Final Reactions:

Anibal’s behavior has not been showing progress in the past few weeks. Before the Holy

Week, Anibal seemed to be under control and seemed to be showing progress in his behavior.

Yet, the grades arrived and it appeared that Anibal had F of 58% in a class and a D that was

almost an F in another. Anibal was not entering the English classroom because the teacher was

writing on the board. After Holy Week, Anibal went to my classroom and disrespected me and

my colleague, Mrs. Rivera, by writing something to me on the board and by doing a “rawr” noise

to Mrs. Rivera when she told Anibal to erase it. The word said: “Sosa esun C………..o.” We

though he substituted the letter n by the o. After he got out of the classroom, he went to the class

of Mr. Vega (Physics Education)and disrupted the class and had a problem with him too, a

problem so bad he even got kicked out of the classroom with a threat.

Mr. Vega, Mrs. Almeda, and Director Alvarado have been in constant communication

with me since he disrespected me. We all have been working with Anibal in one way or another.

I needed help in this case. The subject was making progress at first, but in these last days the

subject has had a breakdown (in terms of progress). I could not understand why by studying him.

However, Almeda, Alvarado, and Vega shared their experiences with the kid. The subject did the

same things to them as he did to me. He opened up to them to later do an act of disrespect. In

conclusion, they told me he was like this since the beginning.

Anibal’s mom has been summoned to the school. I talked to director Alvarado to

schedule the meeting. This has gone over for two weeks. Anibal’s mother has not arrived yet.

Anibal has been threatened by director Alvarado that if his mom does not arrive in the next

meeting, he will be suspended. I have talked Anibal out of this. I know his mother. She will

appear but after time flies by.
In conclusion, Anibal is and always will be an awesome kid, and in the future, man. I see

potential in that youngster. He is really bright, really intelligent, and full of aptitude and talent.

His behavioral problems are a menace, though. I am frustrated. I thought I was helping the kid

and I thought we were making progress. If I was, I will never know. The kid has been different

with me since he made his act against me. I wish this kid would just talk to me and express

himself like he used to...

I summoned the mom to the school as a disciplinary act and dialogued with teachers as

actions taken, but this case is coming to an end. I, indirectly and however I can, will try to keep

working with this kid. I care too much for him. I recommend that the school keeps attending his

needs. I know he needs help. The purpose for I choosing Anibal was because I saw potential in

this kid, potential I know he has. I wanted other teachers to see the Anibal I saw, or rather, that I

see every day: an Anibal that is intelligent, talented, and gifted. I don’t want Anibal to be

suspended, I want him to pass twelfth grade. I am worried because he is at risk to flunk. I want

the teachers and the director to give him the chance, even though he may be a little hard to

control, but he is still a student… my student.
