Hale Kula Elementary School participated in the global Cardboard Challenge, which was inspired by a video of a 9-year-old boy who built an arcade out of cardboard boxes. Over 900 students, 50 teachers, and volunteers at Hale Kula spent the day problem-solving, creating, and sharing various cardboard structures they built together, such as a cardboard maze. The event was a success thanks to the organizing teachers and the inspiration of the boy Caine who showed what can be built from cardboard.

participants in 43 different countries.
