The document provides instructions for copying content from a previous year's Canvas course into the current year's course or an existing course. It explains that teachers can make a personal copy of a shared course to use for teaching and enroll students in that copy. It also describes how concluded courses can still be accessed and un-concluded to copy content, and how settings in an existing course allow copying sections or entire modules from other courses.
2. I wonder how I
will find last year’s
Canvas content to
share with the
team…..
3. Course Copies
– Have one copy for you
and other teachers in
which to create
– Make your personal copy
of that course for
teaching
– Enroll students in that
personal copy, not the
original
11. Concluded Courses
• You can still use the content
• They can be un-concluded, just
takes some time
• They can be a record of what
you taught that year, think old
plan book
24. Existing Canvas Courses?
Commons will have more examples eventually,
but it only Launched in January.
You can check out example courses for ideas for
layouts at community.canvaslms.com

There are different types of copies you may have occasion to experience as a teacher:
A copy where you collaborate with other content area experts. This course is created by one teacher and other team mates are added as teachers; there are NO STUDENTS added to these courses.
You may make your own copy of any course you are a teacher in. This course maybe where you combine content from your teammates with other content. This course may be where you alter delivery for your specific student demographics, but it is one not typically shared with other teachers. This course may be in anticipation of your next round of students.
Here is a homepage.
Please click Courses.
Please click on View All or Customize.
Notice that courses from last year which Infinite Campus pushed in, were also concluded by Infinite Campus.
