the number of tasks that need to be accomplished [1], this tasks are of different types, ranging from daily based such as meetings at work, and non daily based buying groceries after work. To help ourselves to remember these tasks, basic practices are to take notes on the paper based day planners or post it and to use the personal task management software on computers and/or smartphones. As smartphones are used as an alternatives to personal computers, taking notes on smartphones is getting more and more popular [1]. Similar to programs on a personal computer, applications can downloaded and installed on a smartphone. Similar to a personal computer there exists a wide selection of proprietary and open source mobile operating system platforms, out of these smartphone operating systems, the most prominent ones being Apples iOS, Googles Android, Symbian from Symbian foundation, RIM blackberry OS and Windows mobile from Microsoft [2]. He believed that all good things are connected to the sun, in which is said to create life and well being. Akhenaten sees the sun as his one and only god and for example Christians they see God as their one and only god. Aten is the sun god and Akhenaten walks the reader through his belief of what his god does. The short story is trying to persuade the readers to worship Aten and become monotheistic (which means to worship only one God, similar to Christianity). The poem is trying to persuade the readers to pick a certain God they want to follow. So in comparison between the short story and poem is to only worship one God. This Hymn could take place at any point in time because Aten is everlasting. Even if there was a great revelation happening, Akhenaten would attribute it to Aten. However, the setting would change the entire tone of the hymn. This hymn deals with things that are new and glorious, but if one were to change the setting to a revelation, it would deal with death and destruction. The only major difference between the story and the poem is that in Rebellion you are free to choose what god you would want to follow, but in the story Akhenaten forces his people to give up other gods in order to only worship

Although they did argue that these infants are more likely to form an insecure relationship with their mothers compared to mothers who did not work or worked part time. This then posses the risk that working mothers are at risk of having a emotional insecurity as the infants may perceive the parents absence as a rejection. This could be disturbing because of the development of coping strategies leading to anger and mistrust with the mother. There are three Marcello brothers, Alessandro, Benedetto and Girolamo, who were born of nobility here in Venice. Benedetto is well known for his music. Alessandro composes also but his interests actually lie more with philosophy, mathematics, history, chemistry, painting and poetry. Alessandro has a small body of work in music. This is probably due to him being much more of a figure head in the Venetian government since his father passed away in 1707. Benedetto has a much larger body of work composing of many instrumental and sacred vocal pieces. I recalled that considering the academic pursuits of the Marcellos, that it was possible that they were members of the Arcadian colony. The Arcadians were a new movement of intellectuals that emphasized the respect of artistic achievement and a return to the Greek ideals that music and poetry worked together. They also wished to avoid lavish displays and encouraged simplicity. The Arcadians would also use pseudonyms and I discovered that the pseudonym of Eterio Stinfalico belonged to Alessandro Marcello. I went to the Palazzo Marcello and discovered a concert was being performed that had the concerto on its program. The oboist was unknown to me. The audience contained mostly nobles and government

This was done in a couple steps, first dissolved the product to be recrystallized in hot solvent then filtered off impurities, then filtered to isolate the crystals from the recrystallizing solvent [1]. For this method to work there were many different theories that play a role, one of the theories is solubility. Solubility is a chemical property that a solute is able to dissolve in a solvent [2]. This plays a huge role in the experiment as the first step was to dissolve the crude benzoic acid in water. In the first step the benzoic acid had to be dissolved in the solvent, water, so that the impurities can separate from the benzoic acid. Next, the solution was cooled slightly to add decolorizing charcoal in order to remove the impurities. Then, the solution was heated up again for 20 minutes. Then, the solution was filtered so the charcoal wouldn t be in the final product. Finally, when filtering with the Buchner funnel the water was cooled this was used to prevent the benzoic acid from dissolving in the water and being flushed away with the rest of the water. The melting point of benzoic acid is 122.35 В°C [5]. The melting point determined from the experiment is a range from 118В°C 120В°C. The reason for the experiment producing a melting range compared to a melting point is due to impurities as well for the reason of a lower melting point [1]. Impurities within the product lowers the melting point due to intermolecular forces, this causes benzoic acid to not have as strong of a bond together in its crystal structure as there are impurities in the way. This allows a lower level of heat to melt the benzoic

