Education: any degree & outstanding honours of
scholarship, applicable study program, courses
and projects.
Work experience: past job relevant to your target
field. Include part time or volunteer work that
reflects interest in the type of job you are
seeking. Brief descriptions of your duties &
worthy accomplishments

• Career objectives, stated as specifically as possible
• Professionally presented (not handwritten) and
businesslike. No spelling, grammar, or punctuation
errors.
• Should answer the employer’s question, “what’s in it
for me?”

MOMENT
The purpose of the resume & cover letter is
to land a job interview. Employers hire on the
basis of the interview.
Learn about the most asked questions. Find
out about the company, who will you be
talking to.
Thank the interviewer & politely inquire what
will happen next.

13. FOLLOWING-UP
Record keeping is a must (files on recording letters,
resume sent, dates of interviews, clipping of
companies)
After interview, write a brief, typewritten, thank you
note. Reiterate your interest in the job.
Double check previous communications for estimated
time framed
Don’t call them if they didn’t ask you
Be polite and profesional
Keep it short
