Facts about III Liceum
              (High School no. 3)
• Our school is a general public (state) school which is
  named after the Romantic poet, Cyprian Kamil Norwid.
It is placed in the city of Konin, a town with a
population of nearly 80 000 people, situated in
    central Poland, in the eastern part of the
     Wielkopolska Region on the Warta river.
Coat of Arms of Konin Konin on the map
The school was founded in 1990. It was named
after Cyprian Kamil Norwid 25.10.2006 and three
           years ago we celebrated its
                20th anniversary.

                              • 10 IX 2010
• We attract students from the town itself as well as from
  neighbouring towns and villages (50:50);

• Every year we teach approx. 600-650 students in 20 or
  more classes;

• There are around 50 permanent teachers employed in
  our school – all of them with university degrees;
III Liceum is:
• dynamic and open to new challenges and ideas,
• takes part in various educational programmes and
  initiatives,
• tries out new methods of learning 
• As in every general public high school in Poland, education in our school lasts
  three years. The school population is made of 16-19 year-old students.

• Within years, III Liceum has become the most popular secondary school in
  Konin. One of the biggest evidence of its good reputation is the fact that every
  year 100% of our third graders pass the final exams (matriculation exams) and
  get accepted to the best universities in Poland. Some of the graduates go to
  study abroad.

• In the school year of 2011/12, III Liceum achieved the best score in the final
    exams results in Konin and took the 14th position in the Wielkopolska Region
    ranking of Best Schools in the Province.

• In September 2012 - 9 instead of typical 7 first grade classes were opened,
  which made it the biggest number of first graders in the city. Thanks to it, our
  school had the honour and pleasure to hold the 2012/13 City School Year
  Opening celebration.

  Certainly, it was a significant credit given to the III Liceum by the Local
Authorities.
2012/13 City School Year Opening
Every year our students are successful winners in a
 range of competitions of the Local, Regional and
                  National scope.
