Light-weight structures and broad roads in between the structures shall be built over an area of great dimensions (km).
The document describes fly ash bricks, which are made from a mixture including fly ash, cement, lime, gypsum, and sand or stone dust. Fly ash bricks offer advantages over conventional bricks like higher compressive strength, lower water absorption, and more uniform size. They use fewer raw materials and require fewer bricks for the same construction, lowering costs by around 30%. The manufacturing process involves mixing, compacting the mixture using hydraulic brick presses, and curing the final products.

3D tire modeling in ANSYS can simulate the complex nonlinear behavior of tires. Tires have a composite structure with high-strength reinforcement elements embedded in a hyperelastic rubber material. ANSYS allows for modeling the reinforcement elements, complex contact behavior, large deformations, and fluid-structure interaction inside the pressurized tire. Various simulations can analyze tire inflation, footprint, rolling, water splash, blast wave interaction, and damage from landmines.

IRJET-Testing of Fluidized Bed Combustor for Foundry Sand ReclamationIRJET Journal
This document presents the testing of a newly developed fluidized bed combustor (FBC) for reclaiming used foundry sand. The FBC was designed to reclaim up to 20kg of chemically bonded no-bake sand and tested using Taguchi methods. Testing examined parameters of temperature, sand holding time, and quantity of sand. Optimum parameters were identified as 500°C, 15 minutes, and 15kg of sand, achieving 18.66% weight reduction and a cycle time of 55 minutes. The reclaimed sand was found to have properties suitable for reuse in foundry applications.
EarthZyme is a non-toxic clay-based soil stabilizer that is 100% biodegradable and increases the strength and compaction of soils, reducing maintenance costs for roads. It works by reacting with clay particles in the soil to bind them permanently, unlike other products that only provide temporary binding. When applied to roads, it decreases rolling resistance by up to 35% and increases the soil's California Bearing Ratio by an average of 265%, leading to long-term savings on road construction and maintenance.

Poor cement jobs in oil and gas wells can have significant costs. Cementing is important for zonal isolation and preventing accidents. Cement jobs are challenging for horizontal wells due to fluid migration in deviated wellbores. A new rotating mandrel hanger wellhead system called the MN-DS allows casing to be rotated during cementing for better distribution. This can improve cement job quality and integrity while saving rig time. The nested design also reduces the overall height to fit modern rigs better.

Enhancement in properties of concrete by Silica fumes.IRJET Journal
The document discusses the enhancement of concrete properties through the addition of silica fumes. It finds that replacing a portion of cement with silica fumes improves several qualities of hardened concrete including increased compressive strength, reduced permeability and alkali-aggregate reaction, and improved resistance to sulfate attack and sea water. The document outlines the methodology used to test concrete cubes containing silica fumes, finding improvements to compressive strength when 5-15% of cement is replaced. It concludes that silica fumes provide benefits when used in higher grade concretes and allow achieving ultra-high strengths while using less than 450kg of cement per cubic meter.

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!
