An AR app relies heavily on availability of specific
hardware and software to function, these apps are
usually very resource and graphics heavy making it
difficult to run on simple hardware.
Current trends data in Nordic region suggests that
most children use either an iOS of Android powered
device capable of taking pictures, videos and running
games with medium to high memory and graphics
requirements.
Apple and Google both have their own dedicated
SDK’s for developing AR Apps with support of required
features discussed in previous sections.

The cost of developing these apps can vary depending
on the size and complexity ranging from NOK 5
Millions to NOK 25 Millions for small to medium sized
apps.

Current trends data in Nordic region suggests that most children use either an iOS of Android powered device capable of taking pictures, videos and running games with medium to high memory and graphics requirements. Apple and Google both have their own dedicated SDK’s for developing AR Apps with support of required features discussed in previous sections. • Apple ARKit3 - iOS • Google ARCore – Android The cost of developing these apps can vary depending on the size and complexity ranging from NOK 5 Millions to NOK 25 Millions for small to medium sized apps.
