This workshop provides resources and activities to help students in Teachers College's TESOL Certificate Program with their job search and application process for ESL teaching jobs. Alumni will share their career experiences and discuss opportunities. Students will learn about online job resources and begin creating an electronic portfolio to establish their professional online presence. The goal is for students to leave with knowledge of finding and applying for ESL positions, a basic portfolio, and a career plan.

Web2.0 powerpoint
Web 2.0 developed between 1990-2004 with research on the concept. Google launched in 1998 and Tom O'Reilly introduced the term Web 2.0 in 2004. Between 2005-2010 Web 2.0 developed and commercialized, allowing for more interaction and user-generated content online. Current research focuses on developing Web 3.0 from 2010 onward. Early adopters of Web 2.0 in education were likely technology specialists and teachers, while early elementary teachers may have been later adopters due to challenges communicating online with young students.
ELFIE Project: E-Learning good_examples
The ELFIE project involved 3 partner countries - Netherlands, Poland, and Spain. It aimed to develop e-learning resources for vocational students with learning difficulties. As part of the project, partners identified existing good examples of e-learning materials and created new resources based on identified patterns. Examples developed included tools for developing talents, learning about emotions, IP addresses, immigration, and simulations for cooking and tourism. All resources were designed using active and inclusive teaching methodologies.
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
This was a course assignment when I was studying at FPT University where we had chances to talk about what we were interested in in front of the class. I was dreaming of a MOOC platform for Vietnamese during that time. I hope that these slides from my coursework will be useful for those who are looking for an overview of MOOCs, or attempt to do business with it. Also on the ending slide, I talked about my personal idea for running a Mooc platform. Sit down and enjoy!

A massive open online course (MOOC) is an online course with no limit on attendance that delivers course content via the internet. The first MOOCs emerged from the open educational resources movement in 2008. A notable early MOOC called Connectivism and Connective Knowledge had over 2,000 participants. In 2012, a MOOC on artificial intelligence offered by Stanford professors attracted over 160,000 students from around the world, demonstrating their massive potential. There are two main types of MOOCs: XMOOCs which focus on video lectures and formative testing, and CMOOCs which emphasize social connectivity and learner-centered approaches.
