This case report summarizes a 49-year-old man who presented with chronic low back pain, numbness in his legs, muscle weakness, and other symptoms. Examinations found osteopenia, compression fractures in his spine, and spondylolisthesis. He was diagnosed with osteoporosis likely caused by long-term glucocorticoid use, alcohol consumption, and a recent fall. He was prescribed calcium, vitamin D, medications to treat osteoporosis and prevent further fractures, and referred to a neurologist for further evaluation of possible lumbar disc herniation.
