The document provides an evaluation of UNLV's hybrid learning program between 2010-2012. It finds that the number of hybrid courses offered annually at UNLV has been increasing, with 100 hybrid courses offered during that period. The majority of instructors teaching hybrid courses had misconceptions about what constitutes a hybrid course. Most instructors also felt they lacked adequate training to teach hybrid courses. The evaluation recommends establishing clear definitions for different instruction modes, creating procedures for high-quality course development, and providing training for instructors on best practices for hybrid learning.

This C++ program demonstrates the use of a static variable in a function. The function A contains a static variable count that is initialized to 0 and incremented each time the function is called. When the main function calls A twice, it prints the values 1 and 2, showing that the static variable maintains its value between calls.
In their initial planning for weeks 1 and 2 of their documentary project, the group:
1) Decided to ask someone with acting experience to be the voiceover presenter since none of the group members were suitable. An email was sent asking a potential person.
2) Contacted a potential interviewee who identifies as a meninist to get his perspective, and he agreed to an interview but wants his identity kept anonymous.
3) Scheduled an interview with the head of the Feminist Society at their school to get an opposing viewpoint on meninism and how it has been influenced by social media.

The document discusses how audience feedback was used at various stages of creating a documentary. Initial feedback was gathered through online and paper surveys to inform topic selection and ensure the target audience's interests were addressed. Two test screenings provided feedback on the finished documentary, identifying needed audio fixes. Feedback was also gathered on promotional magazine spreads and radio ads created for the documentary, confirming they were professionally executed and achieved their purposes. The document concludes that audience feedback played a strong role in creating a successful final product by identifying issues to address at different production stages.

Getting started with Android ProgrammingHenry Osborne
This document provides an overview of Android for developers getting started with Android programming. It discusses what Android is, the history and versions of Android, the architecture and features of the Android operating system, popular Android devices, and Android's app marketplace. The key points are: Android is an open source, Linux-based OS acquired by Google; it has gone through many versions codenamed after desserts; the architecture includes the Linux kernel, libraries, runtime and framework; and it powers a wide range of devices led by smartphones.
The document lists the major versions of the Android operating system from 1.0 to 7.0 Nougat, providing the release date and key details of each version such as the Linux kernel it was based on. It discusses the first version to use a dessert-themed codename (Cupcake), the versions that introduced tablets (Honeycomb) and a unified platform for phones and tablets (Ice Cream Sandwich). The most recent version is Android 7.0 Nougat which was expected to be released in late 2016.
The document discusses Android, including what it is, its architecture, latest devices, why developers use it, and how to get started coding Android apps. It notes that Android is an open source operating system based on Linux, developed by Google. It reviews Android versions and their codenames. It also provides statistics on Android's large market share and popularity among developers.
This document provides information about the Android operating system including its history, name changes over time, versions, connectivity options, abilities, advantages, and disadvantages. It notes that Android is based on the Linux system but apps do not run on Linux. The core is Linux-based. Versions are named after desserts in alphabetical order starting with Cupcake. Advantages include running many apps at once and easy access to thousands of apps. Disadvantages comprise lagging, hanging, fast battery drain, heating, and need for constant internet connectivity.
Android is an open source mobile operating system developed by Google. It was founded in 2003 by Andy Rubin and the first commercial version, Android 1.0, was released in 2008. Major versions include Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat and later versions, each named in alphabetical order after desserts and confectionery. The document provides details on the origin of Android and outlines the key features and changes introduced in each major version.
The document provides an overview of the Android operating system. It discusses that Android is an open source, Linux-based operating system designed for mobile devices. Key points include:
- Android was developed by Android Inc, which was acquired by Google in 2005. It is now managed by the Open Handset Alliance of 84 companies.
- The operating system uses Java programming languages and supports C/C++ and C# via tools like the Android SDK and emulator.
- Android has grown significantly, with daily device activations and a large app market. It powers many affordable smartphones and tablets due to its freely downloadable and open source nature.
This document outlines the major versions of the Android operating system from 1.0 to the upcoming 7.0 release. It provides details on the release date, code name, and kernel version for each major Android version from 1.1 through 6.0 Marshmallow. It also briefly mentions the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat release scheduled for late 2016.
Android is an open source operating system developed by the Open Handset Alliance led by Google. It was first released in 2007 and is used widely in smartphones, tablets, and other devices. The version history began with Android 1.0 in 2008 and has continued through several versions coded by dessert names up to the current Android 10. Android provides advantages like a large developer community, multitasking capabilities, and access to apps and notifications, but also has disadvantages such as potential for battery drain, malware, and requiring a Gmail account.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
