Traditional process was like fields users visits customers
and record the data (sales order, visit reporting) manually
and then update data on the web portals. Keeping track on
field user’s daily activity was a tedious job. Once the order
booked, it will go for approvals.Then it will move forward
to dispatch/delivery department. Then the further delivery
process comes in a picture. The sales cycle becomes
lengthier and takes much time for final product delivery to
the customer.

Henceforth Himalaya needed a solution which will enable
the sales people to perform/update/track their daily task in
a real time and to keep trail on Stockiest process. So the
sales cycle would be greatly reduced. Sales force
automation is a system used in CRM marketing and
management that will help to automate sales processes and
management functions.

The system should be integrated with SAP at the backend
and also should require some approvals and triggers are in
place to facilitate the end managers for controlling the
operations. Being an FMCG company, real time information
and keeping track over the daily activity was extremely
critical in terms of turn around to the customer. Proposed
system needed to be on a platform which would
completely agnostic to the carrier and should be
compatible with the Android OS.

The stockist and distributors will transact through a
secured web interface into the system and thus will be able
to ensure that information of secondary execution, sales
returns, scheme management and claims settlement needed
to be in real time.
