CASTING, LOCATION & TEST SHOTS
CASTING
• Actress:
• Character: Lucy
We chose (…..) to play the role of
Lucy as she is a keen actress who
has experience of acting. (….) fits
into the demograph of Lucy, she is
the same age. (…) will bring out the
character sense of psychopathy.
PIC OF
ACTRESS
CASTING
Actor: Jacob Brown
Character: Damien Ridgeway
Jacob was cast as Ridgeway as he is
a keen actor with lots of experience.
He looks sadistic, scary and psychotic
which is essential for the role. The beard
allows him to look older which is needed
for Ridgeway. It was a pleasure to cast
Jacob in the role after he showed much
enthusiasm for the film and character.
CASTING
• Name: Jack Dickson
• Character: Sergeant Green
• Jack was cast as Green as he can play an
authority figure needed for Green. He is young
which was a key reason in his casting.
CASTING
• Name: Ben Lister
• Character: Detective Inspector Connor
• Ben was cast as Connor as he can play an
authority figure needed for Connor. He is young
which was a key reason in his casting.
PIC OF
BEN
CASTING
• Name: Ben McNamara
• Character: Sargent Miller
• Ben was cast as Miller as he can play an
authority figure needed for Miller. He is young
which was a key reason in his casting. As a keen
army supporter, this role is suited to Ben and
he will be able to use his knowledge to expand
the role.
CASTING
• Name: Karen Dickson
• Character: Lucy’s Mother
Karen was cast as Lucy’s
mother as she fits the age
range of the character.
Due to the character
being in one scene the
casting was ideal for a
short scene.
CASTING
• Name: Brett Dickson
• Character: Lucy’s Step-Father
Brett was cast as Lucy’s Step-
Father as he fits the age range
of the character. Due to the
character being in one scene
the casting was ideal for a short
scene.
PIC OF
BRETT
LOCATION- SCHOOL
These shots are the
location shots for the
scene outside the
school. The top two
shots are the main
shots from the scene.
We chose the
positioning as it is a
large area allowing for
clear shot taking and
filming.
LOCATION- POLICE STATION
We used the police station
as it is a believable setting
for the arrest of Ridgeway.
It will convey to the
audience that Ridgeway
is a criminal and show he
is the antagonist from the
start.
PIC OF
POLICE
STATION
LOCATION- JACK’S HOUSE
We used Jack’s House because it is a
rural house, this signifies abandonment
and mystery. It allows the audience to
feel more emotion for Lucy. The house
also has land we can utilise to make our
scenes look rural/country.
PROPS
We used a rocking chair as it is a
convention horror prop and it also
adds elements of fear to the
character.
By using a music box we can
incorporate creepy music into our
trailer. The music box is the main
association between Ridgeway and
Lucy. This allows the audience to
create greater tension as they can see
and hear the music box before Lucy in
scenes.
By using a laptop we are using an
everyday tool used by young adults. It
allows the audience to relate to Lucy
easier and guess her age.
PIC OF ROCKING
CHAIR, MUSIC
BOX
AND LAPTOP
COSTUME
This is some of the costume that
Ridgeway will wear. We will use
plain black trousers as they are dark
symbolising death and darkness.
We will also use black gloves to
give the character some mystery.
The hat will conceal the characters
face more adding to the mystery of
the character.