I happen to believe there is far too much patience in the workplace and school right now. We keep teaching young adults the same thing repeatedly instead of speeding up the process and teaching them to move forward and wanting to complete tasks faster is a good thing. I was impatient in my current job and kept pushing for what I wanted and was promoted to a management position in less than a year of working for the company, bypassing that have worked there for year who were patiently waiting for an opportunity to fall into their laps. The author jumped around quite a bit, giving the reader extensive background information and lessons in history and geography, and yet, he managed to tie everything back to the main story of Julio Cesar Gallagos. In short, these Spanish speaking individuals were being treated as criminals, or as Nevins states, permanent outsiders (Nevins, p. 177). This was a very compelling passage, and it jogged my memory back to a time where I was returning from visiting some friends in San Marcos, California. On this occasion, I saw for the first time, yellow traffic signs on the side of the freeway that portrayed silhouettes of a man, woman, and child holding hands in a running motion, with the word Caution posted above. To this day, that image haunts me. That horrid traffic sign is probably still there, warning the people of Southern California that immigrants are some kind of potential threat or something to be afraid of. Additionally, I think that the majority of people who want to abolish illegal immigration, are not worried about the dangers that individuals like Julio face, but are concerned with their own safety from these outsiders. Nevins seems to capture this idea in his statement: ...Combined with the state s power to mold the collective mind set of its citizenry to distinguish between

Both of these two stories were written in a generation that women were looked downed upon and made to feel less important than males. Some choose to view him as one of the most influential political leaders in history, while others allow him to fade off into the past. Lenin s image also greatly depends on where one lives. In the western half of the world, Lenin is viewed as a man of destruction, and Winston Churchill called him The Grand Repudiator. In other parts of the world, he is viewed as a man who tried to make the best out of a failing situation. Lenin was a revolutionary intellectual who establish the Bolshevik Party (later renamed the Communist Party). Lenin became leader of the USSR in 1922 and ruled until his death in 1924, when Joseph Stalin assumed power. Though many argue that Lenin started one of the worst governments in history, Russian Communism, Lenin actually provided a solution for the troubling times in Russia. In the 1890, Lenin quit his job as a lawyer and moved to St. Petersburg where he became involved with a group of radicals that supported the ideas of Karl Marx. It causes him to temporarily loathe himself as well as Eleanor, but it also teaches him that he needs to become an individual. Amory does not mean he believes in paganism when he refers to himself as paganist; he does not know himself well enough to know whether or not he believes in God. All of his or her ancestry, background, is all a part of himself and herself at any moment. And so a man, a character in a story at any moment of action is not just himself as he is then, he is all that made him. (Fennell 37) It is seemingly impossible to separate the past from the present among characters in southern literature. In this paper I will examine three characters and their romanticized view of their ancestors, as well as their burden. I will be considering Gail Hightower and Joanna Burden in William Faulkner s Light in August, and Cheyenne Cotterell in Tiya Miles The Cherokee Rose: A Novel of Gardens Ghosts. All three of these characters idealize their ancestors while simultaneously feeling burdened as a result of it. In Faulkner s Light in August Gail Hightower, an outcast reverend, is heavily burdened by his father and grandfather. He lives within the past and seems to have no care for the present or future. Hightower s

Sacagawea s Impact On The Lewis And Clark Expedition Sacagawea s help on the Lewis and Clark Expedition Makes it a Success All across America people know the name of Sacagawea, the Indian interpreter for the Lewis and Clark expedition. Sacagawea was known for being the only woman on the expedition, but many people may not know all the reasons as to how she survived being the only woman. She became strong through all of the events that happened to her. Sacagawea, the only woman on the Lewis and Clark expedition, survived because of events that happened to her at a young age and because of her good interpreting skills. Sacagawea, also known as Bird woman, was the daughter of a Shoshonechief( A Fine Boy ). Sacagawea s tribe, the Shoshone, was a very poor tribe(Patrick, Mcgrath). She was born in either 1788 or in 1789(Patrick, Mcgrath). Sacagawea was captured by the Hidatsa Indians at the young age of 12 and she was also raised by them( A Fine Boy ). Because she was the daughter of an Indian tribe, she made the expedition a success and was able to accompany Lewis and Clark on their return back to their own country(Fisher,Doris,pg 14). The expedition may not have been a success without the courage and the knowledge of Sacagawea(Kelly, Stephanie,p 9). Sacagawea got married when she was only 15... Lewis refused because he said that he had promised Clark that they would get an equal amount of reward. So after Lewis made this argument, Congress awarded Lewis and Clark both with 1,600 acres of land (Patrick,

