The 3-Axis Motorized PIC Machine is similar to a CNC milling machine but is controlled by a programmable instruction chip (PIC) instead of a user interface. It uses 3 bipolar stepper motors, a PIC microchip controller, and an LCD display. The main goal is to build the 3 motorized axes and control them using a PIC16f684 microchip. It will work by using the 3 stepper motors and a Dremel tool controlled by the LCD interface and 4 PIC16f684 microchips to receive inputs and control the motors. Future goals include adding optical sensors for safety and using G-code from a computer interface.

While the MC-21 uses a more modern design, the combination of its wider fuselage and lower wing aspect ratio compared to the A320neo prevent it from achieving a fuel consumption advantage. Analysis shows the MC-21 and A320neo have similar fuel efficiency, as their dominant drag sources are approximately equal given their shared engine type. A computer numeric control machine
With inspiration to develop an own 3-D printing machine, we aimed at developing one by own. As the first step, we thought of working on 2-D drawing machine although using 3 axis of movement, so that it can be further extended towards a fully working rapid prototyping machine. The working model we develop comprises of 3 Stepper motors controlled by a motor driver IC, that gets its signal from Arduino Uno. At end of project, our model is been able to draw any 2-D image that can be uploaded directly in a desktop, which gives the appropriate command signals through an algorithm to Arduino itself.

The new challenge comes from sustainable manufacturing. The design data was then imported into Windchill where it could be accessed and reviewed by authorized users, including providing customer feedback. Integrating the design and manufacturing data onto a PLM platform allows for efficient management of the product data and process throughout the lifecycle.

The design data was then imported into Windchill where it could be accessed and reviewed by authorized users, including providing customer feedback. Integrating the design and manufacturing data onto a PLM platform allows for efficient management of the product data and process throughout the lifecycle.
Towards smart and sustainable machining
Computer Numeric Control (CNC) revolutionized the machining technology and has been the cutting edge of digital manufacturing since 1950s. CNC machining model, simulation, verification, and optimization have been a vivid research topic of Smart Machining that automated the CNC programming (CAM) and cutting process, hence greatly increased machining productivity since 1990s. This paper traces back the history of CNC simulation, analysis the different CNC machining models, tested with application examples, and listed different CNC verification industry applications for the last 20 years. The new challenge comes from sustainable manufacturing. Towards smart and competitive sustainable machining, CNC model and simulation will be used to optimize the machining process, where the raw material could be saved through First Part Correct technology, the energy could be saved through cutting speed optimization, and used parts could be saved by remanufacturing.

Quadcopter Final Report
