3. IV. PRESENTING PROBLEM
Miss Nick approached me, saying that she had been frightened to share her problems about study with her mother because of a lack of relationship with each other.
Hence, she needs emotional support to overcome he’s issues.
V. BACKGROUND INFORMATION
A. The client
• She is a 20 year old girl, of lean body and tall height, healthy, and with no handicap.
• She grew up without the presence of her mother, only he’s grandma stands as her mother.
• Sometimes, her mother gets late to give her allowance, and it’s difficult to balance the budget for her personal needs and school needs.
• She’s 12 years old when he’s mother returns from abroad and it’s taken 13 years of working from abroad.
• Mother forgot he's educational support and it made her distressed about how to open up he's problem, especially since she did not have time for her.
• She started to worry about everything on how to survive every day when they were only dependent on her mother's boyfriend.
• The struggle is real, she used over-thinking by budgeting money to fulfill the needs, especially for her studies and how to have a new phone to use on her online
classes .
• And sometimes it led to eating two times a day and sometimes getting absent from her online classes and missing activities while having a trouble error on her
phone.
B. The Family
• Miss Nick's parents are unmarried and separated.
• Her mother was a single mom and her father already had a new family.
• Nick and her mother live together in a small house of her auntie with the income of being nursing aid of her mother with an average of P350. 00 a day.
• He's grandpa is already ill. He can't walk, can't hear clearly and has blurred eyes. In short, he's already old and needs assistance to take care of himself.
• And it led to her out of the focus of her classes and other activities that she might have finished.
• She has difficulties managing the time between her grandpa, class, and herself.
4. C. The Community
• The physical surroundings are dirty with noisy children and drunk people.
• She has a close friend and a lot of people are already her friend.
• She experienced that every time she woke up in the morning there was fighting from her neighborhood.
• Their place is scattered by plastic materials and bottles of gin.
• The place is surrounded by vehicles, factories, and buildings that have the resources she wants.
• Someday, when she graduates and gets a job, she wants to leave her messy place and find a peaceful place with her mother.
• She is sometimes accompanied by her friend to do her schoolworks.
VI. ASSESSMENT
• Nick's needs help to tell her problems with her mother that she had difficulties using her broken phone and needs to have weekly load to survive her everyday online
classes. She already tried to start a conversation with her mother but she always wanted to rest.
• For almost a year, she was experiencing difficulties to provide her weekly load and sometimes it could lead her to get absent in online classes.
• She always borrows the phone of her friend if it's available because her phone is already broken and it is hard to see clearly the face of her teacher and classmates during
online classes.
• Resources for Nick's emotional support are available in the agency of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) where she can give counseling that she
can cope with, to tell her problem with her mother and to enhance the relationship with each other.

Goal: at the end of the year (2021), Nick has a better relationship with her mother where she is able to tell her problems.
