by two "flying saucers" which 
flew over the area for five 
hours and 36 minutes on No-vember 
25.. 
The Air Force actually sent: 
up two-B-26s, one B-17,: and one- 
Navy patrol bomber • to- try to 
intercept the objects* but failed. 
An official cable to Washing 
ton from the- Panama Canal 
Zone states "two unidentified 
objects'* were sighted over the 
Canal Zone>November 25 from- 
6:06 p.-m. to 11:42 p. m.- 
The sighting: was:. made by 
radar attached to- dntiaireraft 
guns. THe two objects^ what-ever 
they were,; remained over 
the Canal Zone foi* 5'/s hou,s> 
traveling at an estimated speed 
of 275 mile* per hour and ma-neuvering:' 
from- 1000'- feet to 
28,000 feet In altrtude. • 
As no United States aircraft 
were supposed to be flying irt 
the vicinitj^at that time, the afr 
defertse cononand»r:; was suffi-ciently 
stirred up overthe mys-terious 
sigh ting;, to;, send' up