  • 50. An Analysis Of Gregory Mobley s The Return Of The Chaos Chaos: the state of the universe before there was order and before stars and planets were formed (Merriam Webster). As defined, this state of disarray existed before existence of life itself was even possible. Hence, the chaos was a precursor for the opportunity of a higher being to take control of the universe. This is where the Old Testamentcomes into play in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. From that point on, the plotthickens as the characters battle to find order hidden amongst worldly turmoil. Throughout the Old Testament, each character struggled with the underlying issue of making meaning from the chaos of experience, the human condition (Mobley 2). However, many fail to realize that these people and plot twists of the biblical stories commonly reoccur time after time throughout history. In The Return of the Chaos Monsters and other backstories of the Bible, Gregory Mobley exhibits how the 7 backstories have been strikingly similar to other infamous stories. His underlying theme of proving this connection between biblical stories and stories passed on since then was well supported by his method of close inspection of the text from peculiar perspectives. Overall, Mobley effectively conveys the duo of order and chaos in order to explain how the Old Testament functions as a storybook through the use of modern day examples and a conversational writing style that made the book enjoyable to read. At first, I was unfamiliar with a book title that

California Government Research Paper Devin Shephard Political Science Prof. Fong March 1, 2017 California Politics and Government California is the wealthiest and most diverse state in the country. Just like the National government, California is comprised of three branches; Legislative, Executive and Judicial. The legislative branch is the largest, and is made up of the state Senate and Assembly. The Assembly consists of eighty representatives, one from each county, to serve for up to three two year terms. The California Senate holds forty Senators, who are allowed a maximum of two four year terms. The Executive branch consists of the state Governor and a group of elected constitutional officers. The final branch, the Judicial branch, is made up of California s supreme court, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We see that the passage of these initiatives affected the ability of the legislature to create important policies. Proposition 140 is a reform initiative that drastically changed the fundamentals of the legislative system. This proposition halted the cycle of institutional knowledge for legislators who become experts in certain policies. They are barred from running for office once the term limit is fulfilled. In the bigger picture, legislative committee leaders are sometimes new legislators who do not have expertise in the policy. This is problematic because lack of expertise hinders the creation of innovative and effective policy. Proposition 140 created a better over turn thus, giving minorities and women the chance to represent their constituents; the point of the term limit was to repopulate the legislature. By creating this constant repopulation, it allows expertise to be achieved by legislators but it bars them to contribute into policy making once their term limit is achieved. Proposition 118 on the other hand intends to change the composition of the legislature but makes it harder for redistricting to occur. By passing Proposition 118, the legislature will not be able to represent the people of California accurately; thus, creating policy problems since enacted policies will not

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The experiments design was conducted well. Since the experimenters chose all Caucasian newborn infants, it was a good idea to use Caucasian faces because that is a face they are most used to. Also, it was a good idea to use female faces instead of males faces because the newborn infant spend months in their mothers stomach and have a connection with females since the females are the parents who care for the newborn infants the most and are more likely to stay at home with them. For example, females breast feeding newborn infants and staying at home with the newborn infant longer after their maternity leave is over. Once it was known that attractive faces are preferred over unattractive faces, seeing if the orientation of the face changes the looking time is important. It is important because from the findings of this experiment, we can relate it to the attractiveness adults see in other adults. Adults who are more attractive and have a symmetrical face are preferred over others. This experiment also brought up a good fact that, no matter what age you are, it is harder to distinguish a face if inverted. This experiment overall not only provides information about newborn infants perception, it provides a basis for development. We can use this information and connect it to development from birth to

During this era, Rome was ruled by Trajan during 98 117 CE, which is also the time period for this sculpture. The lighting is slightly dramatic, creating stark lights and darks in the figure. It gives it a sense of authority. The hair is in the Roman style, and is similar to that of Augustus. This marble sculpture s head is of the emperor Trajan, and it was a bust of some sort. However, the nude body was later added. The sculpture is in a variation of contrapposto, with the the right arm contracted and fingers spread out. The full open sculpture makes Trajan seem more youthful, which applies more culturally to the Greeks, who are concerned with beauty and
