This document outlines the applicant's plan to complete a bachelor's and master's degree in film and television from 2018-2022. During their undergraduate studies, they will take modules developing skills in film and television production, screenwriting, directing, and industry practices. They then plan to complete a master's degree focusing on screen analysis, writing, directing, histories and research methods. Their goal is to gain experience as a runner and then work as an assistant producer or editor, eventually becoming a director. Their inspiration is the comedy duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and they hope to one day produce work for major production companies.

These modules that I will take part in, will give be some of the
bases to productions skills used on set. It will help me in the
future, as I would have learnt skills involved around text and
specific details used in film and television, this will help me in the
future get a role of a runner at a production company. Also whilst
taking part in my first year I want to create a network of with other
students to explore collaboration opportunities

The last modules I will be taking for my undergraduate degree,
this will add depth to my understanding of what goes on behind
the image displayed on the screen, and more off the meaning in
the story. Helping me understand concepts such as film criticisms

2. and how stories are made and based on. This will help me
understand the roles of a screenwriter and what they have to do
when involved in a production. This will also help me looking for
employment as I will have other roles covered when working as a
runner so I could help in all the different jobs that go on in a
production company. By this time also I would like to know what
employment is on offer for work experience.

After finishing my degree, I would like to complete my
masters this will help me get into the production market
straight away as I would have already taken part in different
productions, which would be part of my portfolio. The
modules of my final year will give me a better understanding
of other roles such as directing and producing, as I will be
placed in real life scenarios where the skills I have learned
from the previous years, will be put into place to solve the
problems a director, producer or other job role in a
production company, would face. This will help me with
employment in the future as I will already have the
knowledge and understanding of how the job roles work and
what problems they might Face. By this point I will want to
have decided on what job role to focus on, so my efforts can
all be allocated to bettering myself for this job role.

3. My inspiration is the comedy duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, this is because from a young
age I have loved their movies they have created alongside Edgar Wright, such as “The
Cornetto trilogy “Shaun of the dead, hot fuzz and the worlds end“ alongside other movies
such as “Tintin and Paul” for both . Both also have had their fair share of success by
themselves such as “Star Trek, Ice Age and Mission Impossible” for Simon Pegg and
“Cuban Fury, Attack the Block and Snow White and The Huntsman” (both movies) for Nick
Frost. The paths they have followed to get where they are has inspired me to want to do the
same creating movies for audiences to enjoy.
Nick frost was Nominated in 2004 for the British Independent Film Award for the Most
Promising Newcomer in the movie Shaun of the Dead (2004) alongside the Best Supporting
Actor in Shaun of the Dead (2004) and was Nominated in 2011 for the Performance of the
Year in Paul (2011).
Simon Pegg was nominated in 2002 for the BAFTA TV Award for the movie Spaced (1999)
which was shared with: Nira Park, Edgar Wright and Jessica Hynes for series II. In 2016 he
was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in Mission: Impossible -
Rogue Nation (2015) in 2014 he was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actor in The
World's End (2013) he was also nominated for Best Writing for The World's End (2013)
which was shared with: Edgar Wright
Also in 2014 he was nominated for the American Comedy Award for Best Comedy Actor
during the Film the World's End (2013) alongside the Best Comedy Screenplay the World's
End (2013) Shared with: Edgar Wright.
2022 Employment By this point by gaining lots of knowledge, qualifications and
skills I want to be able to find work as more of a junior role in
a production company, as during my 4 years at university I
plan on finding work as a runner gaining work experience so
form this point onwards I can either start working as an
assistant producer, editor and work my way up to directing
the final role I l want to be placed in producing work for
major companies.
